  1. It lets you reroll the reward once. They nerfed it on console but still worked last I checked on PC. Pretty much imagine getting a gunship with a 3 kill streak. I've had that happen plenty of times. Hell, once I got 2 attack dog kill streaks from a 3 and 4 kill streak reward. Seriously though I figured if I'm playing a game where there are killstreaks I'm going to be as cheap as possible. [bleep] if I cared, it was actually kind of fun trying to see what you would get. Let you mess around with a lot of random killstreaks. (plus at 20-30 FPS I needed every advantage I could get)
  2. SAM - Care - Sentry - Hardline pro you mad? You know I wish other developers wern't so afraid of CoD to try and rival it. Sure, there's been a couple attempts (BC2, MoH) but BC2 was geared towards a different playstyle and MoH just sucked. Like people say there are way too many FPS games out, I think there aren't enough quality ones out (for PC). It's pretty obvious that Activision doesn't care about the PC anymore so I'm not going to look forward to any other CoD games... but I do wish that something decent would pop up in their place. It is really sad if competitive fps on the PC is dominated by largely 10 year old + games. (Quake 3, CS 1.6). I just want a decent action-oriented fps that isn't something like quake or TF2.
  3. I don't really think I"m going to go for it, was just curious though. Might just go back to questing though. 15k per digsite atm (5k each gather) which is nice but... dunno.
  4. Seeing how much of 70-80 I can do on my DK through archeology. Northrend is just so boring. Also does anyone know if you can find, say, the 85 epic 2H even if you don't have the level requirement for it yet? (but have the archeology req?)
  5. http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/826086-My-character-is-hearing-C-Thun-voices hmm. Lot of people too saying they heard about people hearing voices and stuff. Apparently my roomate also heard something that told him "it was your fault". Kind of cool if they are gearing up for some sort of event.
  6. The point of it isn't to gain mana, it's to make them lose it. edit: patch notes up for 4.0.6. Glad I'm rolling a DK, locks are actually getting nerfed >.> Omg they nerfed my curse of exhaustion? Noooooo Lame. At least the pally nerfs didn't change much. CoEx nerf sucked but the UA nerf is just downright [developmentally delayed]ed. Like it already doesn't matter and they're nerfing the only part of it that did.
  7. The point of it isn't to gain mana, it's to make them lose it. edit: patch notes up for 4.0.6. Glad I'm rolling a DK, locks are actually getting nerfed >.>
  8. Mana drain is really the only viable thing we have in lock/healer setup.
  9. That is exactly what I am doing. It is hard enough to get a cast off in arena vs a healer pillar hugging. Also shaman have tremor totem which counters fear. I've tried the drain mana route too and it just doesn't help. I can get him low mana eventually and he will just mana tide or something. I have had a shaman at 2% mana still chain purging.
  10. No it doesn't. A shaman can sit there chain purging my dots and quite honestly will barely drop in mana.
  11. Man I hope they nerf purge/cleanse spam to the [bleep]ing ground. Nothing more fun than being able to literally do no damage in arena vs a shaman healer.
  12. I do hope they follow through with a cleanse/purge spam nerf, it's so [bleep]ing annoying as a warlock. And before someone says "UA" ; they don't care about that anymore. The damage it does (17k before any mitigation) is just not "scary" enough. Even the silence eventually will just get put on a DR. Like either nerf that or buff UA so people are actually afraid to cleanse it again. edit: HOLY [cabbage] I JUST GOT AN X5 MAKING DRACONIC MIND FLASKS. So a 15% * 15% * 15% * 15% chance. Also right as I put my 7 of them up on the AH for 245g each someone bought out 6 of them. Awesome.
  13. I would have kept playing Demon's souls if the PvP community was a bit larger in it. Was fun going into someones world and ganking them, only problem is not many people around to do that :P.
  14. Hopefully a PvE buff will stay a PvE buf for mages, frost mages don't need to be any stronger in PvP. Roomate (should) hit 85 tonight sometime which means we'll be able to start arenas... finally.
  15. It takes a bit to sell them though. Granted I don't think many were raiding on new years and such. If flask sales pick up I'll make more :P. Also a free 450-500g every day is pretty nice too. Transmute volatile life to volatile air in Uldum. I get so much life just from gathering and Volatile air sells for really good (30-35g each compared to like 5-10g each).
  16. Starting to make some bank with my alch/herb... finally. 4400g now in a few days of not doing much. Prot, definitely...holy, don't think so. Ret pallies got nerfed hardcore :( My roomate does more dps as a shockadin than as ret. (He tried ret when he hit 80, went back to shockadin because its more dps spamming exorcism).
  17. Nothing about demon soul's is ever "cheap". Everything is 100% fair. Also 1-1 was super easy :P.
  18. From what I understand you'll prob do more dps as holy or prot than ret >_>.
  19. Argaloth was real easy, I one shot him in a full pug run too. Also got my full PvP honor gear now, just shy of 3000 resil. (31% damage reduction)

    Get songbird :P.
  21. 525 herbalism / 516 alchemy. Leveled them from scratch yesterday and today. Only issue I've ran into is Alch I need a bunch of nightshade gem's and they're like 30g a pop. Going to have to make some more money first. (only got like 500g atm). Any other alchemists here? If so what do you guys think is the most profitable thing to be making? I'm going to Vashj'ir atm to get a bunch of Azshara Vail to make the 300 agility flasks... wasn't sure if there was something else that'd be a good idea though. Also almost have my full PvP set minus conquest stuff. 2900 Resiliance, 111.5k Hp unbuffed.
  22. Games that were released in 2010 preferably.
  23. So 2010's been a pretty awesome year and I was wondering what your guy's top 10 games of 2010 are. Feel free to just post your list here :P My list: #10 World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Yeah I didn't think I would be putting a WoW expansion on here. However Blizzard has come a long way since the original WoW in 2004 and for the better. They've got the concept of "questing" down to a science now and going back through 1-60 was actually an enjoyable experience. 80-85 also hosted some of the best quests and storylines WoW has had thus-far. #9 Super Street Fighter IV I really wish I was better at Street Fighter because SSF4 was a great addition to the series. #8 Firearms-Source Sadly this games population really hurt the overall game, just not many people are playing it. I still thought it was a well done version of the original Firearms and I hope their upcoming 2.0 patch will reinvigorate the game and its community. We've certainly waited long enough. #7 Sid Meier's Civilization V I never thought I would enjoy, let alone play, a Civ 5 game. While I only played it for a few weeks it still consisted of me playing nearly day long matches. A ridiculously addictive strategy game. #6 Minecraft I realize that it's not technically out yet. However minecraft is still an awesome example of what one man can do. I don't even necessarily play this much anymore but I have to give this guy credit. #5 God of War III Full disclosure: I never played through the first and second God of War games. Despite that I found it to have a surprisingly decent story with a cliffhanger at the end but also I found it to be one of the best looking games out this year. Brilliant. #4 Heroes of Newerth I've taken a bit of a break from HoN but I can still say that this is the game I played the most during 2010. S2 Games has done a great job of keeping the game updated on a regular basis. #3 Mass Effect 2 I will let you guys know, these next 3 are so close together that I honestly don't know how to order them. Mass Effect 2 was [bleep]ing brilliant. There, I said it. The first Mass Effect was a good game; albeit with issues. Mass Effect 2 improved upon those issues but also did something that most RPG buffs would scoff at -- they took the numbers out of the game. Mass Effect 2 was not a game about finding the best gear, finding the best and optimal way to use your character. There was very minimal stats and minimal choices as far as gear went. Even though that may sound bad Bioware have actually made a brilliant move: They put back the "role play" in RPG. Mass Effect 2 is all about the choices you make in the game and their lasting effects on the world. Knowing fully that the ending would have a lasting effect on your next game (Mass effect 3!) really does something special for a game that is a trilogy. Mass Effect really is our "star wars" trilogy for this generation; and its damn good. #2 Super Meat Boy It's no secret that I love Super Meat Boy. Hell, I've bought the game twice (bought it again on PC when it was on sale on steam). Super Meat Boy is a ridiculously hard platforming game. What sets it apart from other "hell platform" style games is that while it can be exremely difficult it never feels like it is punishing you. You don't have a set amount of lives, your character spawns right back at the start of the level when you die. You can get into this almost trance-like state just trying over, and over, and over to beat that one level or get that one bandage to unlock the games host of indie favorites. To make things even better they have been constantly updating the game for free, deliberately bypassing microsoft's standard "DLC options" just so they can give you the content. #1 Limbo I love indie games. I really do. The fact that they can take so many artistic risks with them means that you can often times get gems such as Limbo. Limbo is a game that shows the true artistic potential that video games can have. In a way Limbo can be thought of as Braid's darker, moodier cousin. The game has ridiculously brain-bending puzzle challenges but never feels too difficult or frustrating. Instead you get to go through this incredible Journey of a boy trying to find his sister. There is a lot to Limbo's story (way too much to talk about here) but the smybolisim in it is excellent. Even though Limbo is easily the shortest game on the list it is the one that will probably stick with me the most.
