The Effect of the New Updates on the Runescape Economy
Yes, but what do people do when all of that raw material, all of a sudden is a finished product? I can see selling to people who do quests, alchemists (They are usually in it to raise their magic level or make money) but other then that? I can't see much money making any more, just leveling up skills. Unless I am missing something?

Wow, RuneScape players are sure gullible.
You know. No one would be surprised if Faux News actually said something like that. I think Jagex paid Miniclip to have the link to Runescape on their site. But that's just me.

13 December 2007 - "A Word About Our Updates" + Wallpaper
Wow, with all the big changes recently, finding out what will come out of those mysterious little coloured eggs feels like an anti-climax.. :| Too bad the concept art for this game looks better as concept art. :( I agree. Farming is a powerful skill if used right. Having crops growing all over the world of Runescape. You get to train two skills at once. Farming is really a fun and easy skill if you know how to use it right.

ARGH! Skilling ain't a bad thing you know...
Thats why the pkers are angry at skillers, half of the skillers who never pked are saying Meh i dont care i didnt pk anyway. I never EVER lvl farming, if it got taken away i would stand up for the skillers who enjoyed it. Skillers however seem to place themselves on a pedastal where pkers stakers and combat based characters are nothing to them. Who cares if we lost the most fun part of the game to us, yours remained unchanged. I dont know why the pkers are complaining, they now have a highscores table so people could see their achievements Because the PKers can't sneak up and ambush other PKers. Getting a big rush of adrenaline. :D

Lock, Please
I have to disagree with your last statement Sir\Ma'am. Other MMORPGs don't have to deal with this problem as much because, they aren't browser based. They don't have as big of a problem, because it is harder for "script kiddies" and "gold farming\item farming" companies to code auto bots for those games. And another thing, I don't think that the other MMORPGs are willing to slap their customers in the face because of some cheaters. But then again, I may be wrong. Looks at Vista and the killswitch. Who knows.

Lock, Please
Runescape is\was a fad. I think the kiddies are finding another fad, and the serious players are being driven away by the company. Sad to see such a unique game be changed like this. They make RWTers sound like terrorists or something.

ARGH! Skilling ain't a bad thing you know...
I don't think it will stop RWT, they could just start selling accounts. Maybe just be me though. All games have RWT problems, but I think this is the only game I have seen, to slap the players in the face to stop cheaters. Not to mention that Abyss crafting is going to be easy as pie.

Should Jagex Link to Fan Sites?
Thats sad. :(

Combat requirement for quests: good idea?
If you look in the KB, Manual, or even here, they always give the difficulty of the quest. So there isn't that much of a difference is there? I think the combat requirements are more for preventing a level 50 from doing Desert Treasure and getting insanely powerful. Screw the KB, I like going into a quest with my eyes blindfolded not knowing what to expect. Whahah. Besides, who said they had to tell us what the requirement is? "You are not powerful enough to begin my task, come back later young friend." Anyway, above post ^ nice.

What is wrong with Pures?
I don't have a problem with Pures, its like a combat class in any other game. How Jagex could fix the 'Pure Problem'? Make combat classes. Why people wouldn't like it? Because they wouldn't be free to train whatever [combat] skills they want too. Therefore, the 'Pure' combat class will stay. Why people hate 'Pures'? Because, they think its a low level person looking for a fight, so they attack that person. But the person is more powerful than meets the eye, and they are beaten. Is being a 'Pure' a cowardly tactic? Yes and no. Its like stealth, is being an invisible fighter cowardly? Generalization.
