  1. It only took like 15 minutes for him to talk to me again :P
  2. You have to pay the butler for every 8 trips, not 10. :/ I think it will be faster for you to run your own logs then to have the butler do it. You can either do that or just buy the planks already made... Gold farmers and macroers have bumped the price down quite a bit recently. If you choose to run your own logs a fast way is to use the balloon near castlewars (enlightened journey quest). With the spottier cape, penance gloves, and boots of lightness you can take money, a willow log, and a full inventory of oak logs to the varrock sawmill very quickly then use a dueling ring to return. Edit: by the way, don't forget about the construction buffs. You have the crystal saw that always give +3 to your level, and you can add another 6 if you get the best buff from evil stew. Evil stew is a pain though... I used it to put my gilded alter in going for a +5 bonus & that took awhile. The construction tea gives a pretty stable bonus. Just look at the construction guides for that though.
  3. I highly doubt the crafting guild can be considered better than the arz mine. There's not enough rocks, and whenever I'm at the guild I always see someone mining them. Maybe you don't know this, but there is an npc that banks your ores at the arz mine so you don't have to walk all the way back ya know. You just need to let him keep some (less with a ring of charos(a)) If you really don't want to do the arz mine, then I guess you're stuck with the three choices above. The guild might be better if you have the teleport stuff. If you don't have the skill bracelet you can use the balloons w/ oak logs and dueling rings (if you completed enlightened journey)
  4. I would suggest you use magic dart which requires 55 slayer since it's an effective spell, and the barrows chest will often drop the runes required to cast it. For your ring, definitely ring of life. The brothers hit hard, but you'll be kicking yourself if you get put in a position where it would have saved you. Try wearing a god cape (I think you get them from the mage arena?) You'll also want to bring some nice arrows and a bow to take care of Ahrim... 70+ range would help a lot.
  5. Hmm agility might not be so bad. I'll probably try that out if the gloves at karmaja work nice in the agility arena. :) Probably gonna do thieving either way since I like the plunder. Already found one of those sceptres too :D
  6. really really really really really slow. like 10 an hour slow.
  7. The balloon method would be faster. Do the quest enlightened journey to open the balloons, and then do unlock castle wars from entrana. Basically you can use the balloon right outside of castlewars to get to entrana for the cost of 1 normal log (after you unlock castle wars & you still get the armor/weapon check), and then when you're done use a duel ring to get back to castle wars. I used that method for mining soft clay at the crafters guild, and turning oak logs into planks.
  8. It might be as soon as you can use the rune pick.
  9. I'm thinking about putting some money into my prayer and raise it to 70, but I just did prayer, so I might be considering something else. I'm interested in runecrafting. I'm not too sure how the abyss works, but I know I wouldn't have to bring a glory in since I can just warp to my house with a tab to use my infinitely charged one. I'm probably going to raise thieving either way since I like pyramid plunder, and it's turned a nice profit with the sceptre I found + the stuff I find there (about 6-7k gold a run). I guess I'm just askin for some suggestions :) I have 1600k in gold + more in items that i haven't sold yet, so costly methods don't bother me too much (except leveling magic with ancients :P) The only skills I'm really not interested in leveling right now is farming, woodcutting, fishing, and crafting.
  10. Dueling in the duel arena. Each player puts up a stake, and the one the wins keeps both.
  11. That's why you pay a servant to bring your stuff to you. :P
  12. I ranged one pretty easy yesterday, so 76 works :) I didn't have all my ranged armor on either. Was just running to cook & had a bow out so I figured I'd try.
  13. If you're still p2p then do runecrafting. It's not hard to the cosmic runecrafting level. That's that fastest way... If you want to try those ice giants though you don't need to go into the wilderness... There's some in the middle of the ice dungeon for the heroes quest.
  14. Yeah controlled is a really bad way to train strength if you want strength, so try training with a dds or a dragon scimmy/long.
  15. Yeah I wasn't sure of that palm one. I'm glad I don't need 68 farming for it. \
  16. lady of the wave is south of cairn island. (southwest karamja island, west of shilo) The deathwings are in the legends dungeon south of shilo I think To collect 5 palm leaves you need to grow a palm tree I believe :) (don't quote me on that though)
  17. I did pyramid plunder at those levels... (and still do actually since it's hands-down the best after 61 at least). It's not accessible if you can't enter sophnmen, and it's not very efficient if you didn't finish contact which opens a bank near it. Some people get by without it though.
  18. depending on the prices you get, dragon bones are probably cheaper to buy. I bought 850 d bones today at 1200 ea. I'm not too sure on the price of big bones, but they seem to be 300+ from what I've seen on the RS forums (although there's always someone trying to buy cheaper, the major sellers go for 300+) D bones are about 16 gold per xp & take less to get the level, and big bones take about 20 gold per xp & take more time to level. :/ That's if you want to buy them though. I'd say try the hill giants (a little past the grand tree entrance), or mossies northwest of ard... It's probably not hard to bank there anyway
  19. Yeah for speed and price I would make oak doors to 99.
  20. You need 3 uncut gems, some trading sticks, and a gout tuber then talk to the doc there. Gout Tubers aren't that hard to get. I got mine in an hour... Just bring a spade and be sure to get them before other people around you. There are a lot of thieves out there. :) Like 5 people tried to jump on mine when I got it lol, but I won. \
  21. limpwurt roots sell pretty well (about 1k each). Just kill stuff that doesn't require a ton of food. Remember you don't get any bonus exp for killing harder things, it's all about the amount of damage you can do.
  22. Heh lucky with the evil stew, tea is a stable bonus. :) You need to use your cat to get the ingredients for the evil stew (it takes a lot of time), and I went through a good 50 or so stews before I gave up & went for +5. +5 is easier, but it's still pretty unlikely. What I mean by +1, +2, or +3 shelves is the kind of cup the shelves in the kitchen can offer. Wooden shelves 1 & 2 give a +1 level tea cup, teak shelves (lv 45) gives a +2 level tea cup, and the gilded teak shelves (lv 67) gives a +3. You need a full kitchen to make tea though. \ The process of making tea doesn't really change. Go into the shelves, pick up a teapot, kettle, and cup. Fill the kettle with water & put it on the stove. Get a tea leaf from the larder & put it in the teapot. Take the teapot off the stove & use it on the teapot. Then just use the teapot on the cup. For evil stew you also need to start recipe for disaster which isn't hard to start (just hard to finish). Evil stew is not worth a mounted glory :/
  23. I have the accumulator, and it picks my iron knives up when I fight fire giants. The steel/iron difference is just what the cape creates, not the ranged item it picks up. It doesn't work if you're wearing metal or shooting over/around something (the fremenik archer helms still work), but there are a few safe spots that work with it.
  24. The crystal saw always gives a +3 bonus, but to my knowledge if you want to buy a new room type or monster then the buffs don't count. That's because you don't use the skill to get them. You can buy the shelves that give you a +1 bonus, so that will give you a guaranteed +4 if you get the saw. +1 shelves are pretty cheap... You'll need a larder, sink, and stove too to make the tea.
  25. I got mine after about an hour from some guy who didn't bring a spade XD. I got some nice snake skins too.
