What you're saying makes absolutely no sense. In what way do specific towns determine the time period of the world? Also, nobody needs to tell anyone if runescape is medieval or not, all you need is common sense and you can see it from the architecture, way of life, tools, equipment, and folklore. And, people didn't really keep track of who was what age, because they didn't really have a calendar everyone followed. I year could have been one day. More importantly, RuneScape is NOT based in medieval times, if it was, all the towns wouldn't exist, nor would any of the monsters except for a specific few. RuneScape is fantasy. But castles, kings/queens, knights, wtc were based off the Medieval times, and you could ask anyone. Runescape is based in a Medieval fantasy.
