  1. Greenhouse? Ouch, I think minimum wage here is 5.75 (?) Even for 14-year olds? Here, it all depends on how old you are. Minimum wage goes up when you get older :)
  2. You've done everything except reading the stickies. Try that instead.
  3. They're just domain parkers, people buy the domains so they can put ads on them and make money off everyone who mistypes urls, like you.
  4. Instead, why don't you just make sure you don't have keyloggers in the first place?
  5. Ooookkkkk.....try to make posts on topic. Yes, greatsilverwyrm, the frog to cow was intentional. But that's the base of evoultion, from 1 to another. Dog to dolphin if you'd like... Also...creation does come back to christians, since they are the 1's who believe in it, so u might get religious posts. Since creation u'd need a higher power to make you, religion plays a part in it. it was in response to paul_wilsons' wish there were polls on tip.it, that is a poll on church goings, so pretty much 90% of people dont go to church for chrisian reasons I seriously don't believe 50% or more of a 'western' country have never been in a church. They probably have been there, even it was just as a tourist in some foreign place. That, and polls are meaningless. If you don't know why people think something, then you have nothing to talk about and no way of getting any the wiser. I'm pretty sure you all know this one: Err, right. Back on topic. I believe in something similar to what how2pk describes. I don't think all life was created on an earth as it is now by a God(-like being). Nor do I believe entirely in one big bang. The thing is, whatever theory you have about how the universe came to be, it will always be 'weird' in the eyes of men. Think about it. Suppose the universe was created entirely. What was it created out of? Where did that come from? You don't know, or you need a concept of a God to understand this. Either that, or you say it has always been there - which is also a weird concept to humans. We don't know of anything which is everlasting, so this concept is not much better. So if we don't like the universe once suddenly existing, while not having been there before, and we don't like the universe always having been there... then what do we like?
  6. No, they just put it there to make fun of you. (In case you didn't get the irony, you probably do have to fill in the form, yes)
  7. You're creating a new profile? Start Firefox with the -profilemanager flag to check.
  8. Could you post any system requirements? Right now I have no idea what to expect (can only judge based on screenshots), but I'm guessing that I won't be able to play this on my ancient Pentium 2, 350Mhz, with 256MB RAM (and a crappy graphics card to boot) ? (waits for laughter to stop) Since I haven't played it yet, I can't judge, but are the Khan / Lo houses like races in an MMORPG? (Elf, Human, Dwarf, whatever) If so, will there be more of them in the final version?
  9. ... Please. Shut up if you don't know what you're on about. grpconv is used for backwards compatibility on Windows 95/98 and ME. The KB executable is a patch for a vulnerability concerning icons and mouse cursors. The other files are windows help dlls and an activeX control. If you know what's good for you, leave them alone. (and next time, google stuff before throwing dice on what looks suspicious)
  10. I'd be guessing this is a PCI-E video card. Which you definitely can't just install on every pc. But as you pointed out, it's rather impossible to tell without better information...
  11. I hate how they always put that, because it really doesn't mean anything. They should't apoligize to you once they find out who you are. I mean, if some other person got rejected from the store, would they apoligize? Maybe, but would that really mean anything either? And it's not like they would give any publicity when doing it. It's just polite to apologize if people feel offended. They didn't intend to offend her, she was offended, they apologize. It's called being civilized.
  12. I've always thought 'Plug and Pray' was the correct term.
  13. So you created a new profile and now you blame Firefox for it? Good point, mate. Herr: sounds like a bug. I've looked all over the place for 'normal' explanations, but 'this is a bug' is what's left, I think. You may want to search https://bugzilla.mozilla.org for this. Product: Firefox, Component: Autocomplete would seem like the place where this should be hiding.
  14. (A) The fact that someone in France might have discriminated doesn't mean all the French discriminate. Start reading something else than the godforsaken pro-Bush newspapers who have nothing better to do than bash the French for not agreeing with Dubya. (B) The story isn't even true. She was not allowed in because the store was closed and a private event was going on inside. Surveillance camera tapes examined by outsiders have confirmed this account. So, in short, whomever started spreading this is simply trying to make a big misery out of a totally normal thing.
  15. Firefox, imho, is way easier to modify. Have a look through Tools > Options > Themes > Get more themes, in order to style it. To get rid of / add some buttons to your toolbar, right click it and hit 'Customize...' To get extensions (mini-additions, like an IRC-client, RSS-reader, AIM client, what-have-you), try Tools > Options > Extensions > Get more extensions Have fun :)
  16. Se7en All from the same movie.
  17. Pretty lame if the plugin tries to parse GMail html output - no wonder it breaks every now and then. Tell the plugin author to have it use the pop3 option GMail offers, so it doesn't break every time Google makes a change to its pages. Note that I don't use any GMail plugins.
  18. Hahahahahaha. That made me laugh. Anyone writing a (serious) MMORPG in Visual Basic should have their sanity questioned. If you want to write a client-based MMORPG (like WoW or whatever, RuneScape is the opposite, it is browser-based) you'd use a compilable language, not an interpreted one like Visual Basic (unless you're writing for multiple platforms and can't be ar...ed writing platform-independant C - and then you'd use Java, not VB, which doesn't run on anything but windows). So, you'd write the client in C(++) or Fortran or whatever. And as has been mentioned, usually people don't go about writing the entire graphics engine themselves. The clients usually use some form of TCP/IP to talk to a server, the server code is usually also compiled, in order to have it run fast.
  19. Use Photoshop, paint shop pro or GIMP? Maybe Irfanview can do it, I'm not sure. Moreover, I move that this be moved to either of the Media Boards.
  20. It is. Your eyes won't notice the difference, to them everything after 60-80 hertz is a fluid motion.
  21. You may want to put bubbly plastic around the antistatic bag, too. I don't know the proper name for it, but this is a game that's all about popping it :P http://www.miniclip.com/bubblepop.htm
  22. [*:38hvs4hr]Open Winzip. [*:38hvs4hr]Click the "New..." button. [*:38hvs4hr]Pick where you want to save the zip file, and a name for it, and hit OK. [*:38hvs4hr]You'll be presented with the "Add..." dialog, now look in the lower left corner of the dialog. There's a compression combo box there, select either maximum or high. Select all the files, click the 'Add' button. [*:38hvs4hr]Wait till it's finished, and click the Close button. And you're done. Though, as Mercifull pointed out, Photo's, Movies and sound files often do not compress very well.
  23. I've known of this site for way to long :? Weird that it's only now people find out about it. But yeah, it's both odd but also very moving at times. Random one:
  24. Last thing I heard, JageX' certificate had expired, so browsers didn't really like it anymore. Rather dumb, if you ask me (JageX letting it expire, that is). As for your problem, ^ what GSW said ^ :)
