  1. 40: 99 Runecrafting Acquired!

    · Dax · 06/20/12 07:06 AM

Awesome week. First I got 98, as you do.

    Then I got 99!

(Waited to try and get both messages in, missed it by a second, I regret everything D: )

And that's another 99! Quite a few to go. Looks like I'll be spending some time at Stealing Creation to get the hammers I need for Construction. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  2. 39: Completionist: Week 32.

    · Dax · 06/13/12 08:09 AM

Got all these levels throughout the week, but I'm not sure in what order, and I'm too lazy to check, but here they all are!

Also did a couple of clues while getting the Ranged and Magic levels, here they are too:

(Didn't even realise I didn't crop this one. The secret's out! I listen to Neil Young! D:)

That's all for now. Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  3. First up, I got a Runecrafting level.

Then, with the necklace bonus from May (Which I used in about 30 minutes), continued on and had around 120k exp to the level. Luckily, I hadn't cashed in my Penguin points for the week, nor Troll Invasion for the month. So I got them done and was within 8k. Ah-ha! I thought, I'll just use Jack of Trades and finish it all off. Alas, I had to wait two hours for that, but when I did:

Feels pretty awesome not being able to ever get a Combat level ever again (Well, unless they release another skill that may increase it). Theeeeeeeen I'd went off to Runespan and got another level:

And accidentally got this one while doing my dailies:

And I still haven't got a Fire cape! Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  5. 36: Completionist: Week 29.

    · Dax · 05/23/12 08:27 AM

Did a clue, got a terrible reward, as usual.

I then decided enough was enough, and powered through the last 30 or so Temple Trekking levels. Worked out that the exp from the lamps would push me over to 95 Summoning, so that's what I did.

Only two tasks to go, both requiring a Fire cape. So I did the only logical thing, went and tried for a Fire cape.

And I didn't get it. Got distracted and a 360 hit me.

    So I tried again.

And I didn't get it. Jad's new since I've last seen him, so I didn't know his sounds well enough.

Ah well. I might be 138 before it happens, but I'll get it one day.

Now I'm going back to Runecrafting!

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  7. #32: Completionist: Weeks 24/25.

    · Dax · 04/25/12 08:19 AM

Two weeks in one! Amazing, isn't it? Was out of town last week, so I couldn't update.

    Only got:

Last week. Was trying to get an Arcane Stream to slightly speed up Slayer and Magic.

As for this week just past, I got three levels, Mining:

Yay Rune, not that I'll mine any, but yay! And I just realised I left the preview up for Foobar. Well, I was listening to Presidents of the United States of America when I got it.

    And Hunter:

I'd like to level this again for Dragon Implings (So I can just grab 'em when I see them), but I'm lazy and not much a fan of Hunter. Then I did both new Sagas (Only fully doing Thok's as he's amazing and I love every moment of his sagas, and I messed up one thing in mind reading in Moia's and didn't want to do it again, though I will finish it up some day) and got enough exp/tokens to get this fancy amulet thingy:

Might just do another level of Dungeoneering to get to 85. Been meaning to do so since Frost Dragons anyway. I then decided to spy on some penguins and got this:

Might try do that Nature crafting for the Elite Karamja Diary now it's slightly easier. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  8. #31: Completionist: Week 23.

    · Dax · 04/11/12 01:26 AM

Got a couple of levels this week.

    Mining:

    And Ranged:

Did a clue and got some bad rewards:

As for now, I've been Temple Trekking. Should have it, and Elite Morytania tasks, done some time soon. Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  9. As the title says, I've finally got #12! Woo! I kept everything I stole from 88(-ish, not sure exactly) to 99, and here it is.

Got Black Ibis Legs on my fifth last run, I want to go finish the set, but it'll probably take me another fifty years. Through my entire 99 journey, I think I got around eight sceptres, although no fancy ones from the Sarcophagus.

But then my pile of stuff turned into cash:

And here are the 99 pictures.

    And I got:

Then I went back to the ol' Slayer and got:

    And did a clue:

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  10. #24: Completionist: Week 16.

    · Dax · 02/22/12 04:09 AM

First I finished off my Skoll boots (Finally). I got around 1.1M Agility exp from them.

    Then I finished this:

    And got:

(Got double exp from the quest too. Was awesome.)

Then I did a clue and got:

Then I started on my Hati Paws and got this:

And then I did another clue and got:

    And yet another:

Then I continued with my Hati Paws and got:

Then I did a fourth clue and got this:

All in all, better week than others. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  11. #23: Completionist: Week 15.

    · Dax · 02/15/12 04:26 AM

Had some spare cash lying about, alongside the charms for it, so I got:

One for all but Runecraft/Fire Cape tasks left, and two left for 138.

    And then I got this:

Two to go until I can boost for tasks. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  12. #21: Completionist: Week 13.

    · Dax · 02/01/12 08:22 AM

And so I got this, thanks to Skoll boots (Having it in the 90s makes it look so much better):

And then I got this. Four to go!

Also bought these, which should get me somewhere close to 99 Construction come the next Bonus Exp Weekend (If not, boost me up quite a bit).

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  13. Excellent week, this was. So it begun, with me finishing the new quest, as I always do, as soon as possible.

(Damn shame that most of this stuff is largely useless for me, with 99 Firemaking)

Then I got something of a donation from a friend of mine (Thank you very much, Goon), which led to some money making and:

    And:

Then I got this and this:

So I could get this and this (I currently dislike the new level screens):

So yes, very good week! Now Ill be heading back down to Sophanem for some Thieving, hopefully ending that pursuit, and another 99. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

EDIT: Got this a little bit after, thought I may as well chuck it in here. Love mah Skoll boots.

  14. #18: Completionist: Week 10.

    · Dax · 01/11/12 01:57 AM

    My blog, now on Wednesdays!

Only one level this week, 94 Thieving.

Hopefully I'll be able to get closer to 99, but play time is set to drop with me starting work today. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  15. #17: Completionist: Week 9.

    · Dax · 01/04/12 08:20 AM

    Two levels. 82 Runecrafting:

Also pictured, my favourite way to train Runecrafting.

    And then 81 Hunter:

Testing out Draconics/Commons, theyre easy enough to do and reasonably fast (Only set to go faster), Hunter may be coming earlier than I thought.

I was out of town last night and unable to do my update, so here it is tonight. Not much has been happening, though that may be me still being a bit tired and such from the trip. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  16. #16: Completionist: Week 8.

    · Dax · 12/27/11 03:43 AM

Imagine theres an 85 Ranged picture here. First I forgot I was close to the level, then I forgot to take the screen of the level, then I went to get something to eat, logged out, and missed the level screen. :3

There's been a reasonable amount of RS taking place however. I have calmed my Skyrim obsession (Finished Companion's, Thieve's Guild, Imperials/Stormcloaks mission strands) and now have less to do. I got God of War III and LittleBigPlanet 2 for Christmas, so RS time may get lower again once I can pry my brother off the PS3. I've jumped back into Slayer and herb runs, and so I'm aiming to get some good exp in Ranged/Slayer, and get the money for Prayer/Summoning (Though probably more likely to be Prayer, I want a new cape :3).

    Catch you next time, ~Dax.
  18. This week was actually productive, as in, I started farming Torstol again. Been making some good money to go towards buyables. Plus I got a free Red HWeen mask.

Best herb run Ive ever had:

20 of which from Trollheim, also the highest amount from a patch (Also the run before I got 18 herbs and a free Torstol seed, so Ive been getting lucky at Trollheim).

First for levels came 97 Fletching:

Then I got this from a pretty cool guy for free:

(Again, Napalm, ily) Not sure if Ill sell it off for 99s or not. Seems like cheating.

Then I got 81 Runecraft through penguins:

    98 Fletching, one to go:

And then it came, the first 99 Ive gotten since the beginning of my Completionist goal: 99 Fletching:

I was told to Get the better looking purple cape by my girlfriend, so if I can stand it, my next 99 goal will be 99 Thieving, unless of course, I sell my mask, then Ill be getting Prayer, and maybe another buyable. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  19. #12: Completionist: Week 4.

    · Dax · 11/29/11 12:06 AM

First up, I got 95 Fletching.

    Then 96.

Then I was a little bit from a Mining level, so I got it.

A slightly more productive week than usual. Looks like Polypore might get me back into Slayer, if only for one level to 95 to get to the big guys. Might update this post later with 81 Runecrafting, if I could be bothered to get it. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  20. #11: Completionist: Week 3.

    · Dax · 11/22/11 10:27 AM

Did a bit of Fletching this week, and gained 94 Fletching:

Then I finished up the Golden Mining suit:

This whole Completionist is going slow, considering I got a job, and fifty thousand other games to play. Might make a serious push to finish Fletching or Thieving off, I don't know. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  21. #10: Completionist: Week 2.

    · Dax · 11/15/11 06:39 AM

Not much in the ways of levels. Incredibly boring week. Didnt really have any motivation for RS.

Got double Veracs Helms in the 2x weekend:

    (Probably a terrible set-up, too :3)

    And 92 Thieving:

And thats it. Hopefully more next week. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  22. #9: Completionist: Week 1.

    · Dax · 11/08/11 08:36 PM

Not much happening this week. A couple of levels here and there. First level was 80 Runecrafting, which I lack the picture of. Got it through Trolls. Also marks 80+ stats. Next up was 84 Crafting. Got through air battlestaves.

Then came 82 Mining at Lava Flow Mine, got boots, gloves and hats of the suit so far. When thats finished, off to LRC.

Somewhat more respectable was 93 Fletching.

Considering moving into BlogScape. I do very much prefer this way of blogging, but few people make the effort to comment and such, if they even read. Ill have more chance in there. I think. Eh. Ill think about it. Catch you next week, ~Dax.
  23. On October 24th, I passed seven years of RuneScape. The first three or four were spent only playing F2P during the weekends (No access to the internet during the week).I later moved house and had access to the internet all day every day, it was roughly this time I finally got members. Needless to say, I wasted a whole load of time. But thats all nostalgia to me, and something you probably dont care about (And I doubt you care about much of this, anyway). Anyway, onto other things.

Well, I finished school forever earlier this morning, after three weeks of exams, in which I left TIF a couple of weeks before that, to lower my distractions, only returning to be the bringer of bad news, and that was only to FG (RIP Ben), but now Im back! In my break, I acquired one 99, Strength, classy, I know. Heres the screen if anyone cares:

As the title says, Ive decided. Ive decided that in my new found freedom, I will be making a push to get the cape Ive longed for since its release. Completionist. Which only comes down to four things, maxing out, finishing all tasks (Only five remaining), finishing Livid Farm (Nine spells left!) and visiting Nex (For her music). Everything else comes through Dungeoneering (Prayers and music). I love goal signatures, so here we go:

    Ranged:

Shall be through Slayer, perhaps some Chinning and such if I find the money.

    Prayer:

Shall be obtained when I come into some money. Second priority for money spending, for 138.

    Magic:

A large portion will be done through Livid Farm, a bit through Slayer, and perhaps some bursting or what have you for charms.

    Runecraft:

Effigies, Penguins, Trolls, Tears of Guthix, assisting people when I get there. Yes. I hate this skill.

    Construction:

Oak doors or mahogany tables with SC hammers. Shouldnt be terribly hard after I obtain the money.

    Dungeoneering:

Havent got much choice for this one, first goal, however, is to get good at it.

    Agility:

    Gnome or Barbarian Advanced. Lots.

    Herblore:

When I get money, Ill make potions.

    Thieving:

Pyramid Plunder with some Monkeys to mix it up a little if need be.

    Crafting:

Ill craft things with SC needles when I get the money.

    Fletching:

Current goal. Makes a little money, easy to do, reasonably fast.

    Slayer:

Ill slay things with Ranged and Magic.

    Hunter:

Second least favourite skill. Will be done at Herblore Habitat.

    Mining:

LFM until full conquistador suit thingy, then LRC, probably.

    Smithing:

Whatever with SC hammers. May drop into Artisans for the sake of it.

    Summoning:

First priority to spend money on. Charms through Slayer. Again, for 138, currently 137.

The non-mentioned skills, Ive got already.

As for the trimmed Completionist cape, its very unlikely, I will be starting to do Strange rocks each week, theyre easy enough to get, plus they put a little extra exp on those skills I dislike, but other things on that list (5,000 Castle Wars is first to mind) are a real pain in the arse. Heres hoping I can get there.

I shall probably do one of these updates each week, containing all my achievements. Unless I do nothing that week, in which case, I wont. Quite simple, really. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  24. #6: 99 Farming.

    · Dax · 07/26/11 06:32 AM

Derped and accidentally got rid of the actual 99 screen, but ah well. Here it is. Next planned? Fishing/Cooking or Strength. Fishing and Cooking seems a lot more likely, as I've grown somewhat tired of combat recently (My two 99's before Farming being Attack and HP). I also do plan to fish all day this coming Friday, whilst watching Star Wars through for the first time. Plus they're less stressful and I can multi-task in many more ways than just Star Wars. Catch you next time, ~Dax.

  25. #5: 99 Hitp.. Constitution?

    · Dax · 07/10/11 12:47 PM

Well. Yeah. Spent most of today getting it. About half an hour scouting 117 and Assistclan to get the 97 Construction effigy I had assisted so I didn't have to get the last ~46k exp by fighting. Who knew it was so hard to get an assist for that? That's all for now. Next 99 planned? Farming. Catch you next time, ~Dax.
