  1. Ungrim order side if you're in north america. :)
  2. Is there anything higher than gold? Platinum perhaps? Muur? Lord this thread has gotten from amazing to better in a few short posts. I mean, D_V has to be doing this for [cabbage]s and giggles.
  3. Right, he should get criticism from kids leading a clan in runescape rather then from graphic artists, a few at least who I know are making a career out of it (myself included).
  4. I wouldn't consider throwing an xbox out the window good parenting?
  5. The big thing is just that overclocking a Pentium D period seems like a waste, especially with an integrated card. :)
  6. 1.0.6 out today. For those curious what a R40 warrior priest in 3/6 sentinel gear looks like: Also a screenshot of the top 3 healers from one of my scenarios, my best healing done so far (350k) Haven't got my sent chest yet so that still looks lame, but whatever.
  7. You are right. WAR does have enough differences to not be considered a "WoW clone" although people will usually stick to the combat system and (apparent) aesthetics of the game to label it as a clone (even though it looks almost nothing like WoW if you compare them). And right-on with the AoC comment. :)
  8. Needs to take out all of the animations except for the picture slideshow which needs to be slowed down. Font needs to be something legiable (the fancy font is fine for headers but for the body of the text use a serif or sans serif preferably). Centered text is really boring composition, experiment with other alignments. I would also be wary of color, the black on light brown will not work well with certain fonts. Oh and the actual content text is cheesy as [bleep]. It's just runescape. It's not an epic battle, it's a bunch of 12 year olds playing a game of chance with each other.

Cheater D: Also I think I have an impossible one whenever I get the chance to post it.
  12. Certain browsers will render javascript or images faster though.
  13. You can't be serious D_V.
  14. I would say that 45C would be about the maximum you'd want to get your processor, full load. Mine idles @ 35C and is Full load @ 43C.
  15. Not to be rude but, with a system like that, I don't really see a point in overclocking for you. Not sure how well the Pentium D's OC as well (my guess is not that great). To overclock, however, does depend on the processor. For the Core2duo line, for example, you do it through the bios (all CPU's will be like this) and you adjust the FSB. So my base FSB on my processor was 800 @1.8ghz speed. When I turned it up to 1200 FSB it became 2.7ghz. Usually it's safest to do overclocks in increments of 50 or so, although when I did mine I started by boosting to 1000 then going up about 50 from there.
  16. Reinstall it, agreeing with others. (why are you using safari on windows anyways :S)

Yeah pretty sure it's croc. God that game was awesome, I remember getting it for the Sega Saturn because we didn't have an N64 for mario 64.

    Chex Quest. [e] beaten.
  19. PvE or PvP? Most MMORPG's these days do cater to the solo player so to speak, after WoW it is almost a must to be able to "solo" from level 1 to the cap. That isn't to say that grouping is non existent in games or even detrimental. Age of Conan: Avoid. Warhammer Online: Grouping can be valuable because, with the right setup, you'll be able to do any Public Quest you want without having others around. You'll have the combined power during scenario matches as well and, if you're good, more of a chance to win. Questing is alright in a group -- less XP for kills but there is enough content that you won't run into a major problem. End Game content focuses a lot around 6 man groups (6 people can que up and join a scenario together, all the end game instances are 6 mans. Even in ORvR a decent 6 man can help turn the tide). World of Warcraft: Grouping is valuable for doing instances (which can start as early as level 10-12 if you're horde) although grouping for quests may not be as helpful in the long run. Of course, the leveling is so easy in the game that you could probably get by with even questing as a group. End game content would see a lot of action to a small group (Lot of end game instances, and even raid instances only need 10 players) if you enjoy PvE. Lineage II: Grouping is huge for leveling, although it is much more of a "grinding" game then a questing game. PvP in the end game often focuses around small group encounters and large guild and alliance based castle sieges. Everquest II: Last time I played grouping was helpful even in questing, although I hear they made it slightly easier to level. Still it's a fairly solid PvE game if you have the computer to run it and want a slightly more mature looking game compared to WoW. Other than that the only other MMORPG's I could talk about are probably too old to really be enjoyed. All the games above though I've played for at least 2 months or more. AoC for 2 months, WoW for 7 months, Lineage II for 3 years off and on, Everquest II for about 3 months and WAR since release (which is almost 3 months now).
  20. That background isn't distracting at all, nope nope. Cool your jets on the completely unnecessary animation.
  21. I should add in that you seriously need to know the meaning of a punchline and, whatever you do, don't look to CAD for advice. In CAD largely B^Uckly's work goes something like this Frame 1: Setup Frame 2: Setup Frame 3: Punchline Frame 4: Explaining the Punchline Or if he's really frisky he might even slip loose the punchline in Frame 2, and a few times I've seen it in Frame 1 as well. What you need to do is look to a comic such as Penny Arcade for good punchlines. Penny arcade switches their setup and delivery from comic to comic, but usually do this: Frame 1: Setup Frame 2: Setup Frame 3: Punchline Part of delivering a good joke is understanding your target audience. For example, most gamers are aware that in games with custom content abilities most likely there will be someone, somewhere, who makes a penis. It's a law, or sort. We also know that the media loves to over exaggerate when it comes to sexuality and video games (Oblivion getting "M" rating, Hot coffee in GTA). All of this is public domain knowledge among gamers. So, for a comic, one could do something like this Frame 1: Child at the computer playing a game, door is opening. Frame 2: Mother walks in the room and is shielding the child's eyes shouting "don't look at that honey!" Frame 3: Picture of a "new" spore box, rated M. It's not that funny, I know. And I apologize, I'm not a cartoonist nor am I very funny. However it follows the same setup that penny arcade does. Setup, setup, punchline. Not sure why I'm typing this all, I doubt you'll listen or even understand.
  22. Well technicaly it just means its popular and appeals to a large number of people (whom most won't have terribly good tastes). It's the same reasoning behind music as well, just because it's popular doesn't mean it is good. Of course, just because it is popular doesn't mean it is bad either. I'm not going to leave any imput on Counter strike though.

Seriously? It honestly doesn't look that hard. Not TTFAF or TDWDTG-hard in any case. Maybe Raining Blood-hard. Meh the only hard part of TTFAF is the intro, the rest is easy to BS.

Most game reviews would agree to that statement. Rock band 2 got 5 stars, for example, while GH:WT only got 4 stars. Plus when you look at the big picture Rock band 2 has over 500 songs easy once you count in DLC (at 160 microsoft points per while song packs are usually 440pt and albums 800pt) and the fact that you can add the RB1 songs onto RB2. Generally the concensious too is that GH:WT is "harder" which may be true with the base songs is really not true when you count in DLC. For example, I would put the new DLC song Caprici Di Diablo right up there with TTFAF from GH3 in terms of difficulty on the guitar. But really, DLC is what makes RB2 shine. they bring out at least 3 new songs a week, most packs which are damn good.
  25. according to this page it seems like they can. If not I'm sure you can find the PC on another website.
