After taking a break from Slayer to get 80 Fishing (From 75), 80 Cooking (From 75) and 75 Agility (From 71, which I got while Fishing), I've gotten back into Slayer. Returning to my task of 211 Waterfiends. I've got to go back and take down 70 more fiends of water! I'm hoping for a Dagannoth task, really, so I can Balmung/Slayer Mask/Super potions my way through the task. After going back to Slayer, i've gone back to my 'I'll get 99 Defence one day' mood. :D

Suprisingly, I wasn't hacked with the other 749,999 other people that were meant to be hacked! WOW! #-o

That's all for now, until next time! ~Daxter.

Well, apparently i'm on the magical list that some fool is going to 'hack' me on New Years. If you haven't heard of this, search around and you'll find some info on it. But anyway, I doubt they'll get me, or anyone in fact. But just in case, I have done some stuff to my account to make sure they wont get any valuables.

I am a bit nervous, although I know it's a hoax, there's always that little bit of doubt, and probably for the better, i'm going to lay of RuneScape for the rest of the year. Hopefully by then, i'll have gotten some more experience in GTA CW, and will have gotten better at it.

That's all from me! See ya next time.

    There I am.
Me (M): Health fine, Prayer fine.
    Daggannoth Mother (D): Red Barred.

M: Ok, c'mon, get off red and onto something else! (Ran out of Fire runes, forgot you needed more than one fire rune to cast Wave)
M: Green? Damn. (Didn't pack a ranged weapon, didn't for HFTD, so didn't for this)
    M: Red? Dang.
M: Green! Stop that! [i drink my second last dose of Prayer potion]
D: [Cycles through more Red and Green
M: [spams my clan's chat with angry comments]
    D: [Continues cycling]
    M C'mon, Damn it!
D: [Yet again, continues Red/Green cycle]
M: [More mindless Clan Chat spam]
    D: [More Red and Green]
M: [Drinks last dose of Prayer potion]
    D: [More Cycling...]
M: [Runs out of Prayer, Teleports out, Spams chat]
Me in real life: [Yells, puches wall, gets some biscuits] We shall meet again, Dagannoth mother.

My walls aren't soft. They aren't any wood type stuff either. So, yeah, I was pissed off. More runes next time, and she will meet a quick end. [Eats biscuits]

EDIT: I beat her in the end. :D

After I finished school at about 11AM and graduated, I went to my friend's place and played PS3, I ended up on vocals on Rock Band, and got 98% (DANG!) on Little Sister (QOTSA), then I got pwned in Modern Warfare (The first one, we're not rich!) . My two friends kept getting me in the wrong place at the wrong time, and I kept doing stupid mistakes (No, you won't make it to the other crate before the Airstrike happens), so my less experienced friend ended up beating me.

    That's it for now!

Well, in an afternoon of boredom, I shall now create a blog. I used to have one down in BlogScape, but it failed on me, so I gave up. Hopefully, this will work better.

    Today:
    - I went to school, no-one was there, as it has been like these last few weeks, exams are gone, so no-one bothers turning up. Rating: 1/5, School is crap.
    - Finished GTA IV for a second time, to gain some Trophies. (PS3! WOO) Rating: 5/5, T'was good fun, even though I had done that ending before.

Tomorrow, i'm going to Sydney (Australia's biggest city, for those who don't know) for a school excursion, I don't know what you crazy Americans call them. Field trip seems to ring a bell... (Post down here and tell me!) So, you wont see me tomorrow or Friday. (Or whatever will it be in America...)

If you have read this far through my ramblings, I congratulate you. I r get p0stz naiw pl0xxXX?

A few nights ago, bored with all my other games, I threw in the Journey collection, intending to continue my Journey, but I decided instead to finish off Flower, and after I finished that, I felt compelled to write this up. I might do a short thing like this as I finish this massive collection of games I have here. We'll see.

    Flower:

Shelf-time (Time it sat on my shelf unfinished): Roughly 2 months.
Total time to complete: Roughly 5 or so hours, spread over those two months.
Cost: $25, with two other games on the same disc.

So, I'll begin this by saying I bought this in the collection that comes along with Journey (The sole reason I purchased it) and flOw, and this was the first of the three I completed. We'll see those later on in this chronicle of finished games. Well, hopefully.

First of all, Flower is the very definition of flashy artistic gaming. Ambiguous goals, bright colours, sparkles all over the place and flower petals all over the god damn screen. It's overwhelming how much it shoves in your face in the few levels (Or flowers, I suppose you could say) you're offered.

But that's not a bad thing in the slightest.

It looks amazing, really. Those looks, to me at least, are the primary driving force to completing this game. All of those colours and sparkles I previously mentioned draw you in with an 'Ooo, shiny' mentality, and it couldn’t have been done any better way. I love it.

You're given nothing to go on, no narrative, not even as much as a word. When you first fire up the game, you're presented with a room, a window and a sickly looking flower on a bench, and from that, your journey begins. This game employs the use of Six-Axis on the PS3, a little used feature (Usually a good thing) that never got proper exposure. On that, this is the first game I've ever played where it's actually used well, instead of a really annoying tacked-on use, like in GTA IV (God damn tutorial in the phone) or the Ratchet and Clank (I never used those guns. Ever) games. Using Six-Axis, and feeling silly doing so, you steer over to the flower and are thrown into a completely new world, no story, no nothing. Especially no annoying tutorial that assumes I've never played a game in my life.

Your goal in Flower, though not explicitly stated, is to fly around a massive open field-sort area and bloom flowers by flying close by, as you 'bloom' these flowers, a petal from that flower joins your chain, and so over the stage you build a massive collection of flower petals (Which looks very pretty). You're steering with the controller, so it adds some slight difficulty until you find your bearings and remember that you have to use motion controls, and then it's only a matter of going the right way.

As you drive your flower chain through the level, the world opens up to you. As you head through fields full of dead grass, they are brought back to life and explode into a sea of green. As you head through dark fields covered in old power lines, you re-light lamps atop them. As you head through ruined cities, you destroy old pillars and paint buildings bright shades of blue, green and yellow.

Though the journey is short, the journey is beautiful. Every stage throws a new purpose at you, even if the mechanics don't change. Every moment of this game is enjoyable. Even after you finish each and every stage and reach the credits, you're thrown into another level, where you control a final petal as you 'play' the credits. Seriously, I love this game.

Final rating: Try it, carry on if you like what you see. And you will, trust me.

Welcome to what I guess will be the new format for my blog. Over recent weeks and months I've just not done enough to warrant a weekly thing, and I don't put much effort into it at all. So, hopefully, doing it this way will make me give more of a crap about it, but probably not. I don't even know why I still do these. Haha. Anyway, onto stuff.

First up, I suppose, will be my SCROLL PIECES. Which, unfortunately, for the time being, I HAVE NONE LEFT TO GET. Cleaned up the last of the scroll pieces at some point this month and acquired that nice little max port score, you know, a few weeks before POP V2. BUT I DON'T CARE.

Pretty damn awesome to see this lovely looking at me when I read my book.

I'm very excited for POP V2. Unfortunately, it sounds like we're not getting the new adventurers I want, but having more stuff to shoot for (Past 100K in all resources, which is what I've opted for spending my time in my port doing) and do is very much welcome.

So, I got lazy when Birthright of the Dwarves was released and gave up before the first little run through the Lava Flow Mine or whatever that place was. This month changed that, I got sick of seeing one quest left to do, so I set off and cleaned it up in a couple of days. I destroyed Grimmson and nearly took down Hreidmar once or twice, but got frustrated at the third or fourth attempt. My Chaotic Rapier seemed to have a little moment and I couldn't do as much damage as I had been. I yelled and got angry and ragequit that quest for a day. Came back with magic and annihilated them.

I finished the quest, sure, but had no idea what the problem with my technique was, I didn't change it at all, I just wasn't doing the right damage. So after the quest, as I was sorting my bank, I saw my Rapier there. Degraded. Face met palm and I pieced it together. Ah well, quest cleared, and now I can finally get an Imcando Pickaxe! Man, I hope that's not annoying to do.

And it's not! Hooray! Nice little shiny new thing, I'm gonna get a ton of Mining levels with this...

Woo! But that means my Smithing level is out of sync with Mining, and I WILL NOT ST-

Oh, cool. Man, that Artisans Workshop gives some pretty cool stuff for FashionScape, if only my Golden Cannon could become even MORE ridiculous. It can? Oh!

Man, that's cool. If only I could use that cannon well, my Ranged level is pretty crap, comparitively.

    Hmmmm.

    Nah.

I can't link the last two to that well enough, here's a couple of Divination levels for ya:

And a nice shiny Dungeoneering level, freshly obtained this morning, just for you, yeah, you, you're cute, I like you, wanna go out for a coffee or something sometime?

And that's about it. Unless I get something I'm particularly proud off, I'll just stick to monthly updates, I have way too many other games to play and RS no longer gets the attention it used to. Catch ya next time (Holy crap man, that'll be at the end of this year/start of the next, crap man, this year's gone way too fast, I don't like it), ~Dax.

OH MAN. GOD DAMN. Closed the tab accidentally after typing up this entry. eh. 80+ stats. lots of div. here's pictures

    scroll pieces. six to go

Only had three scroll piece voyages this week, failed one. :c Argh. Closing that tab really set me off. Anyway, catch you next time, ~Dax.
  9. Dax
YEAH BOY. 73 DIVINATION. THAT MEANS OVER 1M TOTAL EXP IN THE NEW SKILL. YOU GUYS ARE ALL JEALOUS.

So yeah. Stuff and stuff. I got nothing to say. I just remembered this and thought I'd better do something.

Got 95 Ranged. This is looking like it'll be my last 99, to be honest. Magic levels naturally, but Ranged only gains exp rarely and I don't care to train it.

    AND SCROLL PIECES.

    VAMPYRISM. DONE.

GEM-FINDING. NEARLY DONE. Not much more to go now! Woo!

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  10. Dax
Oh yeah! 99 Hunter! I was expecting this to be my last 99 for the longest time, probably since the beginning of this little ol' goal of mine, but with lamps and laziness, I've prevailed. I accidentally got this one at Burthorpe, forgetting about the doubled exp rewards of daily challenges, but that doesn't matter as it's all over now!

Next goal, using up all my leftover pendants/recharge gems on Smithing, getting that together with Mining, then other things. Good thing I've already made a start on both of those:

Also bought this, because I like spending points, and because this is what I'm doing at the moment.

    SCROLL PIECESSSSSSSS.

    CRUELTY DONE.

    VAMPYRISM MOSTLY DONE.

    CATCH YOU NEXT TIME, ~DAX.
  11. Dax
Woo! With a lot of work and annoying Jade voyages, I've finally acquired my fourth and final ship, The Prancing Gnome. She joins the ranks of The Beautiful Nigel, The Monkey Monkey and The Purple Penguin. Quite happy to finally get the fourth. It'll make getting resources and everything so much faster.

In other Ports news, I've also acquired another fourth, this time, the fourth and final Tetsu Helm scroll piece. Now, given the plate, I can complete the set. I currently have a nice and neat 50 plate in my reserves. Luckily, both the Whaler and the Biologist have arrived on the past two days, and they've been best friends and wanted to go sailing together.

I'll save my plate for the platebody, then the legs, then finally the helm. Scroll efforts will now be place in Seasinger robes. Poor ol' Ranged gets neglected by me, but don't worry, I'll get ya one day, Death Lotus gear.

In other boring news, I did an easy clue I got from a man I accidentally killed. I got nothing of worth, but here's the screenshot.

Finally, I'm happy to see this level, 98 Dungeoneering! A delving task a day gets the exp up quick. I can't believe I'm so close to this one. Never thought I'd see the day. I'm excited for sure.

Ignore the exp wasting small, c6, solo floor. Heh. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

Alternative Title: The World OH GOD I CAN'T MAKE THESE DECISIONS JAGEX HOW DO YOU SO EASILY TOY WITH MY EMOTIONS.
Alternative Alternative Title: The World o gawd da feels so many feels

[spoilers ahead, folks. Though the way Jagex is treating this quest, they won't be and can't be spoilers for much longer.]

And what an awakening it was. Hands down the best update of the year, which of course, is not a hard achievement to acquire just yet, and I can only hope that it'll be beaten somehow and hopefully on multiple occasions. Truly a great quest, and I enjoyed it so much more than any quest we've had in a long time. In fact, I believe the last quest I truly enjoyed was the Ritual of the Mahjarrat, and that was way back (And much further back than I thought when I looked it up).

Unfortunately, it was very short. the combat was somewhat challenging, but not too difficult to work out (I only died once, and that was when I didn't realise what the Automaton was doing), the puzzle was so-so (After I worked it out, it was very easy), so I was somewhat disappointed in the ways of gameplay, but it made up for its shortcomings in other ways. The real reason this quest was so good was because of the soundtrack and the lore.

First I'll have a little chat about the soundtrack. Amazing stuff. They really go all out for Grandmaster quest soundtracks. I remember While Guthix Sleeps' music being ridiculously good. But this was even better. The battle music really upped the ante (Though I picked the right Guardians for the right rooms, so they were all really easy fights) and made it one hell of a battle. The music in Guthix's old home made me super sad and that was awesome. And that's about it for the soundtrack.

    Soundtrack summary: Ridiculously good soundtrack.

I'm a lore guy. Give me a lore-heavy quest and I'll be more than happy. This filled my lore requirement and then some. I've never been toooooo much of a fan of combat. I had a very long Slayer phase, but even then I've jumped around a lot. Even though I've maxed my melees and I'm well on my way to Magic/Ranged. Combat heavy quests have always been a disappointment to me. Lately, I've been staring at The Brink of Extinction, hating its uncompleted status, thanks to the combat. Other quests like Dream Mentor, Desert Treasure and such were horrible moments in the way of my quest cape.

The story was amazing. Just so good. I never expected the death of Guthix until Sliske showed his face. That smile he gives you as he stabs Guthix made me hate him so much, yet love him so much for being such a great villain. I'm kind of glad the Dragonkin took care of Lucien for us, so Sliske could have his moment. A much better villain than Lucien ever was. Lucien would have announced his plan and acted like a great almighty Mahjarrat about it. Sliske just teleports in, kills Guthix and takes off. Leaving the mystery and some of his stockpile of awesome.

When it came to choice time I had to walk out of the room and make a very difficult decision. Azzanadra and Wahisisiisitisrisitel had been such good allies until this point, but the Guardians of Guthix had more of a good point, and I am kinda one of them now. Zilyana had no reasons whatsoever and I didn't consider her option. Saradomin is lame, anyway. I had my walk and decided to side with the Guardians, hoping my Mahjarrat chums would respect my logical decision. Thankfully, they did.

I got a little annoyed at the druids for building a big ol' shrine right in front of Guthix's body. But then I remembered that they weren't talked to like I was. His story was quite sad, and I nearly shed manly tears, but I held them back and honoured the passing god's final wish. Though I remembered him when I lit the lamps and prayed at the shrine for 150K free exp (Sorry Guthix, but free exp!).

I truly can't wait to see what Sliske does with this stuff. Hopefully the story continues in the way it has been, 'cause I am definitely ready for more.

    Story summary: Ridiculously good story.

And for the other stuff this week. Here's the weekly Dominion Tower update. Not too much progress this week, though I got quite lucky and got three journal pages in two low DF chests. Past that, not much movement there.

Another port update as well. If only I had the jade to buy them. But my jade will first go into my ships!

And finally, the only level of the week.

91+ STATS, YO. GET ON MY LEVEL.

Next week, we'll likely have a new 99 for your eyes to feast upon. BET YA WON'T GUESS WHICH ONE.

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  13. Dax
And here they are! I've got to get back to Black Mirror.

Here's my Dominion Tower stuff, cleared a lot of stuff off the list, and I got another two journal pages.

And some Port stuff. Unlocked the next region and can now get shiny green rocks!

    Also scroll pieces.

And finally, a couple of levels.

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  14. Dax
    First, a clue.

    And second, a level.

I'm feeling like I'll be playing a fair bit of SC this week, hopefully get some hammers, and hopefully get some Construction levels. I want to use up that 99 I bought. Haha. Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  15. Dax
First of all, I got sick of the Agility event, so I went for a stroll and had a chat to the people in the crowd. They didn't talk back. Jerks.

Then I decided that I'd get more use out of a Herbicide than anything much else from Dungeoneering, so I bought myself one of them, I'll be doing a lot more, so prayers won't be too hard to get.

Maybe now I won't skip Abberant Spectre tasks. Haha.

Last of all, I got a little closer to another 99. Here's 98 Summoning!

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  16. Dax
Forty weeks down, and I'm still a far way away! Woo! Got a couple of levels this week, one being another 90!

First things first, a terrible clue, I screenshot them all anyway, so I may as well put them up:

Thanks to the Olympics, I've been gaining a lot of Agility exp, which is awesome, as it gets tedious, and a free 35k exp per day is awesome. Got a level this week:

Next up was another 90, and through this 90, Ranged has jumped quite a few places in my imaginary list of what 99's to get next. First time chinning, and it's awesome.

And I was less than 100k from this level, so I thought I might get it, and I didn't want to, but then my girlfriend forced me into it.

That's all for this week. Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  17. Dax
Time for another entry in the amazing blog of Dax. Did a whole bunch of Dungeoneering this week, currently looking for 90, and the prayers, so I can clean up some other side parts of Completionist. I've been Dungeoneering mostly with my girlfriend, and so when I can't be doing that, I've been up on Lunar Isle, at the Livid Farm, looking for spells, I'm very close to the third spell, and it's likely I'll get it sometime this coming week. Also on that front, got another 90+ skill, Magic! Here are the screenshots of the levels this week:

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  18. Dax
Got a nice selection of levels this past week, also got bothered and finished the last Fremennik Saga (Moia's, I failed it so many times around release because of stupid things, like getting all the way through and only then realising I messed up one of the memories at the start, so I just left it and ignored it). Plus I bought myself a Scroll of Cleansing, so when the money I need for Herblore turns up (It will somehow, I promise), I can save a little of it for other pursuits.

    Got another 90!

    Got closer to another 90!

Did a reasonable amount of Dungeoneering this week.

Also experienced this famous little glitch while doing it.

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  19. Dax
Only got back from a week away yesterday, so I wasn't able to get this posted, here's my single level and a terrible clue for you. Next week is looking like it'll be a lot better already.

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  20. Dax
    Thanks, Runespan!

Good week. Also finished off another Elite task. Only have to get a Fire cape, a Summoning level and do a bunch of Temple Trekking, then tasks are gone. Though it looks like I'll be taking a break from Runecraft soon, maybe going to try getting 99 Magic with someone. Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  21. Dax
Just the one level this week, thanks, Runespan, for making Runecraft tolerable, if at least only for a little while!

I'll be spending a while here. I'll definitely get Wicked Robes (Already have the cape) and the recolour. I'll probably grab esteem levels when I can after that,. Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  22. Dax
Only got the one level this week, but a decent one. One to go!

Should have #12 next week, if the last 50 or so levels of Temple Trekking go by fast (The last task I need to finish for Elite Morytania). Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  23. Dax
I stuck to my word. I thieved to:

And as we all know, this past weekend was the Bonus Exp Weekend, so I prepared myself and stood at the door to my house with 20 oak planks in my inventory and my money pouch filled up, as soon as I woke up the morning after it begun (It started at 11PM in Australia, which is the time I usually go to sleep), I begun my Construction.

Then I had to go visit my sister in hospital, so I missed a day, but when I returned, I got:

Now that the weekend's over, I'll be working full time on Thieving, I'm getting that bastard, and soon. Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  24. Dax
    First I got:

And then I got the much better:

And then I did a clue and got:

(Looked better than it was with the armour updates)

And now I'm powering through Thieving (I'll get 96 later today, and will continue Thieving until BXP, when I'll be training Construction. Catch you next time, ~Dax.
