Pixel-Not-Pixel Avatar
Clean up the linework, it's choppy. Dithering. Useful for shading but also useful to show off the texture of an object, in your case a wool hat. Currently it looks metallic almost. Just go look at a real hat and see how light falls on it.

So what 'medium' do you use the most?
Digital Art. I used to be a decent drawer but, meh, I don't really draw anymore. :P

Pictures I have taken - Modified post for best pictures
Looks like a tourist's photos. Take the camera off of auto setting and learn some of the technical basics of the camera first, then move on to composition.

Made a Sig, Looking for suggestions on how to make it better
He didn't even use a 3D render. Also the signature at hand doesn't need to be littered with a 3D render, it's fine without. Could chop the length up a tad though. Good to see someone taking advice, good luck Stevo. My only recomendation is to not get tied up in using "renders" and try to create your own pieces. Using 3D Renders as a base stock is fine, but using someone else's work for a focal point in what would other be a bland signature is low class I think. Of course, you'll find most people disagree with me.

Your dream video game?
I wouldn't mind seeing a fantasy MMORPG with the scope and scale as EVEOnline. That is, one server -- holding 30,000 to 40,000 players at once on it. I'd say that it would almost be Ultima Online meets EVEOnline with a dash of WAR. Of course the actual product would be much different than that. But I'm looking at a leveling/skill system simular to Anarchy Online, the combat pace of warhammer online, the size and scope of EVEOnline with the "do-what-you-want" and hardcore PvP attitude of Ultima Online. It's completely possible with todays technology, although the largest setback would be making sure all of those players wern't in the same place at the same time. I'm talking about a huge land to traverse and conquer here, going beyond simple guild and alliance antics and into the realm of clashing nations. Eh, maybe someday.

Dual monitor questions.
You have it set up to dual monitor optimization right? Not that I think it'd matter, mine always worked that way out of the box -- with numerous video cards as well. (6600GT, 7900GS, 9600GT)

I was bored..
Boring and incredibly impractical when you consider it is a weapon. Linework is shoddy especialy at the tip of the blade.

Your opinion on violence and killing in video games?
Did not know that Blue. :) Difficult to pull off in a video game. Since you are actually the person doing it all it doesn't make sense to "hide" it unless it is another person who is doing it. In a movie you can pull it off because you are an unknown 3rd party watching the events unfold. Again, I don't see why people get so uptight over blood. Exageration is an art form, of course, and in a violent game such as Gears of War 2 it wouldn't be the same without blood. If you're going to chainsaw a guy in half you should be prepared to see what happens. I'll let you in on a hint, it isn't pretty. And again please go look up the fatalities from the SNES version of Mortal Kombat II. They're horrible without blood. Kid's shouldn't be playing games like that if they can't handle it. You bet your [wagon] that if I blow off my roomates head in a game that I'll laugh about it, but it's just competitive nature. And I don't see what is so wrong with liking some, more or less, fake gore. Again, why are you fine with any amount of violence but are not fine with seeing the consequence of your actions. SSBB is a different story all together, and I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about games such as GTA4, Half life 2, Left4Dead... all games that would not make sense to actually show what happens. In GTA4 I find it stranger that someone would let a child play GTA4 if it had no gore, almost as if they were to say "well see, nothing bad happens when you shoot someone!". In a game such as Half life or, a better example, Dead Space, gore is largely used for the artistic medium. It is used to produce an atmosphere that wouldn't be the same without. And as far as Left4Dead goes, well, what zombie apoclypse is going to be blood free?

Dual monitor questions.
I never had the problem with WMP full screen, and I never played RSHD. It would depend on the application though, but most applications should be fine.

Your dream video game?
Sonic Adveture 1+2. Not perfect games but still damn good games in their own rights.

Another noob tread by Fubol - I want a console
sigh. If you want to save games (and not spend $40 on a memory card), get DLC, game demos, ect. than you need a hard drive. Also, Thread. Thread.

Dual monitor questions.
No, the other screen will still show what is on it. The only thing is if you go to click and use something on the otherscreen (like firefox) it will minimize your game if it isn't in windowed mode. I used my second screen all the time to show ventrilo.

Stop complaining. There is nothing artistic I can criticize about a cutout and I'm not about to point out every single point where you screwed up at. And when you say things like It makes me wonder if you have any clue at all.

Xmas time
Only thing I know I'm doing is helping my younger brother pick out parts and build a computer. Might throw in something myself there too. :) Not sure what else. I know all I really want is a better hard drive and mouse. If I have the money I wouldn't mind buying myself a better processor too...

Christmas Controversies
Merry Christmas Honestly, I'll even say it and I'm atheist. I just don't see what's wrong with tradition.

Dual monitor questions.
As a note to your thought, that is exactly what my mileage has been with an 'NVidia GeForce 7300 GT' so far... Except for RuneScape, anyway... But the true full-screen games (and browser-based full-screen'ers... again not including RuneScape) force me to completely shut down the secondary monitor while I play them. :anxious: ~D. V. "Just thought the info might be of use..." Devnull Again, what kind of outlandish games are you playing that force you to turn off your second monitor just to play them full screen? The only game I ever encounted a problem with was Anarchy Online (an 8+ year old game) and even then they hada simple fix for it. And if you really have such a problem with it switch your Nvidia settings to "single monitor optimization" (I forget the correct working) instead of dual monitor.

Your opinion on violence and killing in video games?
I find it odd that a person can be fine with shooting countless "people" in the head, but the moment they see the consequence of their action they get all up in arms. Not really direceted at you, by the way, just something I've always noticed. I think that, when you're looking at a violent game as an art form is needs to have some uncomfortable moments. If it makes you think about what is going on, great! I just don't see some games being near as good if they didn't actually try to realisticly show what is going on. Of course back in the day, when technology was limited, people would use other techniques to imply something was happening but... well, sometimes it just needs to be shown. Or if you look at a more traditional action game, like for example Left4Dead. I don't think L4D would be as much fun if it didn't have the over the top violence that comes with the zombie invasion. A great example is to look at Mortal Kombat II for the Genesis and then the SNES. The Genesis version, uncensored and the SNES censored. The SNES one is just ridiculous because the fatalties are just silly. One of them, where the character pulls his enemies heart through the chest, was made so that he just grabs... nothing. It looks stupid and completely out of place for what is an over the top game because, well, that is funny. Now, to (slightly) play Devils Advocate here. Goombas aren't real, however humans are real. It's much easier to suspend belief in a game like mario then it is GTA for a child. Spoken like a true underaged kid. I do think that the ESRB does go too far at times ( AO for slight nudity?) but as far as a game like halo goes I can agree with the decision of M. Oblivion should have been a T tops, however. Disclaimer's only use are to save someones [wagon] in a legal battle. They don't actually help prevent anything. Anyways, I do agree with a lot of the ESRB ratings although most people tend to forget that they are a guideline, not a rule. Just like anything else if a child gets a parents permission they can play it, and I think it is up to the parents to decide what is best for their child. Of course in today's world most parents are very ineffective of doing this, which is why we have things such as a 10 year old playing GTA (which, in all honesty, I don't know any 10 year olds that would be mature enough to play GTA. [cabbage], I don't know many 13-15 year olds that are mature enough!) Still I think the majority of complaints about the ESRB are largely related to an underage teenager not being able to buy a game, because their parents wouldn't let them (or some other nonsense). Of course I got off track here, but violence in video games? I think it's fine because more often then not it has a purpose.

Lookin' for a new computer.
Exactly. And I'm fairly sure, as others have said, that windows 7 will have an upgrade plan from XP.

Fallout 3
I think it is over rated. Hopefully the custom content once the development kit for it out will save it.

I AM HAIRLESS - vector
have you ever tried to do a vector... There is quite a lot of style and skill that goes into them As to the image it's good and I see you spent time on it but ijust don't like the style There is a difference between a good vector and simply tracing over an image with the line tool. The later being easy and un-artistic.
