Rule 2 Change: Should Luring be alloud?
So the Terms and Conditions end in the wilderness? Because, with that mentality, Rule 2 ends in the wilderness. Therefore making the rest of the T&C invalid in the wilderness. Meaning people could bot, item scam, pass scam, and everything else. They have every right too. They were lied to, taken advantage of, and robbed. Why is it that you aren't also saying password scammers shouldn't be punished? The victum isn't forced against their will. They have no room to complain do they? Same with people who get item scammed. They aren't forced against their will. Hmm? They have as much warning as the luerees do. Don't they? I'm leaving after your responce. We've opened this can of worms so many times its just ridiculous. If you want to go against JaGeX' decision, then go ahead. Fine by me. JaGeX has already said that they will not change thier stance no matter what. So, why are we arguing? I don't know. Why are we?

Rule 2 Change: Should Luring be alloud?
No, I didn't forget the disclaimer. They're called "God Letters", not "Jagex Staff Letters". Jagex roleplays in order to keep a certain-- How shall we say?-- Air to the letters. The God Letters (Actually, almost all letters in general) have been fairly consistent with Jagex's in-game views and policies (If you don't believe me then simply cross reference the letters against in-game updates). I'm sure you'll be fairly surprised. ...Of course, if you take the disclaimer as being absolutely true, then Jagex would love scammers as Zammy hates them (And, you know, Zammy's views don't reflect that of Jagex, so the opposite of Zammy's beliefs would have to be Jagex's and vice versa). Yeah... I'm aware of the bug. As I've always said, Jagex should simply fix that bug and then make luring legal against as, if you get lured after that, then you'll have no one to blame but yourself. Pee! Emm! Gee! Say it isn't so? You mean I dedicated all this time to worshiping a fake god? ... ... ... Yes, I know that Zammy isn't real. It does? That's new to me. You seem to be reffering to them as JaGeX staff letters. As if they are cold hard facts to be followed. Just because letters meant strictly for entertainment have things to do with scamming, doesn't mean they should be taken seriously. So? That is purely coincidence. Huh? Where does it say that everything the Gods believe JaGeX believes the opposite? As if they are cold hard facts to be followed. Just because letters meant strictly for entertainment have things to do with scamming, doesn't mean they should be taken seriously. Give me a URL link that says exactly that. That is not shown in the God letters, and maybe I'll believe you. Then why are you taking the letters so seriously? The first sentence was unneccisary Not even worth wasting my time on. You are arguing simply on assumption. Give me some facts and I might consider continuing this idiotic argument.

Rule 2 Change: Should Luring be alloud?
*Taken from God Letters #15* ~~~ So what three things have we learned? 1.) It's ok to deceive people for personal gain so long as you're in the wilderness. 2.) Zammy supports luring people into the wilderness. 3.) Zammy considers luring to be different than scamming. You failed to read "DISCLAIMER: The views of Saradomin do not reflect the views of Jagex Ltd or it's employees. We tried to stop him saying anything controversial, but he is a god. If you would like to contact him however..." "DISCLAIMER: The views of Zamorak do not reflect the views of Jagex Ltd or it's employees. We'd ban him, but he's a god. But if you would like to communicate with the dastardly one" "DISCLAIMER: The views of Guthix do not reflect the views of Jagex Ltd or it's employees. We tried to prevent him giving away our secrets, but he is a god. If you would like to contact him however..." 1.) It's ok to deceive people for personal gain so long as you're in the wilderness. What if they abuse that little teleport bug? Player A says follow me. Player B follows. Player A takes him past Edgeville bridge, then south a few steps. Then Player A teleports. Player B is then dragged into the wilderness against his will. You do know that Zammorak is a made up EVIL character right? Yeah..Pretty much kills your argument right there.

Is luring an acceptable practice?
Just to clear up any further arguments. A post by Andrew Himself. So if you still think Luring should be legal after this, just leave. Mmk? They don't care if you do.

I'm sorry Qeltar, but after going through the entire topic, he never said anything like that. I hope this brings this argument closer to its end. I'm getting tired of this petty argument. Alot of people didn't like certain aspects of the article, and I respect their opinions. But alot of people did flame Qeltar. Some things may be wrong in someones eyes, but that it in their point of view. We all have rights to our own opinions, and trying to change someone elses opinion on a message board is impossible. This entire discussion was a waste of time. Nothing more.

I'm sorry, but this is just HILARIOUS! All three of you are arguing about your previous posts! You aren't even on the topic anymore! This isn't a debate anymore, this is just a war. Nothing more, in the past few posts, all I have seen is. "You've insulted me." "No I didn't." I was right, you were wrong. Thats it, the end. Then you continue! This isn't even on the subject anymore, ridiculous.

Agreed.

Once people are educated about luring, then they can report the talkers, and I would think that it would be kind of like reporting for offensive language.

29 March 2007 - Rule 2 update
Lmao to all the people ranting about the rule change. Now JaGeX can see how many honest players they have,
-
29 March 2007 - Rule 2 update
There are still bugs to be worked out..but the important thing is that JaGeX is taking a stand for what is right. Players are going out of their way to say the rule change was bad because of blah blah blah. Guess they are showing their true colors aren't they? Its whats right, not what makes sence. If everyone who is still a member, could go onto the official forums and support this, I think it will further sustain JaGeX that they made the right decision.

There are alot of rants about this. With luring now punishable, and people ADMITTING IT ON THE RUNESCAPE FORUMS WITH JMODS WATCHING AND POSTING! LMAO!!!! Yeah. Pretty hilarious if you ask me. In my opinion, this is the BEST UPDATEthey have ever done in the past few months. Kudos to them. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Might as well just leave this place. I don't think you should've unmasked yourself. I don't enjoy people insulting me for what I think is right, then they go back and say. Ahh, I didn't insult you. Finding some way to justify in their minds..never mind. Qeltar, good luck with that..see you later..

Runescape Exposed - Article
"Bad" players mods are rather rare. I have to agree a lot of them like bragging. But we have to give Jagex the credit for trying. If player mods do their job right or not, no one can do anything about it. And Jagex does enforce to report player moderators who are abusing of their powers, and things of the sort. Then why the hell was I banned for 6 months 2 years ago for reporting a player moderator whom threatened me? Huh? I've always had something against JaGeX for that. I lost over 50 friends because of that! JaGeX enforces punishing player moderators for abusing their powers, thats a bunch of BS. You have no idea how I have been with JaGeX, the only reason I continued to play was because some of my friends were still there. READ THIS! This is a ridiculous argument. What I see are two people wasting their time trying to prove the other wrong. So..what is there to gain from this? Uh nothing. All it gives you is "I was right, he was wrong." The end. I can see alot of time has been put into this little agrument. Nothing against you here, but this is just getting utterly ridicuous. So, maybe the article had some bad points to it. But you can't expect that a writer is going to do a universal opinion do you? Thats what wikipedia is for. This just burns me up to see all these people wasting their time just to prove a small insignificant point. What does this arguing do for us in the long run? Absolutely nothing. It might give us some debate experiance, but other then that. JaGeX may be watching this, will they do anything to follow our wishes? Probably not. This debate probably should've been over several pages ago. So much time could have been saved had alot of people just said "I didn't agree with alot of points on the article." Instead of trying to prove it wrong. What good does it do anyone to prove it wrong? It does no one any good what so ever! It just wastes time! Quote me if you want to, I'll just be laughing because of all the time you are wasting. No offense to anyone here, but this argument is childish.

Considering the last player moderator I saw was yelling at a newbie for asking help with a quest. Yeah, the community is bad because alot of player moderators don't show any respect to anyone. No offense to the good moderators, but this is what I see with other player moderators. [/b]

Qeltar, I'll admit I didn't agree with everything in the article. But the bases it covered were well thought out and written well. My guess is that some of the people bashing you for not having any Runescape experiance what so ever have not read the previous posts. In my forum experiance, it has always been the wisest decision to read everything in a given topic before posting. If it is 30+ pages, you just get a general idea of what is going on. Now, alot of people whom are going to disagree, I encourage you to read all the previous posts so you do not have to waste any further time. Almost every point of the article has been discussed in the previous post. So please, read every post so you do not have to post! Thank you for reading.

Runescape Exposed - Article
Ok, this article has its pros and cons. But lets face some of these facts. Alot of this stuff is true. Alot of you may not be willing to admit it, but it is! I didn't agree with alot of things in his article, so? You don't see me putting him down for saying that do you? All I see here are people trying to prove him wrong on certain points. It doesn't matter! What was written was written. The last few pages have been discussing these points, you haven't gotten anywhere but to say "He was wrong with these things." People who right articles will most likely all the time be that way. You've said what you need to say, I think it should be over with. It is not a forum post, it is a published article. I have my doubts that any of this has been productive in anyway! All I have seen is he is wrong about this and this, let me show you why. That is all I have seen! I disagree with certain points also. But I still enjoyed the article none the less.

[quote name="Runescape Terms and Conditions - http://www.runescape.com/terms/terms.ws"]A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT PRETEENS AND USERS UNDER 18 If you are under 13 years old, you must not create an account. We don't knowingly permit anyone under 13 to use this website. Nor do we knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from preteens. Internet safety experts have advised that preteens do not fully appreciate the risk of providing too much personal information online or communicating with strangers they encounter online. And the game difficulty level is for teenagers and older. While we appreciate that many preteens would want to use our websites, we urge parents to instruct their children not to lie about their age so as to be able to use our websites before they are old enough. Instead, we recommend that parents set up an account and play together with their preteens who are otherwise too young to play the Game. Many parents have reported that playing the Game as a family is fun and rewarding. Then when your children are 13 they will be ready for their own account. If you haven't read the terms and conditions... you shouldn't be playing this game. While we appreciate that many preteens would want to use our websites, we urge parents to instruct their children not to lie about their age so as to be able to use our websites before they are old enough. Instead, we recommend that parents set up an account and play together with their preteens who are otherwise too young to play the Game. Well dee dee dee dee. Guess you should try reading it too before you go saying that kids under the age of 13 shouldn't be playing. JaGeX needs to do alot of things to protect their players, and give people the entire information about what is actualy going on in the game.

Why is "safing" bad?
Its the kids nowadays that cause all the whining. "Thats not fair, you killed me noob!" Then they come out and start whining some more because they can't get over their spoiled little egos. There is nothing wrong with Pjing, or Tag Teaming. Safing? Well what the hell, if we have the ability to keep oursleves alive, then we damn well have the right to. Even if some kid player says, "Thats not fair! You ate food! Because I am a One Itemer!" Yeah, anyway. I hope my point was made.

Selling online items and eBay
Some new MMORPGs, not only having a Subscription system, but also have an Item Shop where players can buy items for RL currency. I don't know how those games have been doing, because I only play one that has that kind of system. I do know that it makes the company alot of money..
