  1. 6 hours of combat, same way as barrows, recharge isn't to much either mind you. Oh and it when you barrage don't take a seers, its un-needed and a big risk. Ask anyone whose died there as their net kicked out mid lure (like me....) and wished they had a rol on. would be even worse to lose a set of battle robes, at least ahrim could be replaced easily. Edit @ above. damn...
  2. Ok so barrageing would be better than the spear at fiends im currently doing for a free 100 per hour? Does anyone have a rough figure for crims per hour barraging? Worth bringing extreme magic's? Thanks haddn't even though to use the d+d. Ty for the tip!
  3. At the min im currently 89 summoning and going for 96 by the end of may. Im 99 att and strength, 97 mage, 89 herby a bank which includes battle robes, full void all sets, an sol, and a zam spear. with enough cash on the side. Which would be the better method of charm collection, barrageing rock lobsters? or ancient cavern fiends? Im currently killing fiends, full void, piety, extremes and a pony and manageing 100 ish crims per hour, is this normal? Or should I look to change my gear? Just wondering what the best way of procureing the final 12k crims would be... Thanks for any help people can offer!
  4. Thanks for the tips. I've slightly revised my inventory, using 2 sips of prayer potion instead and the +10% strength prayer. I can probably do fewer glories and more bananas... I'll do that next time I bank. If you don't want to bother getting past the gorillas, you can always go to the eel-cooking area used for RFD. That resets aggro on both sides. But that costs you the prayer recharge... One thing your missing lalala7324 is a special weapon, even a dds is worth taking. And one thing I did when I trained here was ditch a prayer potion for a super restore (for familiar renewing). Pricey but not to bad.
  5. Thanks for the vid, alhough that and the others i think means that long>rapier in my mind, dos might be good but when people.npcs have defence...
  6. It might be the wisest decision... I'm bored after 150 tokens or so.... I got my hood and top over ge (max offers when the ge updated) and bought the skirt for tokens. Whole process did take a few weeks tho, a friend got his set in about a week tho, all 3 bits. So they are buyable, just hard. And *WELL* worth getting if you can get a set, cuts the cost of barrageing in more than half with an sol, and when you see just how well it works you wont go back. Also re-charging isnt to hard, If your a fairly high level f2p fog is a joke anyways and you can easily win and recharge in 90 - 120 mins.
  7. Fill pouches *FILL lurker ir titan pouch with ess depending on rc level* run to altar tele to bank This, you should make 2,500 ess ish per hour (5k astrals), if you focus and therefore xp is 2.5k time the astral base xp. Use an ess pouch as you generally dont need the run energy, it pretty much recharges over time. Sorry the numbers are a bit vague went from 822 - 84 there but that was a few months ago
  8. Steady income in rs is either farming or mtk, thats pretty much it for least effort/cost. For other things you obviously have cash USE IT either invest in your character in the form of levels (herby/prayer/summoning, speed leveling) or gear (fury/fremmy rings/barrows gear/claws or something) or you invest it in the form of merchanting to make more. Don't see why your opposed to spending it...
  9. Link to the zybez thread? dont use rsc much and cant fine it...
  10. Based on your stats in your sig, right of the bat id suggest - 70 prayer. Then Soulwars cape, fury, v skirt, prossy top and a shed load of prayer pots. Then piety most tasks. Also possibly a set of claws for a special weapon if you can afford them. For the love of god DO NOT waste 50m of bandos.
  11. Hello barrageing rock lobsters. But there are so many better spells to use for slayer than fire bolt.... Also battle robes only last 6 hours of cmb before the recharge, so use them on something worthwile not 80gp chaos runes....
  12. I have no earthly idea why people buy these. Looks like a phat and they are about 200m short of the entry level one?
  13. Been farming Wergali herbs for a while now and just selling them every couple of days over the ge (either clean or grimy), but has the value of them now crashed to only be sellable in unf form? as this offer has been in as a trial over night: Any clue if they will rebound?
  14. Yeah those low levels that thanks 2 dung want to get one of the best (depending on specs) weapns and one of the top 3 sheilds; oh now 2m xp less items. The poor cows in lumby don't stand a chance with this low level only update.
  15. Well it is our language after all, guess we can say it the way it was ment?
  16. Is this claim legit? and I've never heard of bluerose13x, who were they? ^^ What other person on here can make that claim and have it actually be legitimate haha. On topic, I vote that there is someone who is unintentionally the most famous. Someone who did something on rs that probably 80% of players have benefitted from. That person would be Rab, what he did was create Romeo and Juliet. Shakespeare* Is this claim legit? and I've never heard of bluerose13x, who were they? If your 17th century english history is bad i hope you dont get this first... high rune smither rsc, the first to make r2h's.
  17. Got it a few days before dung came out hence its not on the frontpage of my a log. Yes that is a VLS in my invy as spec weapon, got it in pvp 6 month or so ago an occasionally use it as a spec weapon as it was basically free, also it great when combined with restore spec pots when someone tries to crash you.
  18. Summoning potion? why you have restores in there already... Oh yeah and gf.
  19. I actually bring Extreme Magic Potions to DKs now only to enforce this message further. Obviously I won't be using them for the whole trip, and using a Wolpertinger would cripple my staying power, not to mention, profit. But the best way to scare off crashers is to show them you have the advantage, and demonstrate it. It's a psychological matter more than anything. EDIT: Also, I know it's a bit eclectic, but the Black Salamander is far superior if you're goal is profit maximization, which is the only advantage the SoL really confers over the Void Mace. With a decent pray level, the prayer costs are negligible. It still kills fast enough that a coordinated two-man team can keep up with the spawns. Hmm nice tip on the extreme magic potion, suppose one or 2 (4) pots in the invy can naver hurt. Had not even considered it but next time I go I'll be sure to take one just incase. Edit to the edit above: do you actually recomend a duo trip where you mage on your own with just a black sally and melee prayer or somthing while your friend kills supp/prime? if so even with a friend that has the word crash me written over it, and if you don't get crashed must lead to very slow kills anyways..
  20. I'm guessing bedman meant chaos tunnel fiends, which are worth your time if you have an iron titan or above (hence 95+ summoning). Ah ok had not thought about them, but after the next 6 levels ill think about it. So I guess the general agreement is yak first then. Thanks, any advise on cost 89 - 96?
  21. Ah ok im 97 mage atm, and was obviously going to barrage (with battle robes + sol, already own them) if I were to go for the yak. Fiends with extremes very effective? although with needing some 12k crims thats a long time @ fiends...
  22. Well over the summer I managed to barrage up a pony then finnished ruining my bank on 89 herby. Since then I've recovered any sold items and find myself with a 54m cash pile spare. I don't have anything fancy like a gs or gwd armour instead finding barrows better value, and prefering to spend my cash oon useful skill. Anyways story over... Currently im @ 89 Summoning and 89 Herblore, with a cash pile of 54m and can turn a steady and unimpressive 5 - 10m profit a week farming. Just wondering which would be the best way to improve my character next. Obviously I would like to get both eventually. But which should I get next, barrage the yak, or get 92 - 93 for overloads? And if I did either does anyone know rough costs? Oh and dunno if it helps but I have a set of battle robes and a sol. (stats are in siggy, ish + 98 range/97 mage) p.s please do not suggest fiends, i loath that place and never want to go back unless its a slayer task....
  23. If your a member with half decent stats go to f2p fog. not hard at all, hell ive even done homework at the same time. oh and getting the robes isnt to hard either, ge offers usually result in the items after a few days... And if youve ever used it esp at rock lobs barraging with a sol the 50% saving is well worth it.
  24. And even more so with the chaotic staff. +1 Chaotic Staff is inferior to the Staff of Light, which, in turn, is outperformed by Void Mace, Master Wand, and Zuriel's Staff depending on the circumstances. Cut quote, sol + battle robes (+ when they finally sort out the rewards the book) is the best set up for rock lobs and sum training. You shouldn't dismiss it unless youve tried it with the robes. But yes the chaotic staff seams shocking vs the melee weps esp for the cost of 400k..
  25. The fury, best ammy in the game, a great balance of offence backed up by defence and a bit of extra prayer on the side, its chief rival the glory falling a long way behind... But now might 2.7m be to high? They used to be common for every high level to own yet now falling by the way side. Personally i sold mine at 10m with regards that it wasn't that much of a boost and sold it to gain xp. But for an ammy that was not to hard to obtain from the shops, aided by the intro of the gloves every 100/110+ used to own one, and after the intro to the pvp table the supply incresed. The shop ban did not take effect straight away, with a fair few kicking around, but now esp with merchanting clans, onyx (i) etc, and the ever decreasing supply the number are drying up, the price rises and many switch to alternatives. Going to keep this fairly short, but jagex said when they changed the shops they might be open to changing the fury price, with such a great supply at the start delaying the effect, should it be now they intervene while the price is to say the least high..? Yes it can be "earnt" in 40+ hours by a low level, good cash earner for mid levels, but its a big commitment and if people can display that they can probally train faster get to a higher level and unlock much better methods of earning gp.. For a higher level yes they can earn it much earlyer with pots/turmoil etc (30 hours ish), but yet there are much better options out there for people with this ability. And anyone that did would probally use the gem for "street price" and an uncut or onyx ring. Either way no new furys enter the game. It's not like this is a new item... And with the price nearly ten times the price during the pvp drop loot era, should now be the time jagex look seriously at the TzHaar and FIX it? [btw please do not fall back on the you can't afford it argument, belive me my bank can more than cover a few... this is about a flawed change and a botched fix now taking affect]
