I like my laptop, it's a beast. Brand wise it is a Gateway FX -- don't let the gateway name fool you though, I haven't met a game I can run yet on this thing (Crysis at medium/high's @30fps).

There is no way in hell we'd stretch a 500 foot cable or something across all of that. (And they rent the house so we aren't going to drill holes and [cabbage] through the wall). Well in cases like yours, and there isnt really a way around it, it shouldnt matter. But if your computer has ethernet plugs in it that might save you the $100 in the wireless adapter. thats how i did it until we moved the routers into my room. Bridging a connection through your PC means that your connectivity on live will be [cabbage], chances are you'll have a strict NAT not allowing you to even use the connection much. I did that at first and finally ended up just paying the $100 because of how terrible the connection was. (of course now I have my own apartment so there is no need for a wireless adapter anymore ;p)

There is no extra crit chance from behind unless it's something they added very recently. The rogue's backstab and ambush move as well are useless in actual PvP, people either use SS/Hemo/Mutilate all which have no positional requirements. In WoW the only positioning that matters is how close your [wagon] is to that pillar.

Was it 32 man? Because an organized kritz in a 32 man is just unfair. It was on the bar room so yeah it was a 32 man server. idk if it was full at the time or not though.

Actually had a pretty good round today. Roomate hopped on and started to medic me (running with Kritzreig). Ended the match with like 57 kills, 17 deaths, 74 points and 5 dominations. I do think I'm getting a lot better at soldier recently, paying more attention to where I'm shooting and I've gotten better at rocket jumping to get a height advantage. Forgot how much fun it is to have an actual dedicated medic on you, haha.

Don't take your gameboy to school. Sadly I didn't learn the lesson the first time when I lost / had stolen (was never returned) my GBA. Ended up losing my GB:SP later... Needless to say now I'm pretty paranoid on making sure I have everything on me and I haven't lost anything else to date. I always double and triple check stuff even if I know I have it. Still pretty pissed at how dishonest some people are though, I know that some kid just saw it and took it home. It's probably also why I'm not sure what I would do if I found something someone lost that was of value (monetary not emotional). I mean on one hand I know that it sucks to lose something, but on the other hand would they do the same for me?

Aren't all RPG's just you choosing abilities to kill other dudes? Aren't all RTS's just you building dudes to kill other dudes? Aren't all platformer's just you jumping on dudes (and things)? Face it, you can generalize any genre -- it doesn't make it true though. Trying to say an entire genre is overrated? Play some Half Life, System Shock 2, Deus Ex, Quake, Unreal Tournament, No one Lives forever, STALKER, Crysis, Left4Dead and Team Fortress 2. All vastly different games and different experiences in their own rights. The two closest games I listed to being the same are Quake and UT, but I think they have enough notable differences. You might not just like them which is fine. Certainly does not mean they are even close to being the same kind of experience.

Probably would want to do something else other than a deathmatch PUB. You guy's who are slamming Crysis for being generic, have you ever played the game? Compared to some shooters that have came out recently it actually has a good bit of innovation, especially your suit. Sorry, I just hate having to hear it alongside halo. Hell, the multiplayer was pretty fun and fast paced for a bit too, even though servers could only go up to 32 players on the PC. But yeah I'd like to know if you guy's played through the game, it gets in some pretty unique scenarios near the end especially. Gears of Wars I could probably say that it is overrated, but I don't think it's a terrible game. I actually enjoyed playing through Co-op with my brother, was good fun. It also was one of the first games (I know of) to use such an extensive cover system. Sure it wasn't the first game you had to take cover in, but the way they did it was certainly new. I do agree with this one though. Never got the fascination for a game series that was more of a movie than a video game.

Yeah like I said it was a tough choice. I love all 4 (well 5 because Nordland I/II) of those albums, and I could probably put all of them up there if I wanted to.

Could you really expect any less though? That place is just a loot pinata Blizzard decided to put into the game.

By the way, I should say that just because I say a game is overrated doesn't mean I think it is terrible. For the most part I just think the games I listed are mediocre and not worthy for as much praise as they get. WoW was somewhat of a difficult choice to put on it, considering it has done a lot with the industry. In the end though I just think too many people hold it up to way too high of a standard. I'm just not a big JRPG fan to be honest (A lot of them feel very generic.). I do think there are a lot better RPG's out there than the later Final Fantasy's though, even JRPG's.

Oh god yes. Man that movie was so [bleep]ed up for a childrens movie. The junkyard scene scared the hell out of me. Great movie though.

Pretty cool thing I found, an explanation on what certain movement does for you: Forward +10% Physical Damage +10% Magic Damage -20% Physical Defense -20% Magic Damage Backward +500% to Parry +500% to Block -70% Physical Damage -40% Movement Speed Left/Right Strafe +300% to Evasion -70% Physical Damage -20% Movement Speed So expect movement to be a big deal in this game.

Meh I may as well post. Halo series, any Final Fantasy after 6 (so 7 and on), Super Smash Brothers: Brawl, World of Warcraft. *shrug* I'm sure there's a few more but those stuck out in my mind as being grossly overrated.

HoMaM is a strategy game? I thought it was like the Elder Scrolls. Heroes is the strategy game. Might and Magic is the RPG games, which are not like Elder Scrolls but more traditional RPG's with a first person perspective. And yeah that screenshot is Heroes 3.

I like the perspective and all but it would be nice to see more polish on your stuff instead of mere sketches. Certainly room for a great piece, just needs to be finished.

Agreed. I'll be honest and say I'm not interested in some kids life, so it would suck having to see a bunch of blogs in OT, even if it was in a sub forum of OT. I would rather them be banned outright but you could always do a sub forum of that blogscape thing, like indy said. At least there it is out of sight. Really though, wordpress.com... probably a better idea.

Not to be rude but these threads are done a lot and the same choices always pop up. It's just going to end in a big raging debate about halo again.
