  1. Staking is no different than gambling. It's basically gambling real money for the traders out there. And as far as getting stats... what time? The 30 seconds it probably takes a bot user to load up their client and click run? If you're "bot farming" there is what we could call an initial investment. That is, the time required to set everything up plus the money required to buy more computer hardware and/or rent virtual space to run bots on. Once you're up on running the goal is have it all pay back the initial investment for you, and then anything after that is pure profit. I have no idea how easy or difficult this is to do, but I'd wager this is pretty easy compared to what it used to be considering Jagex just doesn't seem to care anymore. I was referring to stakers who were RWT with their profits, not botters. Although I'm sure a ton of the really rich stakers probably botted their stats too. Not really relevant, but I also never understood how you could earn a profit staking, 2 maxed players doing any form of staking, especially boxing should result in no profit statistically. I'd only ever imagine some sick pure ever consistently profiting off of staking.
  2. Yes, I know a guy who runs 200 accounts on virtual systems, solely for the purpose of gold. Why do you think their are rwting sites? Would there not be if it wasn't a viable option for making money? And all you really have to do is activate a bot, and let it run on it's on, barely any interaction is involved. Because people who don't bot are generally people who don't feel pressured to grind to 99, and thus don't feel the need to bot. The person that bots to 99 agililty obviously wants 99 agility more than the person who just doesn't train agility because he CBA to do it and doesn't play for 99s, because for some reason the botter feels the need to have 99 agility on the account. If the person doesn't care about playing the game, why would he even be botting it? Only explanation is that there is some external reason for having 99 agility, or the person has some insatiable addiction to RS that he can't be comfortable unless he is constantly gaining those crucial expees. Just because they bot for levels doesn't mean they don't enjoy the game. They don't like the part of the game that they bot =0 Which happens to be 99% of the game. Also, someone who didn't bot and just didn't try and achieve 99 agility would care less about the game, both for the grind and about the part that the botter thought was fun, so again it is asinine to say that people that play the game care too much compared to people that bot. Someone bot 24/7s and pays money for a party hat, because they don't like grinding and feel some sort of need to get high stats. I'm someone that doesn't care about getting a party hat, wasting time grinding, and spends the majority of my time pking with occasional farm runs for about 1-2 hours a day, because i find it fun. Who do you think cares more?

  4. ...So don't play runescape....? People who cheat on a game and try to run businesses off of them obviously care a lot more about RS than casual players like me. I wouldn't take the risk of downloading potential trojans or go through the effort of purchasing a bot or RWT just to enlarge my e-peen on an online video game, but a lot of people on TIF obviously would. If grinding sucks...just don't do it? Also, I'm pretty sure i could make 25 grand on minimum wage with the time it took people to get lvl 138 and win 6B staking, or do something even more productive. So the whole idea of RWT seems incredibly unprofitable and useless, unless you're in the RWT business with like a billion bots doing work for you. But I seriously doubt any RWT company owner makes more money than any middle class american or person that just graduated from a decent college, considering the selling of virtual goods is a completely unstable and shady industry. Well that makes you either an idiot, or completely ignorant of how profitable running bots or getting lucky staking + selling is. Likely both. lololol have fun botting/grinding w/e on runescape to pay off college while i go to college on schoarships/grants kthx. Ah see no, I spent many years on RS getting these levels while going to school and working. I made the equivalent of about $5,000 in 4 days on this game, not in 10 years. That's where you have it wrong. But there's no reasoning with a self-proclaimed troll, and speaking of rule enforcement, I thought one of the rules was no trolls/trolling. Chop chop, Danq? Or are you too busy man-handling other posts elsewhere? I'm pretty sure the time spent getting the money to go staking/getting stats probably has to be taken into account if you want to equate the amount of money you earn on runescape vs life. I acquired that money and stats whilst playing normally. But if you really need a breakdown. you can buy one melee bot for probably 20 bucks, and use that to get 5 accounts to maxed melee in a few weeks, can sell those accounts on various other websites for real cash, use some of that cash to buy gold for a single account and go staking with it, all essentially while you're away from your computer. From there you can melee box and get lucky, or use the gold to get your Magic to 99 with another bot (already paid for due to aforementioned) and mage box. Or you can be like a friend of my friend's who makes 200m a day by having multiple accounts farming Black Demons for ashes and various other drops, while he's asleep / at school. So if you want to tell me you can make 150 dollars while you're in school, then kudos, but most can't. If you take the risks involved, botting and RWTing can be more profitable then a lot of jobs requiring degrees. And especially since Jagex seems to be turning a blind eye to most of it (As I peer over my friends list filled with unbanned people who have all made hundreds - thousands RWTing), it becomes more and more of an option to consider daily. And you say people who are against botting care too much about runescape. LOL. inb4someonescams his precious rsgpees/gets hacked by botting company.

Hey, when you don't get into college for being too stupid, i'll need my car washing. Cheers It's the time of year in the US where you've already gotten award notices/accepted into college, but I'll keep that in mind.

If grinding sucks...just don't do it? I think he was making the point that if a quick buck is on the table, and you haven't got millions stashed away whilst employing someone to keep it tax-free at a dodgy bank in Estonia, you take it. Morals (wrong word) Ethics frankly go out of the window for most people unless there's a possibility of criminal liability. There are people who don't earn $25K a year, you'd be crazy to turn it down. You can't make 25k a year, and you spent all your time getting maxed/rwting/paying for bots to waste vast amounts of time on runescape? as well as paying membership fees? All to try and make profit on a horribly unstable industry where scammers on both the consumer and the seller are pervasive? Good use of a life. And the people who aren't affiliated with RWT who bot to get 99 agility just so they can feel good on a video game obviously take the game way more seriously than someone who would just not train agility because it's a boring ass skill, and they don't care enough about the game to take it to that extreme.

  10. lol Give me one example of a player who is excluded from dungeoneering? Anybody that's low CB? Wut. I've seen multiple level 3 skillers who have 99+ dungeoneering. It doesn't matter who you are, you can dungeoneer. AFK leeching in f2p dung =/= doing a skill.
  11. lol Give me one example of a player who is excluded from dungeoneering? Anybody that's low CB?
  12. in b4 dung rage fest.
  13. The CW games is just one of the requirements. You don't get all 99s and 120 DG, 4000 chompy kills, champ scrolls and the other crap playing 1 hour a day. The time investment is massive, people with lives outside RS simply cannot afford the time to do that. Obviously I have no life because I have 88% of the stuff needed for the trimmed completionist cape. Yet I go to school as anyone else would and go out like anyone else would. Your example is the same as saying all emo's cut themselves when that obviously isnt the case. No one knows anything about your life, how long you play, whether you botted or whatever, so i don't see how that was relevant.
  14. Not everyone lives in a country with a GameStop, Walmart, Target or even Walgreen. Those living in 3rd world countries need not apply. yeah [bleep] p00r pple dey don't deserve to be play a game liek runescape
  15. Honestly I truly do not get comments such as the above. Why in the world would you possibly care how some player in the game spends his time. He may even have a more fulfilled and accomplished life than you do. I don't think its unjustified to say that he still spent an absurd amount of time on a game like Runescape lol. Even in 10 years that still seems ridiculous.
  16. Finish every thing the game has to offer only to obtain a cape that you only want because of it's stats, and you did not care about any of the things you had to do to get it (120 dung, champion scroll, 99 in non skilling skills etc). Yeah...exlusive is "fun". It's a way for people to become a bigger of a no life so they can go around in the game thinking they are special, when in reality they have wasted tons of time on a game where their achievement has no value what so ever in real life, and they...ABSOULTELY SUCK. That actually has to be true. Even if you were 100% efficient since you were a lvl 3 getting the trimmed completionist cape means you either no lifed like 10 years of your life away or you botted. No life is subjective, but there's definably some sort of reasonable threshold lol.
  17. There was a dung xp glitch that allowed massive xp gains (think a form of it still exists, not sure).
  18. Well it just happens that in the process of killing that man, many innocent civilians died at the hands of the america army, so you can't really say you are all that better than the terrorists. What is there to rejoice over in that? Also, I don't really know what you mean by PC. I like them over macs, but I'm not one myself, you see? Wait, so they START a war, we retaliate and we're the bad guys? I think you need to think about the chain of events here. 1.) We get attacked by Osama and his [bleep]s. 2.) We retaliate by going into Iraq and Afghanistan 3.) We kill Osama Yeah, civilians died. It's not good - nor do American soldiers condone/encourage it. Whereas, Osama ATTACKED civilians. War is an ugly job that needs to be done from time to time. Just remember, Americans were attacked FIRST. I think you forgot the part that involved US imperialism and horrible foreign policy, but I'm sure Osama just decided to attack the US for teh lulz too. I didn't know history started in 2001 either.
  19. ... How am I backpedalling? I'm not entirely sure that you know what it means, to be honest. And I don't understand whatever point you're trying to make. Both sides have killed soldiers AND civilians, and I was saying that I felt a little disgusted that Americans were celebrating bin Laden's death, even though they had previously decried the Middle Easterners who had celebrated the death of Westerners. 9/11 caused 3000 CIVILIAN casualty. Hence celebrating 9/11 is celebrating the death of CIVILIANS. Celebrating the death of OSAMA is celebrating the death of a TERRORIST/FREEDOM FIGHTER. i tried to bold and cap for emphasis just to help you understand So African Americans should have celebrated the death of Jame Earl Ray and went cheering "[bleep] yea got that bastard back" amirite?
  20. It may have something to do with a view of US imperialism/horrible foreign policy in the middle east, killing more than thousands, which made the US perceived as the ultimate evil to them. but they obviously just liekd bombing [cabbage] for fun ofc.
  21. ROFL at 8.5% - 9.2% unemployment since January of 2009, a real inflation rate of about 10%, the dollar losing 24% of its value to the looney and 15% of its value to the euro since 2009, 2.3% of all US homes receiving foreclosure notices in 2010, $4.00+ gas before summer, and a predicted $5-6 / gallon gasoline, a $14.3 trillion dollar debt with a projected $1.5 trillion dollar deficit this year, Troops still in Afghanistan, Iraq, and now fighting a non-war in Libya. But don't worry, he killed Osama Bin Laden. Your boy Obama is winning achievements with tiger blood. :twss:  Because the economy crashed cuz of obama rite.
  22. The world would be better off without him, but seeing ppl cheer like maniacs because he's dead is still very disturbing. People may or may not deserve to die, not something anybody should judge, but i don't think it's ever appropriate to celebrate any form of death. The same reason you don't celebrate the execution of criminals in any country is the same reason you wouldn't celebrate something like this.
  23. Slayer is probably the best way to get charms and your CB lvl and bank. Bursting lobs is a great option, but requires a decent amount of cash for it (you could try once u get ahrims, sol, 10m+ to spend on bursts). Get your melee stats up to around 80+ everything and then use an SS at waterfiends for a cheap/decently fast method of getting crims.
  24. Whatcha mean? Threads aren't decent if the conclusion isn't "dung until u get a rapier", "do farming", "do frosts/tds", "just don't do X", or "cls sucks".
