Right now I'm weighing up a couple of options, all linking back to money. Where that money will be spent is another point. I think the most important place would probably be Prayer at the moment, but I don't know. 95 Prayer is pretty cool, right? It's the getting of the some 120 to 160M (Depending on whether I'll do frost bones or normal dragon bones, or something in between) that's got me thinking. Do I Slay, and hope I get lucky? Do I learn to TD? Hell, do I learn to stake, or PK, or something? Now I'm thinking how long it would take and how much it'd cost in comparison getting 85 Dungeoneering and getting my own bones.

Eh. I need 85 anyway, and I haven't Dungeoneered in a while. Should be fun. Yeah. That's what I'll do. Whether or not I'll kill Frosts after that is another thing.

As for life, I've been playing a load of L.A. Noire. Onto my second case in Homicide and I'm loving the game. Past L.A. Noire, not much has been happening in life, a couple of parties, not much else. Checking out some uni stuff on Tuesday, which I still gotta organise a whole bunch of stuff for. Eh. I'd prefer to play games at the moment. I've got a couple of assignments that need doing, and they've moved our exams back, so I haven't got any exams in close proximity, kinda happy about that now.

I think I might watch a movie or two and play some RuneScape, catch you next time, ~Dax.

Well, as per my last blog, I've been jumping around doing random things, like getting spells (Got the God Spells, and Bones to Peaches, Livid Farm makes me sad, so not much done on that), doing random things, making a start on Chompies (Yay for ~75 killed), and slowly but surely, my interest for my previous goals, 99 Fishing and Cooking dropped. To a point where I've stopped completely, I might pick it up again to get some easy low attention exp when I get bothered to watch more movies, shows and stuff.

I've gone back to Slayer, which I still love. I suppose it's not that bad that I've dropped Fishing/Cooking at 95, seeing as my last 99 goal stopped at 96 with Attack, which I'm back on. I realised I'm somewhat close to maxing HP (I ain't givin' in to Constitution!), so that'll be fun to get. I still need to get a Fire Cape, but I just couldn't be bothered, too much effort to get training to get it.

Also, if by some amazing chance I get an awesome run of drops and gain 50M or so, I'll get 99 Construction, so I might have to go Stealing Creation for a random few trips to build up a supply of points. Or maybe some Mage and Palm trees for easy Farming exp. Wait. Damn. I'm rambling again.

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.

EDIT: Also, if anyone rolls on through here, how's MA these days? Still horrible, I'd assume, but it's part of Completionist, and double Berserker ring'd be fun to have.

Well, since my old location for blogging has become rather dead, I'm going to try and make some entries here instead, mostly boring stuff, but it gives me somewhere to go on about stuff and distract me from real life, and its ups and downs. Which are more down than up at the moment, I guess. But enough on that, onto the RuneScape.

For a while now, I've thought about maxing out the game, not just skills, but everything, basically a Completionist Cape, before they were around. So I went around, did some minquests, did all the Achievement Diaries I could (I ain't givin' into tasks!), worked to get all the music, do what I could to get there. Though I got lazy and my progress slowed as did the easy things died away. After the actual release, my interest raised again, some things I didn't much like weren't on the list (Before I saw the trimmed requirements) and I went on my way to get closer.

At the moment, I'm skipping between Fishing, Cooking and random things. I've taken a short break after a weekend of Cooking (Went from early 92 to 95 in one day, took it out of me). Now I'm going between Chompies and Mage Training Arena, not that I'll use Bones to Peaches anywhere, but it's a requirement. Chompies are dreadfully boring, but I'll get a fancy lookin' hat by the end of it.

I suppose I'm not seriously going for Completionist, as per the title, but going for as close as I can, there's a little skill down the bottom left corner, called Runecrafting, that's the main problem with maxing out, but hey, it's fun to do random stuff. I should probably learn how to properly Dungeoneer some day, lots of stuff falls in under that. I'm probably going to head up Lunar Island way, try my hand at Livid Farm, see how that goes.. Hell, now I'm just rambling.

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.

I plan to make these 'reviews' monthly, just 'cause, they won't be anything amazing, but I enjoy doing them, and a bit of writing doesn't hurt anyone. Bit late, because I was lazy, and I decided to add in Free Trade and Wilderness, just 'cause I can.

    King of the Dwarves.
I, being a quest nut, love all quests, so this was a good way to start the month, and the year. The story was good, which is what I mainly look for in a quest. It got a bit unlikeable with the troll shenanigans, but I think it'll tie in well in the end, albeit being random as hell in this quest. The boss was pathetic, and I was unhappy about this. The rewards were really give away exp, which is sad. But the gravestone is good, and I like having a big rock. Just 'cause. The finale looks like it's set up well, so that'll be good. How they're going to link the Red Axe to the Penguins and all that will also be good to see.

Overall: 6/10. The story keeps it up, but the diffculty and randomness puts it down.

    Nex.
Well, I have basically nothing to say about her, her drops are insanely overpriced, well, for me at the moment, and I have no bossing skills whatsoever, so I can't get there.

Nor do I want to embarrass myself.

Overall: N/A/10. I can't give an opinion on something I have nothing to do with! Go find a pro!

    Hati Wolf.
Well, for a level 654, it kinda sucks, a team of four of us killed it quickly. This made me sad, and three of us got the drop on the first go (The fourth, was an annoying pure who swore and complained a lot, so I was happy when I heard he didn't get the drop). I like the helm a lot, and the gloves bonuses were good fun to use up, giving me some good exp in my Melees, which I plan to max out some time (When I'm not side-tracked doing other things).

Overall: 6/10. Kind of boring, the rewards were good, sure, but the boss was lacking and could have been much better.

    Wilderness and Free Trade.
One thing's for sure about this update, it made RuneScape seem so much happier, past the begging and the scams, everyone on the whole just seems so happy. I'm not too worried about the Wilderness, as I've never been a PKer, and I don't think I ever will, but they've moved everything I'd go to the Wilderness for now out, really. More to my liking is free trade. Loads of fun.

Overall: 8/10. The annoying PKers, the scammers, the beggars, the bots all drag this down, but the happiness, Free trade, everything like that brings it up.

Catch you next month, which looks to be one hell of a good one, ~Dax.

Weeeell. I have 88 Summoning now, and whilst accomplishing this feat, I stumbled upon possibly the GREATEST CONSPIRACY EVER. The Summoners of the world have plotted against me, thinking no-one would notice, I have. Here it is.

SAME CAMERA ANGLES. THE LADDER MUST CIRCLE AROUND. THE OBELISK MUST BE SO FAR UNDERGROUND THAT WE NEED A CIRCLING LADDER. OR, THERE'S ANOTHER FLOOR!

And there's the level. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

Yeah, only Vambraces, but it's still really good. Good for someone who's been on a spending spree. RuneScape's present to me for finishing year 11. :P

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.

No party cause I have no friends (That and I didn't want to wait for another few hours, organise people, tell them to hurry up and everything that comes with it). Catch you next time, ~Dax.

Well, August is coming to an end, and all the planned updates have been released. I'm bored at the moment so I'm going to chuck out a review for you guys. Now, the BTS mentioned the Void quest, the Occult floors and Conquest. Plus the put back Treasure Trails update. So that's what I'm going to review.

    Treasure Trails Update.
Now, my bank hasn't been graced by one of those amazing Elite clues, though I was trying to get them daily for a while there. Since the update, there was a rush of everyone, really, to go off and try their luck. While I never expected anything amazing like Third Age, I was expecting God armour and other high priced items (Though not as highly priced at Third Age). Since the update, I've obtained one new item (Rune H4 platelegs) and multiple God items and rune trimmed items (Rune platesbody (t), rune plateskirt (g), Guthix full helm). It's pushed up my average clue worth with those items alone. Though, as expected, firelighter rates shot up. Also, it was good that rushing for clues finished up the first set of Court cases for me.

Overall rating: 7/10. Lots of fun with guaranteed rewards, and some of the new stuff (Mainly Ornamental kits, not that I can get them) look awesome.

    A Void Dance.
I'm a man of my quests, the first Achievement cape I got was the Quest cape, and I've never looked back. I loved all the quests (Yeah, even One Small Favour, that shizz was lulzy) and this one is no exception. I ended up letting the pest live, seeing as I'm that nice kinda guy (Yeah, I let the dude live to, but who cares about him?). Personally, I can't wait for the finale, shall be good fun. I wanted to see the mysterious guy in this one too, but alas, he didn't appear to us. Or so I think...

    Overall rating: 7/10.

    The Occult Floors.
*looks at Dungeoneering level* Oh shi-. I'm not really in the place, or should I say level, to review the actual floors, so I'll have to settle with the rewards and the few new rooms they've put into the lower floors, not that I can remember any apart from the Poltergeist.
Herbicide - Nowhere near worth the cost. Maybe if I'd bought everything before it, and it cost half as much as it does now.
Magical blastbox - I'm no Mage, I'll range before I mage, so I have no use for this at all. :-|
Ring of vigour - With a +3 Strength bonus, and a chance to save some Special bar, this looks like the only respectable thing that came from batch 2/1.5/whatever the hell you want to call it of the rewards. Though I'm still saving for a Chaotic Rapier, or anything that's better by Batch 2, 'cause I don't think I'll have the level by then.
Scroll of rigour - I think I'd only buy this for completion's sake. To fill the Prayer tab, otherwise, it's way overpriced for my use.

Overall rating: 6/10. I'm sure it'll get better by the time I get down to those floors/get to buy some of those rewards.

    Conquest (and clothes).
I've only played one game of Conquest, so maybe I should have held back on the review before I came out with it, but meh. I do like the minigame/activity/whatever the hell you want to call it, and I'd like to get back to it sometime soon. Last time they told us to control units, it sucked arse, I'm very happy it didn't go down the same path as Mobilising Armies, as someone once said 'If you say you enjoy MA, you're lying.'
On the clothes side of things, I'm saying update of the month. It's really epic, the choices are everywhere. From the fifty people I've seen dressed like Spartans, or the few naked guys I saw around Varrock, it's lulzy and awesome. Plus I went pretty well at matching my character to look like Jak from Jak 2.

    See the resemblance? :anxious:

Conquest rating: 7/10, should also get better.
    Clothing rating: 10/10. WINNNNNNNNNN.

And that's my review, my opinions, so if you don't like them, gtfo.

(Sorry for the horrible cropping. XD)

Yeah, I'm gonna buy 92 Firemaking with the cash. Gonna do it with Yews, cause I'm a lazy bastard and I have plenty of cash to spare.

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.

BioShock 2 Special Edition? I haz it. Got it just a few moments ago. I'd be hitting the PS3 around about now if it wasn't for the Bio test I have tomorrow. Expect something more tomorrow maybe. If I can be bothered.

RuneScape wise, I got bored and decided to finish the 88 Herblore goal I set a while back. I've only got to make 2,000 more potions, and then it's Extremes for me.

Well, I got bored and saw a Facebook status of my friends, who is going through A-Z of his music, one every day. So I decided to make my own list for the hell of it.

A - Agalloch. A band I was randomly linked to, I don't know what it is about them, but I really like them. Their songs are quite long, which I don't like, but they are really good, in my eyes at least. Favourite song: Not Unlike the Waves.

B - Billy Joel. I'll admit, I only have one of his best ofs, but I'm trying to hit as many letters as possible. When I first got his best of, I knew ALL of the songs on it, maybe the only reason I like him so much. I still don't know where I heard them. Fave song: Everybody Loves You Now.

C - The Cat Empire. An Aussie band. They're pretty damn awesome. (Well, they must be if I have all their studio albums and plan to get their next) Fave song: The Car Song.

D - Dream Theater. They're just epic, and that's all I really want to say. Go listen to them now. Fave song: As I Am.

E - Eagles of Death Metal. Located through my obsession of QotSA, I started listening to these guys. They're nowhere near as good as QotSA, so don't expect much if you know QotSA. Fave song: Stuck in the Metal or Heart On. I haven't decided yet.

F - Fatboy Slim. Ok, here's another 'I only have the best of, but I'm filling letters if possible' one. Fave song: Weapon of Choice.

G - Gnarls Barkley. I heard Crazy, looked for the album, found the Smiley Face single, really liked it, got the album, got obsessed. Fave song: Whatever or Smiley Faces.

H - Ok, I've got nothing. I've got HIM, but they're not that great, not good enough to be here.

    I - Nothing again. :(

J - Jimi Hendrix or Johnny Cash. I can't decide which one I rather. Fave JH song: Fire. Fave JC song: Ring of Fire. What is it with J artists and fire?

K - Kyuss. Somewhat of a start of QotSA, I suppose. I got these guys a fair while after QotSA, but they ended up being a lot better than I expected. Still not as good as QotSA, though. Fave song: Green Machine.

L - Led Zeppelin. Is there any competition for L? Led Zeppelin are just epic. Fave song: Achille's Last Stand.

M - Marilyn Manson. Ever since I heard Coma White (Thanks Crusader), I got a bit obsessed. Coma White is now one of my favourite songs of all time.

N - Nine Inch Nails. I don't know when I got 'em, but when I did, I was a very happy man. Fave song: My Violent Heart.

O - The Offspring. They're just that band that everyone seems to like, and why not? They make everything awesome. Especially cranking their songs at 5:30 in the morning heading to Canberra. Fave song: Vultures.

P - Polkadot Cadaver. One day, my sister came home. She came with this band and gave it to me. My life changed there and then. They were stuck in my head for the next month. And long after. Fave song: Long Strange Trip to Paradise.

Q - Queens of the Stone Age. Never saw that coming, did you? I have NFSUG2 to thank for this obsession. Ever since I heard In My Head, well, obsession took control. QotSA is now my favourite band, and probably always will be. Fave song: Autopilot.

R - Red Hot Chili Peppers. Possibly the first band to get me into music. The first song I heard was Californication, and I was determined to buy their album. I did, and it became my first album I ever bought. They were my favourite band until QotSA came around. Fave song: Knock Me Down.

S - System of a Down. Bam. First listen, obsession again. Fave song: Roulette.

T - Them Crooked Vultures. Josh Homme? Dave Grohl? John Paul Jones? Is this possible? Much obsession ensued after hearing this. Fave song: Mind Eraser, No Chaser.

    U - Nothing. :(

    V - Nothing again. :(

W - Weird Al, to be honest. Hehe. He's just too awesome. Fave song: Albuquerque.

    X, Y, Z. Nothing. :'(

There's quite a list of bands. If you read it all, have a cookie. Suggest me some bands, if you wish.

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.

    New skill + I had 70 + Stats = Take a guess.

Yep, as soon as a site releases a goal signature for Dungeoneering, you'll see one to the left there. And, as I said to my clanmates when I got 99 Defence. The new skill will be my trimmer. So, if it does trim my cape, the whole 'You can go up to 120 thing' is weird and I'm not sure yet. On that note, does anyone know about the whole 'It goes to 120' thing? One of my clan members seems to think that you get the cape at 99, but you can only get that cape trimmed when you hit 120.

Anyway. I do like this skill so far, and I am definitely looking forward to a Bonecrusher. The only thing I don't like so far is the Rewards man. He scares me.

Anyway, catch you next time, ~Daxter.
  13. Dax
99 Defence and 85 Slayer! Woop woop!

85 Slayer messages failed, so I did this. :|

Woo, the log is gratsing me in spirit.

Double Emote. What do you think you're doing? Being awesome, that's what!

    Woot.

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  14. Dax
Yeah. That's it. Going up to a mate's place to see Fight CLub in Blu-ray, widescreen TV, surround sound epicness in a few minutes. I've never seen it before, so it should be good.

    Catch you next time, ~Daxter.

Well, after getting back myself into fighting shape once again. I brought myself to Nomad's lair again. For Round... 23? (No idea, really, that's just a guess?) This time I was pumped. New technique, new gear, new haircut! I did really well, at that. After following a guide I found on the Tube of You, I was going really well. Hitting the occasional 50 (Ruby (e) are really good) I finally got him to go psycho. I think. It went to quick for me to remember, I was behind a Pillar healing up, and just as I stepped out, he yells his second favourite, after 'Face me!' phrase, 'Coward!'. He teleports back to his throne. I yell a few bad words, and type some into the chat, before deleting them at risk of being reported. ;)

Well, I left the Lair after that and proceeded to the Grand Exchange to prepare myself for tomorrow's battle. I'm pumped again, and will defeat him. That's right. I WILL! I will defeat my (temporary, i'm waiting for you, Lucien) nemesis and take his fancy soul throne as mine! HAHA!

    Catch you next time, ~Daxter.
  16. Dax
Well. If you were looking for someone who got BioShock 2 on the weekend, you came to the wrong blog. I'm talking about good ol' number one. I went to [uNDISCLOSED LOCATION] to see my [uNDISCLOSED RELATIVE] and ended up heading into EB Games. After pondering whether or not I should get it for some time. I said to myself 'Stuff it, i'm getting the damn thing'. I quickly grabbed the game, my wallet and proceeded to the counter. Handing it over to the chick there. She asks for ID. I'm short, so she didn't believe I was 15 and able to buy it.

... Well, that was kinda a major inconvenience (Spelling?). I had to walk down the street back to my [uNDISCLOSED RELATIVE]'s house to get my older [uNDISCLOSED RELATIVE] to get me the game. By this time, it had started raining heaps, so my [uNDISCLOSED RELATIVE] made me rush up there before it started getting worse. It did, but that was after we had gotten home... WITH BIOSHOCK!! WOO!

Then it hit me (Well, not really) that I didn't have my PS3. SO I had to wait till today to play it. So far, i'm really impressed. I haven't gotten too far through it, but it's really fun beating away crazed citizens with a wrench! Can't wait to get stuck into it when I don't have a heap of homework.

    Catch you next time, ~Daxter.
  17. Dax
Well, already two days into school (Year 11 in Australia, no idea for anywhere else), school's already given me too much to handle, RuneScape finding itself at the bottom of the list of my priorities. Chosing all three Sciences available to me (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and both Advanced Maths and English has put a lot of work at me. (I also chose Ancient History, but that's really easy for me, being someone who has a large interest in History) Getting the run down for the year from every teacher, it sounded like a lot of work. So, I decided to cut down, or even quit RuneScape.

This is where my problem starts. I can't, no matter how I try, bring myself to sell my stuff. Tell my dad to cancel my subscription and just not play. I have tried this numerous times, but I can't do it. So, turning to my clan for advice. I asked for some non-intense skills to train. Fishing and Woocutting had the most suggestions. So, being someone who has always fancied Woodcutting as a good skill. I hauled myself over to the G-E and bought myself a Dragon Axe.

So, now, i'll be woodcutting instead of Slayer. You'll see a goal bar to the left there, it's to 99, but don't take that as a serious goal. I'll be Woodcutting in World 99 at the Ivy, this is to get myself more involved in TIF, I suppose, so, if you're also Woodcutting, i'd be more than happy to cut with you.

    That's all for now. ~Daxter.
  18. Dax
Well. Yeah. 83 Slayer this morning. May or may not camp them for a bit. If I do, I hope they'll put some cash into the 'Nomad Fund'. Can someone show me the way to kill them? I know you pray for them, but i'd like a set up before I run in all crazy-like.

    Catch you next time. ~Daxter.
  19. Dax
This blog post is dedicated to the random Level 131 who I fought Steels with before she lagged out.

Woke up this morning, had brekky and as it hit 7:30, I remembered what I planned to do today, to go to the TET event. Half an hour late, I didn't bother going. So, I got stuck into Slayer. A few tasks later, I got Steel Dragons. THinking to myself 'God damn it, i'll have to skip this one' after walking in and taking down a few Steels. I decided not to waste my potions and stick around.

A few moments later, a level 131 wit a Soul Wars Cape walks in. I, being one who Nomad pwns every few days, compliment the cape. The 131 replies and we have a good talk. She eventually lags out as I say goodbye. A few kills later...

I take a break and come back to finish off my remaining 28 Steel Dragons, and at around 5 kills remaining...

Well. Now I think i'll enjoy some Pest Control and get that Void Ranger helm I want.

That's all for now, catch you next time ~Daxter.
  20. Dax
Howdy folks, time for another entry/rant about my daily RuneScape life.

Well, as you've heard, either from ranting unexperienced questers or show-offy type people, that Nomad is one hell of a boss. Well, he is. A few days on, and I still haven't beat him.. My maxed friend told me he beat him using some sort of combo including Void armour, and my other friend with similar stats, only higher, said he beat him with a Hand Cannon/Bandos Gosword combo. So, not having Void at my disposal, I took him on like my friend took him on (He won too, damn him), I would have gotten him dead too, if it wasn't for that meddling lag!

After this failure (Which I worked out was my dad online and my brother online PS3-ing MW2) I decided i'd mix the two techniques together, so I took myself over to World 144 and embarked on my epic quest to finish my Void set. (Having Void top and gloves from another 'epic' quest to get it) I have around 40 games to win before I complete the set, but boredom took over and i've decided to clean up my bank a bit, which starts with a clue scroll.

Now, i'm sitting at the G-E waiting for some Snakeskin Chaps to buy. Until next time, ~Daxter.
  21. Dax
Got further through GTA LCS today, as I was bored, a few missions off the last one. I've completed the game before, but I decided to do it again a week or two ago.

Food for tonight consisted of Mi Goreng noodles and Pepsi Max, as my dad was annoyed, so he didn't want to cook me any food.

And now I am messing around on the computer, considering logging onto RuneScape to get 75 Thieving (or closer to it).

I finish Year 10 (can't help on American standards, sorry) on Thursday, and then I will practice my Rock Band over the week extra I get off school. I plan to be able to do Hard songs by the end of the holidays. (i'm not too good, as you can tell from that last comment)
  22. Dax
Well, after completing 80 Fishing and Cooking. I asked a friend (who gave me my previous goal) for something to do, we stood in Varrock West talking for a bit, and then he comes up with Agility. So, at the moment, my goal is 75 Agility, which may or may not be bumped up to 80 when I get to 75.

Also, I spent some ($60 Australian) Christmas money on GTA Chinatown Wars. Best decision of the week, a very good game. Check it out. The drug dealing concept (though it caused some controversy) is good fun, and should be put into future GTA games.

That's all from me! Back to GTA.... Well, after my PSP charges!
  23. Dax

Kuradal wins. I could leave it at that, but that wouldn't be any fun, would it? After completing Lapalok's task of Bloodvelds (I'm getting sick of them), I decided I should give Kuradal a go. New task: Hellhounds. At first, I was annoyed, but then I remember the new cavern right next door. Got the task done in one run. Next task: Tzhaar. Oooo, I could go for the Fire Cape, but it'd be my first try, and I didn't really feel up to it, so I went with the normal guys. Walking away with a shiny new Obsidian Cape for my troubles. New task: 211 Waterfiends. Awesome. I haven't gone to the Fiends yet, maybe later.

Also: What can I do with this Mint Cake I got for free? Apparently it's useful for something, any advice?
