Ok, looks like I'm safe. Just put it back up to 2.7ghz (1200FSB) which was what I had before, and it ran at a modest 48C on Full CPU load (with a stress test program so, honestly, it'll almost never reach that). It's at 37C right now idle, which.. is kind of funny. Just rebooted so probably why. :lol: Hell, I'd try and go 1250FSB or 1300FSB for a 2.8-2.9ghz, but I think the CPU doesn't like me going much higher than 1200 even though temperature wise it'd be fine.

I've actually used another program (Orthos or something like that) that stresses the CPU back when I first OC'd, did fine.

Game screenshots and covers are created by artists as well, most people forget this. I sigh at the thought of some teenager doing a chop-shop job on an amazing art piece just so he can make a cool signature. Imagine this: You're a 3D designer, and you make a wallpaper which consists of a model you worked on for weeks, painstakingly and carefully as you paid attention to the detail. Then some no-name kid chops up the wallpaper you made, rips your 3D model right out of context and plops it onto what might as well be an infringed piece of work (slapping on brushes? Classic) that uses your hard work as the focal point. I know I would be pissed. Granted I'm not going to fight it, it's too much of the norm. Some of the older users will remember I tried to fight it (flame anyone who used "renders", discourage it) but in the long run it didn't really help. I just wish that artists would use more than an easy focal point, or if they do want to do something like that use a stock image from various (great) stock sites around the world. Hell, perhaps they would even develop their own style other then the generic signature that is so prevalent online today. So.. I agree with you ven. I do think it's hypocritical of people, but I do understand. Most people view these images and designs in games as "Free reign" or they don't view it as art because it is commercial. Yet I will bet you any amount of money that any of these images people chop up and use are created by artists with IMMENSE talent and take a hell of a lot more time than a 15 minute signature.

With such a name as "Ipkjooo" you should have no problem tapping those creative muscles in your brain. Seriously though the art Bazaar is your best bet. Or start off making a personal website.

Possibly. I've had it overclocked for 8-9 months now with no problems, today was the only problem I ever had. I may just keep it @ 1.8ghz though, I dunno. Haven't noticed a drastic loss in performance so far.

Not sure how someone couldn't find something they like from the DLC. A lot of it is harder then the base game.

I wrote down the BSOD and googled it. Said it could be due to a number of things, one which was the failsafe activation from overheating. I assumed that was it because once I clocked back down to 800MHZ it worked fine (wouldn't even boot windows otherwise). And my case is just on my desk. It's been working fine now ever since, haven't OC'd again yet however.

Alright, thanks :) . I'm going to give my PC a bit of time to breath and see how temps look and how it performs for a day or so.

Yeah, I've done all that before Joe (how I achieved the 1200FSB). All I was wondering is if it was safe to do it after the BSOD. @45C full load right now for the CPU w/o OC.

Just got back from fixing a nasty BSOD I was getting. Apparently what happened, was this: The temperature fluctuates in my room a lot depending on how it is outside. I'm guessing that it was hot enough in the room that the hard drive (IIRC) went into it's safe fail mode, and shut down. No big deal, right? Well later on today I was just browsing the web and bam, crash. Finally managed to catch a glimpse of the BSOD that I got, looked it up and it was a "Divide by Zero" error or a fail safe error. So I unclocked my processor to normal FSB speeds, and it works. So I'm wondering, would it be safe to overclock my processor back up? I don't think it was ever it that got overheated (just the PC got confused, or something) and my temps are currently: CPU: 40C HD0: 43C GPU: 46C and it's still fairly warm inside my room. Before the crash I had my E4300 @ 2.7ghz 1200FSB, stock 1.8ghz 800FSB. So you can bet that I don't really want to miss my extra 900MHZ, although I don't want to [bleep] up my CPU either.

Shoulda just saved time and used a gradient in a program like GIMP if you'll shade like that. Look at pictures of real skies, real grass. You have a very easily defined light source (albit the sun is much too large, if it was actually appearing that big we would be in trouble) so use it. Also the Red does not fit in with the yellow/green/blue, at all. If you're going to use natural colors as a color scheme stick with it the entire time. Also, why doesn't your guy have any resemblance or shoulders or arms? It's very choppy as well, look up how to make a smooth line when doing a curve. Not even going to mention that it's just a very boring setting overall. Yawn, some guy looking at a sun -- how horribly cliche.

Looks like a half life era mod, quake engine for sure. Haven't a clue what it is though.

Why pay for it when you can just pirate a copy? Who the hell would pay for a leveling guide anyways. (or need to follow one?)

Okay, yeah, slight overexaggeration there, I must admit. :P And I didn't say he had to, it was just a polite suggestion, he can choose to ignore it if he wishes, but variety is the spice of life. AND I LIKE LIFE SPICY HOT!!! That's why you listen to a bunch of grindcore bands that all sound the same, right. :)

Yeah, Guitar Hero just feels and looks childish. Rock Band just feels a lot more mature, if that makes sense. And Guitar Hero is easy, honestly. It gives you such a timing window for notes that you can hit them so easily. Either way, I find Rock Band a lot more fun, more mature and has a much better set list. Really there is no arguing the last one, with DLC there is something for everyone.

Rock band, it just feels more complete. Plus, the Rock Band DLC destroys anything Guitar Hero does. Sure, Guitar hero may have some good songs now, but Rock Band has weekly DLC! It's much better. Full Peace Sells Album by Megadeth, Moving Pictures by Rush, Screaming for Vengeance by Judas priest. Just so much DLC. Put this way, with Rock Band 1+2 and all the DLC there are over 500 songs for the game available. The song creation sucks in Guitar hero.
