  1. Yes, but what do people do when all of that raw material, all of a sudden is a finished product? I can see selling to people who do quests, alchemists (They are usually in it to raise their magic level or make money) but other then that? I can't see much money making any more, just leveling up skills. Unless I am missing something?
  2. You know. No one would be surprised if Faux News actually said something like that. I think Jagex paid Miniclip to have the link to Runescape on their site. But that's just me.
  3. Wow, with all the big changes recently, finding out what will come out of those mysterious little coloured eggs feels like an anti-climax.. :| Too bad the concept art for this game looks better as concept art. :( I agree. Farming is a powerful skill if used right. Having crops growing all over the world of Runescape. You get to train two skills at once. Farming is really a fun and easy skill if you know how to use it right.
  4. Thats why the pkers are angry at skillers, half of the skillers who never pked are saying Meh i dont care i didnt pk anyway. I never EVER lvl farming, if it got taken away i would stand up for the skillers who enjoyed it. Skillers however seem to place themselves on a pedastal where pkers stakers and combat based characters are nothing to them. Who cares if we lost the most fun part of the game to us, yours remained unchanged. I dont know why the pkers are complaining, they now have a highscores table so people could see their achievements Because the PKers can't sneak up and ambush other PKers. Getting a big rush of adrenaline. :D
  5. God, its just a game. :wall: Oh well. :P   :D
  6. I have to disagree with your last statement Sir\Ma'am. Other MMORPGs don't have to deal with this problem as much because, they aren't browser based. They don't have as big of a problem, because it is harder for "script kiddies" and "gold farming\item farming" companies to code auto bots for those games. And another thing, I don't think that the other MMORPGs are willing to slap their customers in the face because of some cheaters. But then again, I may be wrong. Looks at Vista and the killswitch. Who knows.
  7. Runescape is\was a fad. I think the kiddies are finding another fad, and the serious players are being driven away by the company. Sad to see such a unique game be changed like this. They make RWTers sound like terrorists or something.
  8. I don't think it will stop RWT, they could just start selling accounts. Maybe just be me though. All games have RWT problems, but I think this is the only game I have seen, to slap the players in the face to stop cheaters. Not to mention that Abyss crafting is going to be easy as pie.
  9. If you look in the KB, Manual, or even here, they always give the difficulty of the quest. So there isn't that much of a difference is there? I think the combat requirements are more for preventing a level 50 from doing Desert Treasure and getting insanely powerful. Screw the KB, I like going into a quest with my eyes blindfolded not knowing what to expect. Whahah. Besides, who said they had to tell us what the requirement is? "You are not powerful enough to begin my task, come back later young friend." Anyway, above post ^ nice.
  10. Yes, as cruel as that is. Its my only tab on cruelty.
  11. I will laugh if they don't add more servers.
  12. I don't have a problem with Pures, its like a combat class in any other game. How Jagex could fix the 'Pure Problem'? Make combat classes. Why people wouldn't like it? Because they wouldn't be free to train whatever [combat] skills they want too. Therefore, the 'Pure' combat class will stay. Why people hate 'Pures'? Because, they think its a low level person looking for a fight, so they attack that person. But the person is more powerful than meets the eye, and they are beaten. Is being a 'Pure' a cowardly tactic? Yes and no. Its like stealth, is being an invisible fighter cowardly? Generalization.
  13. Lol, they did it because they were supposed too. Lmao! They didn't put the scroll option in the RS Client. Hah! This is why I don't like weekly updates.
  14. Pretty much "OMG No updates?!?!?" "OMG Too much updates?!?" People never stop whining. Yeah, I can't imagine how many withdrawals they would have if Jagex updated every six months, which I wish they did, that way. MORE quality content, not stuff thats put together and worked on for a week. If you know what I mean.
  15. I doubt tip.it or RHQ would insult Jagex like that, but I could be wrong. Their RS accounts? Isn't there a red sentence that says not to use your RS password? If people do, lol.. :boohoo: Probably. Dirty lawyers.. Good points by the way. Sad that Jagex won't at least post links to sites they have checked out and such.
  16. They should only put major fan sites that have a lot of hits. Not little fan sites that have about 5 hits per day. I think its a good idea, but Jagex won't do it. Its like the Swift Switch issue, they don't want others doing what they could get done. But they can't. Lol. They think they can though..
  17. Quests with combat requirements. Doesn't that just make the quest easier? If you know the minimum level to start the quest, doesn't that tell you how hard that quest is? I like the quests that, you go in not knowing. Then, if you are unprepared. You die. In my opinion, it makes quests easier.
  18. Runescape doesn't apply to this bill. So, nothing to worry about. People with bad Person to Person skills. :XD:
  19. Ok, I did some research on 'Second Life' US $ Exchanged on Lindex (in Millions) Second Life Stats People basically pay to play, and get payed to play. I am beginning to understand the IRS and their thing now, I'll look over some of the other games that are listed. http://randolfe.typepad.com/randolfe/2007/02/intersecting_tr.html
  20. Replace the word Assets with game currency. Hypothetically, the GP you earn in RS would be taxed by the IRS. But, since RS is UK based. RS gets out of it. Unless the IRS starts banging on Andrew and Paul's front doors and threatening them. We should be ok. :uhh: I wish I was. I believe so. How they will make it work, who knows. Dunno, glad they have proxies. \ I hope not. I'm not sure though.. I assume it is talking about the amounts of Currency accumulated in-game. Because, players do not amount real money from any game, if they were talking about membership prices, already have those. If its talking about a sales tax on you buying items from games that sell items for real money, I don't know. I'll look into that. Sure, http://news.com.com/IRS+taxation+of+online+game+virtual+assets+inevitable/2100-1043_3-6140298.html The article is almost a year old, congress has more 'pressing' things to worry about I assume. America already is, that place. Lol, sadly. :wall:
  21. Could this happen? With Congress the way they are today. Probably. The IRS is, a monster at best. But thats probably an understatement. Lol, had to post this one comment. LIAR! LIAR! LIAR! You blatant liar, you boar. Oh, do you like my hat? Its made of tin foil.
