I was hoping for a Chinese language version as appose to simple server location. I heard recently the government in China shut down WoW server access. I would definitively renew my membership if a Chinese version came out, yet I assume this will take years/never happen.

I did read earlier about an Asian expansion of the game, but any news of a Chinese release? Contrary to popular belief, not all players in China cheat/bot.

As some players have already posted, I am driven by just accumulating wealth. Playing off and on since 2001 my combat is only in the 90's yet I take more pride in my white phat and masks. The lame quests and terrible ge/pk changes have really turned me off and I finally canceled my membership after 2-3 years. Yet, I'll be back eventually...it always happens.

Blue phat=2 white phats. White phat is about 380m. So no. Pardon my noobness, but does that mean players are trading with over 150m in junk in a trade? Just never knew the extremes people go to get around trade restrictions.

I have been saving to buy a blue phat for some time now. I mainly go off of ge prices as I don't play anymore and just buy/sell rares when I can. I have a white phat, green mask, and 2x red masks. I figured I wouldn't have a problem getting a hat with white/masks going up faster than blue. Yet, just going through the forums I am confused with the whole junk trading culture. Haven't played much since GE came out, so can only tell me accurate prices? The RS forums seem to be full of price manipulators and some saying blue phat is worth 600-700m with junk? Do I have a shot at a blue phat? thanks

I started just a few days after you in late September 2001. I am under level 100 as well as I rarely play.

not for us runite miners, but has it just been high demand for rune armor? I always figured alch prices and smithers kept a balance.

Played off and on for a couple years and always made my money mining rune. For awhile the ore stabilized around 10-12.5k with high alch prices. Why has it gone up over 16k? thanks!

I have been playing off/on since 2001 and have seen many price trends around the holidays. A few years ago prices of santas and masks would shoot up before their respected holidays, only to crash the next day. Then players began to cash out a few weeks prior to the holiday. I would normally sell at the begging of the month and wait until prices bottomed out before going back in. However, since the advent of the GE and the decimation of value for discontinues, I was wondering how others felt about new trends. Prices in masks haven't changed much prior to Oct 31st, so maybe it will repeat the trend of several years and shoot up instead of crashing. Of course we have lost the large fluctuations of items due to the new system.

wow I just charged up my health to 16 and I finally made it 25 tries and I make it!

level 56 agility and I just fell 24 times in a row trying to clear the leaf trap in Isafdar! My first trip I fell and lost all my food, so my next trip I loaded up with cakes and just went through all my food. All this for a grand total of 24 tries!!! While I'm charging my health a guy with 53 agility makes it in his first! I hate this part of runescape!

Lost too many members to bad updates, so they want old players to come back and pay?

With manage kingdom one of the best resources to get were maple logs. Now that maple logs won't even sell for 44gp each and seeds took such a huge dive...is it even worth it? Flax has gone up to nearly 80gp each, so you can still double your investment. When GE came out I switched to coal from flax, but then switched back to flax when it became more profitable.

bit ago I bought 1m worth of flax for 51gp each and now it's over 60gp. right now I just bought 100k maple logs (can't go any lower!) anyone else have success with the price crash?

Most of my sales come from coal, flax, and maple logs coal price on GE: 150's flax: 50's maple logs: 50's For me, I figure it is just not worth to even be in the market and I count on all the big sellers pulling out in the next month so prices will return back. No way I'll be selling maple logs for under 60gp, which I paid for them. anyone else think the prices for these items or items you wish to sell will go back up, or do you bite the bullet and try to sell at the min. price?

The topic wasn't if and how you stop cheating, but how far Runescape gamers are willing to be pushed in order to reach this impossible task.

before you read this post keep in mind: I do not encourage others to break the rules set by Jagex and the example I give is a very common way of cheating, but only for the sake of topic. Again another topic about REAL WORLD TRADERS!!!! dun dun dummmmm I have never cheated in Runescape and I do not plan on in the future. My question to the forum go'ers is if all the recent updates are worth it to take down the cheaters in the game. If you say yes, then how far are you willing to go? I use to trade off from playing Runescape and Diablo II back in 2001/02, but I quit because the duping in Diablo became so bad that it wasn't worth playing. Though Runescape has had a major dupe problem in the past it hasn't been a big issue, if an issue at all today. I just feel that you can't stop RWT. The most simple way of getting around any security is to just let someone log onto a mule that you supply with name/password. Sure there are talks of Runescape losing the trade function, but they certainly will not lose the LOGIN FUNCTION. I know this is a controversial topic, but I just want simple responses in how far Runescape players are willing to go with this never ending war on cheaters. Do we need to add more security features, stop trading, increase membership costs, delete game functions, allow cheaters, or keep things the way they are? Whatever you decide

It seems this post is a little hit and miss with readers. I do appreciate those who can sit back and see the frustration of people, such as myself, in their investments both in runescape and the US economy. that was the whole idea of the post my red phat in runescape took a hit and I just converted 15% of my holdings into gold and silver to pad the drop in the US dollar. I'm sorry to those who think that as a born and raised (college educated) American from Michigan that I cannot speak English for doing a few "play on words"

trying to do a play off of swamp-tar= oil for those who keep track of oil prices and the falling US dollar. Then comparing the petro dollar, which OPEC uses only the US dollar in selling oil/petro and talks of switching to the euro, hence petro-euro. bascially comparing the rare market to the falling US economy.
