  1. XP and 256Mb of ram isn't going to play nice with each other while playing a game.

is the screen wide? #-o However that should be a 1680x1050 resolution then. Do what Collective said. If that doesn't work then what video card do you have? Download the latest drivers for it.
  3. Do you ever have any useful advice? GIMP is fine for pixel sigs. Anyways, hawkxs, you need to pick a much better color scheme. Your current one is god awful and hurts my eyes. People do not look like that in real life! Also you still need to learn to draw, you're drawing the exact same as you always do.

What size is your monitor and what aspect ratio (widescreen or not?)
  5. Tangerine Dream- Logos (Velvet Part) wonderful song.
  6. Agree about System shock 2 with you. SHODAN is a wonderful villain.
  7. Ooh, these threads are always fun. I'll talk about my top 3. Half Life The best game of all time. Half life is one of the very few games I can say took advantage of the video game medium to it's full extent, creating a truely chaotic world where you didn't know what was going on. You had no idea the military was bad when they came, and the only way you found it out was when the bastards started shooting at you. On a first run through there is a seemingly lack of an apparent storyline other than get the [bleep] out, but after repeated playthroughs (I have played through HL1 at least five times fully) you come to apreciate the subtle things they placed into the game. Valve has known what they were going to do ever since the begining of HL1. They knew what HL2 would be, what EP1 and EP2 would be. The pieces all come together so well it's scary, and the Gman is still the best video game adversary of all time. No other game can create the atmosphere that Half life did, and if you have not played this masterpiece you deserve it to yourself to do so. There is a reason this game is often #1 on many lists. Dead Space It feels odd, somehow, placing a game in my top 3 that came out this year but it deserves it. EA did a wonderful job creating this masterpiece of horror. You remember how I said that Half life was one of the few games that took advantage of the medium? Well, Dead space is that other game. It has very minimal cutscenes, the only ones being in situations in which your character has no control himself. The game is a masterpiece, bringing in a new meaning to the way a horror game should be made. Clues are paced throughout the game in a typical fashion, but this is no ordinary game. The atmosphere is top notch and the monster design is creepy. The storyline will keep you guessing until the end, and after all of this it feels good to know that it is the end. No cliffhanger ending [cabbage]. Just a finale that is much needed in video games today. Oh, and the bosses are the largest monsters I have ever seen in a video game. Truly , truly epic. Chrono Trigger This deserves a mention. Chrono Trigger is one of those timeless games that can not age. The storyline, even today, is a unique tale. There is no angsty teen avenging his family from a madman. Instead Chrono Trigger eases you into everything, and the first time you see the main boss of the game your heart will pound. Even over a decade later this game can pull at your heart. The recent re-release for the NDS made me realize how much I still loved this game. The combat is wonderful, the story is wonderful, the music is some of the best out of any game ever made. It's another classic. And obviously Half life 2 is up there on my list too, but I felt having 2 half lifes was too much.
  8. 6600gtx would out perform the 9300. Even though 6600GT would not run bioshock as a good framerate either.
  9. The point of the joke is that it was poorly drawn. God it's like talking to a 5 year old.
  10. You should really play EP1 and EP2 if you haven't yet either. HL2's storyline can be a bit confusing, I found it is more interesting when you notice the things between HL1 and HL2 though (after multiple play throughs).
  11. Should be able to.
  12. Awesome dude. What programming language does the iPhone use for its apps anyways? Looks impressive. :)
  13. It looks great, I've been following it for a long time now. Of course I'm kind of sad that it may be the only experience to Half life 1 some may have, but it looks like a great game none the less. Just hope that people will still herald HL1 for what it was too :)
  14. You'd have to get up to 40 before anything Seer, we're fairly strict on the level now.

What exactly kind of monitor do you want if it's not either one of those? :?
  16. I've played order for about 2 months krisc. I know but i didint think you would be taking it serousley  :P Well, when I'm in the best guild on the server and one of the highest level guilds in the game (Guild rank 25, and the highest legit one I think is 27/28) you tend to take it a bit more seriously. My destro server and guild sucked anyways. :P + I have an @ Cyrant post on the forums. So there.
  17. Just curious, but what use would you have with two mice? (mouse cursors, that is).
  18. I've played order for about 2 months krisc.
  19. Yup. If you read the rest of the article you'd find out: Crazy stuff.
  20. I wouldn't mind getting a new hard drive in all honesty. Can't really think of any more than that though. Looking forward to helping build my younger brothers computer he is getting all together with his own money and a bit of help with christmas/his birthday (they are like 6 days apart  ). Should be a lot of fun. :)
  21. So what, they're saying the same things my 3rd grade teachers told me and are laughing all the way to the bank with it? I wish I knew it was that easy to make money (oh, but wait, it is!)
  22. Maybe you should educate yourself before spouting off crap.
  23. The failcom ages on MMORPG.com were awesome though. I don't even go there anymore but it was fun trolling. A good 100+ posters all with the failcom avatar, lovely.
  24. Wishbone Ash's Wishbone Ash album. Just something kind of peaceful while I do some graphic design homework...
  25. Good idea Shiny. :) Depending on which day I get home I might try this. I have a camera I haven't used in ages.
