  1. I dont like it. It makes you feel like they changed the whole name of the game because of one update and I dont see any reason to put the top bar in a less accessible location while taking up a giant chunk of the page for a big graphic and tiny logo. I really hope they change it back. I do not want this turning into WoW
  2. the page the game is on is now immediately timing out. Im thinking they are making progress(was sitting trying to connect for awhile before) SERVERS ARE UP!
  3. they are only rolling back to about a minuet before the system update that caused all this trouble
  4. I suggest that everyone takes this time to go read the KB posts about the new skill. I read it as soon as it was released and I am now the one people turn to and ask questions about it. So go read the KB for once and you wont have to ask even more questions once you can play again
  5. Right now i so wish I screen shotted the adventure log saying I got 87 prayer. The adventure log is just way messed up. So are the highscores Goodness someone PLEASE edit the first post to stop all the people whining that they lost 5 bagilion levels!
  6. Noooo... why can't people read dammit? I believe my eyes more than Jagex's words and the hiscores show 79 attack, not 80, which means that there were like 8 hours lost not 30 minutes. so you believe your eyes which have no idea what is going on but you dont believe the jmod saying that the highscores are just rolled back that far and will update correctly when you log back in?
  7. thats because they are still rolling back. it takes awhile to transfer a few million players worth of data for anyone who hasnt seen
  8. Adventure log is now saying my account was not found. so either i am banned (didnt abuse the bug so doubt it) or they hit a milestone with the rollback
  9. Lol at some guy on RSOF who claimed he lost a sara hilt because of the rollback when he has 67 agility
  10. That doesn't make sense. I had 82 rc from glitch. Then I logged out, checked highscores, and was back at 75. They did another rollback and my dung lvls got [bleep]ed so your saying they do a full copy of everyones game data every 30 mins? I doubt it. they have some system in place that probably works similar to what i described.
  11. my guess with the rollback time is that jagex does a full copy of game data every so often (once a day?) then they do copies of only xp that has changed or something. so right now they have finished loading the old full copy and are working on using the partial copies to get it back up to 30 mins ago
  12. just to let everyone know. the exp has been rolled back now. waiting for servers to go back up
  13. they are done rollback. server still offline (i went back to 70 rcing on highscores ;)
  14. When else have they done a rollback? i am grad they did though
  15. For the people saying its repetitive. I do not see how it can be repetitive when every dungeon is completely randomly generated. A random boss is selected, random rooms, random monsters. I have had a 5 room floor 11 dungeon that was extremely easy and a 12 room floor 6 dungeon that I found difficult. It is ALL COMPLETELY random. that is what makes this skill like nothing I have seen before.

    Nomad vs Kyatt

i used ruby bolts and tort/in of rocktials. those were the secret
  17. I have switched between quite a few mmorpg's over my time of playing online games but I always come back to Runescape because it is different. I am not a particularly good writer but I hope to express my hopes and fears for the future of Runescape in the following post. The first thing that I love about Runescape is the skills. Sure other games have woodcrafting and potion making but those are usually tedious and put on the back burner. In some other games you spend hours running to random spawn locations to get enough wood to level up just once. Commonly you have to buy recipes and go through a 3 or 4 step process to get the item you wanted to make in the first place which is probably not worth it in the first place. In Runescape you know there will always be high level resources at certain places and the lower level resources are plentiful to help you get a good foothold in the game world. Runescape doesn't limit you to only being able to become a grandmaster in one skill, you can switch between skills and not worry about making a decision that could affect your ability to play the game in a year or two. Runescape gives you freedom in picking what you want to train and skills are very much so prominent unlike in other games where they are often poorly trained and put on the back burner. Another thing I love is the armor and weapon system. There are no weapon enchantment cards, no Bandos Chestplate (+12), you do not have to be insanely rich to get the extremely powerful items. I know things such as Bandos is on the expensive side but just imagine the price of Bandos if we had the ability to enchant armor. It would turn into who can enchant their armor to the highest level which is seriously discouraging to those who cannot afford it. I have not found another online game that can match the array of armor and weapons that are still useful at higher levels. Other games are just about grinding levels, buying the "Super Pwnage weapon (+15)" and hunting the 3 or 4 end game bosses. In runescape as you level up you do unlock new weapons and armor but when you get a group of people together that and look at their gear you will find it is extremely diverse, Void, Dragonfire shield, rune defender, barrows armor, staff of light, whip, godswords, there is an extremely large number of items that are useful in their own situations which means that there is no "Ill just buy this one thing and I have the best item in the game" like I see in other games. One thing I like about Runescape is how you can see level 138's standing next to level 3's who just came off of tutorial island. In other games as you progress in skill you go to higher level areas and seldom go back to the starting point or lower level areas. This creates a major separation between higher levels and lower levels and takes away the opportunity to help out someone new to the game and makes the higher levels forget the times when they were new and needed help. I still go back to Varrock and Falador and even Lumbridge daily and if I see someone who needs a point in the right direction I will surely help them out. It helps people remember that they were a noob once too and might just give them that extra incentive to help someone out who is in need. The last thing I will post about that I like in Runescape is the quests. Quests aren't completely linear nor are they just menial "go kill 10 goblins". Each quest has a story and a purpose, you really get a sense of satisfaction when you see the quest complete scroll pop up on your screen on a difficult quest. Unlike in other games I have played where completing a quest was always "kill 10 of these" or "get 15 of these" and after you finished the task the same quest would come up again. It really took away the sense of purpose and really helping someone out when they do not acknowledge that you already found 10 lost crates for them even thought they never gave a reason why they need those 10 crates or how they got lost in the first place. RuneScape's quests are different, full of story and suspense and can really affect you emotionally, I was very sad during While Guthix Sleeps that my favorite master was no more. Quests like that really shine in Runescape, they permanently affect the game world in an irreversible way and makes you part of an ever changing story of RuneScape. I made this post because of people saying they want life point boosting armor and because of the article on tip.it times today, I feel like RuneScape is special to so many people because of the fact that it does not have those things and I really hope that Jagex will keep RuneScape different so it can stand above the other games like it does now.
  18. All skills 70+ is a good goal, quite a bit of work though. gl

  20. one of the last pictured of Hp me getting first place in my 2nd fish flingers competition. i was slow on the picture so everyone else had left already My getting 80 Fishing and my first non combat 80. going to get 99. Hedgehog one is the weird looking dude gratzing me
  21. Page 9 of the thread. Would this not include mousekey movement? Perfectly repeated at the click of a button. Hmm? That would not inclue mousekey movement since he says "Pre-defining any movement to be perfectly repeated over and over at the click of a single button is fairly obviously not OK." Mouse keys do no do more then one action per button press/click nor do they repeat anything with a single click one Thing I am wondering about is would making my own version of mouse keys(since i am on ubuntu and do not like the native mousekeys) using scripts be ok? To clarify before i get flamed I am talking about just setting numpad 5 to run a little script that would activate a normal click once. no repeating or anything. I would probably do the same thing with up,down, left, and right. It seems to me like it would match the windows version of mousekeys EXACTLY except having the keys run little scripts(which is what it does behind the scenes in windows) instead of being native to the os.
  22. I recently found this post in the Events section of the RSOF posted by Mod Lorenzo (Quick find code: 42-43-685-60637059) What do you think these hints are? It seems weird to me to put this post in the Events forum if its anything big though
  23. I highly doubt this is the new client. I also do not think jagex would go through the up-front and long term time/cost it would take to port runescape to c++ or whatever language they would decide. It would introduce so many bugs that could not be fixed in the ported version while still being consistent in the java version that it would turn into trying to manage 2 different games. It will likely be a java web start application which is basically a applet that you download to your hard drive, runs "stand alone" in its own window, launches from an icon on your desktop, and built in support for updating itself.
  24. You can add me ingame Nagrom_17 I'm always looking for more people playing classic to chat with. I think im gonna go to a few ge worlds and let people know classic is back. Anything to just let people know
