Sorry but reading this said about the creature who considered this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjjW3i-i76g to be a slow day, really pisses me off. The creature who ordered the massacre of 1200 youths in Bu Sleem prison over the course of a couple of hours and has now seen to the complete destruction of various cities and towns throughout Libya as well as to the deaths of tens of thousands of people. I don't care for being polite with people who would care to name him a "good leader". Apology accepted.

Real life help & advice
Attenuation, I hate to recommend this, but maybe you could start by browsing /mu/ on 4chan. It's a great place to get back into music. Though it is quite full of pretentious people who think their taste is the only good taste, there's plenty of sharing going around. If you've still got your violin, think about playing along. People say degrees in music are risky, but that's only really true if you're planning on being a musician. Degrees can help you become a teacher, which makes a ton of money if you've got proof you know your stuff. You can also perform in orchestras, etc. Releasing music is just as hard (consider Thou have released 25 albums, EPs and LPs, in 5-6 years...), but more rewarding perhaps.

tml, while I haven't read enough to even say what the debate is now about, and I can already tell you're being impolite as can be. Stop being so aggressive, no one is convinced by people who yell.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Damn it, Kalphite, your posts are the longest! First off, you're doing well and you're actually pretty good at this girl thing, so stop thinking about it so tactically, be optimistic, and let your instinct lead the way once in a while. She's quite interested; she's following you everywhere. No one's a bad texter, if you're good at conversation, you're fine. When texting, just start it up again with an old conversation you had, i.e. do what Dan was saying earlier: take a high, humorous point from another conversation and start from there again. If you want to start touching more, next time you see her try getting her from behind and surprising her by poking her waist. Make sure she doesn't have a drink, that [cabbage] always sucks.

Yeah it'll be fine. I don't think the choice of date matters that much as long as it allows you to flirt. Touching (alright, you suck, let me show you how to putt like a man) is a bonus.

By cuff I mean roll. And really, you think that's tacky? I think it would look awesome with white jeans and red Authentics, or even under a brown sweater. Also, I dig the shoes someone posted up there, though I don't like the fact they don't have layered canvas like Authentics.

a) Cardigan inspiration: Make sure it fits, unlike Terron's in the third picture (too long at the sleeves, general slouchy feel compared to the one his buddy on the left is wearing). Also, make sure it's close to your neck; that lighter style of cardigans is cool too. b) Cuff your jeans. c) Avoid graphic tees as much as possible; heck, I don't wear any visible t-shirts at all. Striped tees are okay, but they're hard to pull off. Only Pesko does it well. d) I don't like chelsea boots. I think that's just me though. Also, damn, this is the coolest polo ever: http://www.jackthreads.com/sales/2984/products/28085 Invite code: http://www.jackthreads.com/invite/omarbenmegdoul

She wasn't alone. I do agree it shouldn't be completely in public though.

I was about to say I do that too. That being said, I would totally understand if my friend didn't want to come around because I'm drunk in the bus or something.

Exactly, she's pretty much trying her best to rile you up. She's not entitled to anything on your part considering how disrespectful she's been, remember that.

Just saying, this is on hold for the moment, but I haven't forgotten about this and your advice shall not go to waste.

You must be at least somewhat attractive  That, or it's the performances at the school talent show, or a combination of both. <_<

She's two years younger, and she doesn't sound very interesting. This is easily the fifth time this happens though, hence my mentioning it here. Only once with someone my age, too.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
What I think is most strange is that we're still on this issue. Just pretend she doesn't exist or something. In other news, if you're a girl and you have a crush on a guy you've never met, don't strike up a chat on facebook as if you'd known the other guy forever, it's weird...

Live and learn. fastortoise, the turntable watch you wanted is back on PLNDR. http://www.plndr.com/products-plndr.aspx?ProductID=38506&VendorCode=FLU I still think it's terrible, but it's back. It comes in a nice case, though. I prefer this one, personally: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=00I-0015-00068&cm_re=seiko_beige-_-00I-0015-00068-_-Product

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I don't remember. What I do remember is that it went nowhere, and just grabbed your attention without actually saying anything (which obviously left you with more question than answers). Now, there's no reason to answer her because no matter what you say she'll try to turn it back against you.

a) She's a kid and it shows. The letter she sent you was full of hollow buzzwords, like "love" and "feeling". b) I agree with muggi, removing all means to communicate was unnecessary. If you don't want to be an emotional tampon, then if she tries to force you into that role, tell her to [bleep] off, plain and simple; that was the whole point of my telling you to send her a message saying you needed space. Becoming sulky and turning your nose up at someone when faced with a confrontation strikes me as childish, but what's done is done, so let things stay that way.

I actually know a large amount of people who dress like "hipsters", and believe it or not, they can actually be very nice. Besides, I spy selvedge shorts. I do not endorse your purchase, by the way.

[hide="Large last.fm tag clouds, since 3 and 6 months ago respectively] [/hide] That big progressive metal tag is because of Mastodon but I only really listen to Leviathan; and that's sludge if anything, I actually dislike most prog metal I've heard. Big on doom bands like Thou and Dark Castle, prog are 90% Sympozion and King Crimson plays but I've recently become very fond of PFM's Per Un Amico. Sympozion and Mastodon get extra plays because I play them, and Mastodon gets extra plays because when I can't be bothered to go back into standard tuning, that's what I play. BUT ANYWAY. Not sure I should bite.

Alden Indy boots. Whatever you get, don't buy it at retail. Try ctrl+fing this guy's spreadsheets to see if there's anything you like: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=244784
