Yeah I'd say so. You might want to stick to squad rush/deathmatch if you enjoy smaller matches, although Rush/Conquest are pretty good too. The shooting does feel a little more like CoD4 than the [developmentally delayed]ed MW2, although I didn't play CoD4 a ton so I can't say too much on that.

Portal 2 anounced
It's not fan made, there is a pretty obvious connection. The fan made part is that Valve is going to converge the two games into one game. What is not fan made is that the events in Half Life & Portal are contained in the same universe but not necessarily at the same time. This is found from clues found in the game (and hinted/directly said in interviews with Valve). My post did not contain an 'it', it contained multiple "its', so if you want to refine your post, please be specific in which it you're referring to, thanks - for your convenience I re-explained myself more bluntly. Well they are both seperate series, yeah. There still is a lot hinting at HL3 will be involved with the aperture science lab in some way (with the borealis or w/e it is called). It might not be to the point where we play with a portal gun or anything but I'm pretty sure it'll tie them together storywise.

League of Legends
It's crap, Heroes of Newerth is a thousand times better. Pretty much LoL is the "easy mode" of DoTA style games. Oh and this is like the 3rd topic on it.

Portal 2 anounced
[hide]It's been known that they are going to link Portal and Half life together. The biggest evidence of this is that at the end of Episode 2 they talk about this boat that is out in the middle of nowhere [portal technology].[/hide] e:

Portal 2 anounced
http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/05/portal-2-confirmed-by-game-informer-cover-due-in-2010/ The past week's bizarre pair of updates to Portal seemed to point towards an impending announcement of a sequel, and, well, they did. Game Informer has revealed that its April 2010 cover story is none other than ... Portal 2 -- which Valve has given a release window of "this holiday season." The magazine's site teases the 12-page feature, calling the game "a full-fledged, standalone sequel" with "new gameplay mechanics, storyline, and some surprising new twists." We'd venture a guess that one of those twists has to do with wherever the portal featured in the cover art leads to -- a misty, jungle setting where some sort of seemingly derelict facility stands, overrun with vines. The flip-side of the cover is (cleverly) a view back through this portal into a familiar Aperture Science setting. Finally, the single cover line mentions "the people who are still alive," a potential hint at a reason for venturing into the new setting in the first place. http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/03/portal-updated-with-extended-ending/ http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/03/portal-fans-find-secret-images-bbs-phone-number-in-radio-messag/ If anyone was keeping up these past few days valve started to hint at a sequel with a pair of strange endings. Today Joystiq found out that, yeah, it's an announcement for Portal 2.

The hardest part is just that some of the maps can be large so you'll get sniped from all sort of places. Not too hard though. Man, squad deathmatch is just amplified by 1000x awesome when you have an (almost) full squad of friends. Me and 2 other friends were playing it for like 3 hours, it's awesome. Got my M416 and now I'm a bit over half way to getting the M16. I want to play so badly, if only my PC wasn't so [cabbage]. The people I hang around with on vent have bought a server, and they haven't shut up about it for the past 3 days, and its almost unbearable. Lol. Unlocked my M16A2 now, gun is so awesome.

Mac or PC??
My post was strictly based on those laptops. Which, as it seems, aren't good for much but staying on a desk. My fault for using them as an example really, I just looked at specs real quick.

Yeah. There are a few ways to easily get to windows explorer. In XP you could right click on start and go to explore. Of course you could also just set yourself up a link to the "program files" folder, but I'm not sure why you're looking for programs in that. In windows 7 all you need to do to get to any program you need is hit the start deal > all programs > (list of programs). There then are the most used links when you click the start button and, of course, you have the "dock" taskbar at the bottom and your desktop.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
EVERYONE WHO DOESNT PLAY IN A WAY THAT I APPROVE OF IS PLAYING WRONG It's one thing to use akimbo Models. It's one thing when a teammate goes on a team killing spree. It's another thing when 2-3 people aren't even playing the game the way it's supposed to be played. Oh no they are getting fancy little titles and emblems that I don't have. It's not like it actually is effecting anything. They aren't cheating in the traditional sense (which would be unfair), they aren't actually gaining an unfair advantage at all (oh no they get a new emblem picture) and it's not like it is really effecting anything. Sure, it's stupid that people feel the need to "boost" but who the [bleep] cares. http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/04/ousted-infinity-ward-founders-file-suit-against-activision/#comments More with the Activision firing thing, now they are counter suing activision for the Modern warfare brand.

What do you get after vet 1? Lol if I could ever find my 1942 and Vietnam CD keys... Got my AUG now, gun is so beast. Also squad deathmatch is awesome. @sarge: servers can set an option for a "hardcore" mode. Not sure what all it does.

Mac or PC??
The laptops I picked out were the first two I saw. The thing is there are numerous laptops that are the same price, it's just all about finding a manufacturer you trust and a solid build. If you actually want bluetooth in your laptop (I have to question who actually uses it) you can find one with that. Again battery life is the same deal, if you want to find a laptop with a better battery you can. The one I'm using actually has quite a damn good battery for being a 17" laptop. Power saving settings always go a long way too. I would say that my laptop gets around 3.5 hours worth on "full load" of battery time. Of course the reason I got mine was a desktop replacement, but that's not for this topic. In all honesty he's not going to notice the difference between 98PPI and 116PPI. I feel like you're just picking on the two random laptops I put up there. Not all windows based machines have [cabbage]ty hardware and build as you would imply. Again my current laptop is built like a truck, runs cool and quiet, has a great screen (17" 1920x1080 resolution) and is really powerful too.

Yeah and they also did MW2. They just need to stop with the series before it gets even stupider.

Mac or PC??
I know it's your opinion but I still say that it's all based off of just how used to an OS you are. Even though I use OS X a lot in school I'm still really iffy about the OS in general and I just don't like a lot of it. I find windows 7 to be a lot more user friendly (especially if you're used to windows based operating systems). I just have to ask though, what is it about OS X that you guy's all find really user friendly? Windows 7 has a "dock" just like OS X after all and in all honesty I find the mac's way of exploring folders to be god awful compared to windows explorer. I'm just wondering why people find it so user friendly. Does it have something to do with the perceived notion of it not messing up or breaking or something? Anyways to the OP this is why I would recommend a windows based machine: http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro?mco=MTM3NDc0NDI There are the mac's and pricing for them. In this case lets use: 13-inch: 2.53Ghz Core 2 Duo 4GB RAM 250GB Hard drive 9400M GeForce $1,499.00 As the example of a macbook. Now a few examples of windows based notebooks: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834114803 TOSHIBA Satellite A505-S6035 NoteBook 16" Intel Core i7 720QM(1.60GHz) 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M $999 Already this is better spec'd than the macbook equivilant. It has a stronger video card inside of it and an i7 processor which, even though it's CPU speed is slower the actual i7 chipset runs much faster than a core2duo. Not to mention the screen is 16" vs a 13" macbook. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220669 ASUS GSeries 17.3" Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000(2.00GHz) 6GB Memory DDR2 800 640GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M $1,299.00 Another one that smokes the macbook, especially when we're looking at video rendering. You have 6GB of ram, a quad core processor and a very solid video card. And it is a couple hundred less than the Macbook posted. Pretty much you need to ask yourself how much the mac branding and OS is really worth to you.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
You guy's are crazy if you don't think IW is bringing down the CoD brand alongside of Treyarch. I'd say IW did more damage than Treyarch did, at least they just copy+paste.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
There's no such thing as "skill" in a video game. Video games revolve solely around reaction time. I personally think it's just arrogant to ride around on your high horse proclaiming that your favorite gun isn't one that is classified as "overpowered". There is a lot more other than reaction time involved. Maybe not in MW2 but in other good games there are a lot of factors that go into what team wins. You know, all that teamwork jazz.
