  1. That's what I suspected. Thanks for the confirmation!
  2. I know that you can only assist skills for others no more than 30k xp in 24 hours. But, is there something you can check to see when you can assist again, without having to ask someone to request assist on you over and over? Thanks!
  3. Dungeoneering does not have to be done in groups. I have done it solo many times. I don't see this is a real issue, at least not for me. The new skill is EXACTLY like a mini-game/activity. Slayer is not like an activity because you get xp for each and every monster kill during each assignment, not getting all of your slayer xp at the end of the entire assignment (that would make Slayer like a mini-game activity, but it's not even close). With Dungeoneering, you only get xp after completion of each instance. Again, this makes Dungeonerring EXACTLY like a mini-game/activity. I generally have accepted most updates with no complaint, but I think this skill could have been done a bit better. One thing that would have made the skill more fun to train is by allowing some dungeoneering experience to be gained while completing puzzles in the rooms, instead of an "all or nothing" xp reward at the end of each instance. If someone has an Internet issue in the middle of an instance, he/she would lose everything that had been done so far. It happened to me when I was close to finishing a pretty lengthy instance - annoying waste of time that was! Again, I generally have liked most Jagex updates (unlike those that seem to gripe about most of them), but just the one suggestion I gave above would really improve this new skill dramatically!
  4. Use Linux and ditch Windows and you will extremely improve your ability to resist viruses and sharware. Join the revolution! :)
  5. I guess that make sense. I'll tell him to start the quest and see what happens. Thanks.
  6. Does anyone know if you can do Rocking Out quest with 67 smithing and a mature dwarven stout (+2 smith bonus)? I've already done the quest, but a friends of mine wants to know this. Thanks!!!
  7. That must be it, King Mirthas. I will plant more corn and wait one growth cycle before setting up the scarecrow.
  8. Anyone? This one medium task is holding me up. Don't know what I did wrong.
  9. I planted sweetcorn, set up the scarecrow, harvested the sweetcorn, and the medium fally task in the diary will not update. It is the only task left for me to do (have done all the easy and hard tasks and this is last medium one). Help! Thanks!
  10. Ha ha! That's cool! Thanks again!
  11. OK. Thanks so much for the answer! Is that from personal experience with a landing star??
  12. Omali, I only do wildy stars and kill revs on the side, so I'm not going out there naked . . . :)
  13. OK. Maybe it will get moved by a mod. Thanks for your mature response SwordKing.
  14. It may not be "impossible" to get elite armor pieces from Elite Knights after the quest, but I killed about 300 of them and no elite armor drops. I killed 150 without wealth ring on and about 150 while wearing the ring of wealth. Must be pretty rare drop!
  15. Has anyone stood under the shadow of the shooting star and allow it to land on you? I was wondering if you take damage or die from it? I've been tempted to do it but I always have valuables on me and don't want to have to race back to my gravestone if it were to kill me. Anyone tried this?
  16. Yes. I did not realize my stats were being drained until the 3rd attempt! LOL! No wonder it was so hard. I decided to use ancients which worked well. Needed 2 super restores. Thanks for the responses!!
  17. Well, I was looking for something more specific to what attacks seem to work best. Has anyone used ancient magic on it? Can it be frozen by ancient magic spells? I haven't tried that yet. Does magic work better than range or melee? Is there a safe spot for ranging/maging it? :)
  18. Man, I feel like a high-level noob but I can't seem to beat the Balance Elemental. I've gone through massive tuna taters on it and keep having to tele out. I generally kill things very easily but have trouble hitting this boss, using ranged, magic, or melee (tried all 3). Is there a secret that someone could share to killing it? Please!?
  19. Ive been on this quest for about 7 hours now but cannot figure out how to rescue Silif. Could I get some help please? Kudos to those who figured out this whole quest on their own. I have up to this point, but am stuck now running around in the dungeon under the Black Knight's castle and cannot find what to do now.
  20. What I bring for lvl 3 clues: I wear: Black dhide body Black dhide chaps Boots of lightness (requires Temple of Ikov quest started) Spottier cape Dueling ring I wear these items for lightness and good magic protection from rev teleblocks while in wildy. I bring in inventory: 20 laws, 50 air, 10 fires 10 water, 10 earth runes (for most basic teleports) watch, sextant, map games necklace spade 1 super antipoison (for Sara wizard attacks) 10 monks If you have done the As A Last Resort quest, ALWAYS take a dip in the pool right before starting the treasure trail! The unlimited run energy is perfect for clues! I have 2 of each clue item in my bank, all grouped together. I recommend 2 of each so you have a placeholder to keep them all together, if you don't use the bank aco[bleep] tab feature (I hate the tabs - terrible "update" in my opinion). Overall, I agree with the other peeps that you should do all clues, especially lvl 3s. There is always that chance for a great reward, although my best ones have been 2 robin hood hats (on separate treasure trails). I have also gotten some nice armor pieces that sold for anywhere from 200k to 2 mil. Go treasure trails! Remove the contruction items, Jagex!!
  21. I have easily done 500+ level 3 treasure trails during my time on runescape. Level 3 trails are at least 5 clues long, but no more than 7 clues (someone mentioned 9 clues and that is incorrect). Usually, I get about 20-60k worth of stuff (rune item or two, bloods/laws, etc). But the rarer items are nice to get, although I get those about once every 10-20 clues. The biggest BAD change to treasure trails was the addition of construction items, including high level flatpack furniture, various boards, and various nails. This big mistake has driven the price of high-end flatpacks to ridiculous levels, such that even those with lower level construction skills can easily afford high-ened furniture, which penalizes those who worked hard for higher level con. For example, an opulent table costs over 1 mil in materials to make (and I spent that on mine), but the addition of these high-end flatpacks has driven the price down to about 5k!!! That is ridiculous. I have also noticed that at the same time construction items were added, it became very hard to get book pages. I used to get book pages much more frequently, but have not seen one since the con items were added!! The prices of pages have become ridiculously high. This is really my only gripe about them. If Jagex would remove construction items as rewards, it would really improve things!
  22. Hmmmm. Will be interesting to see what that new room is going to be used for . . .
  23. Yep. Maybe this is a prep for a new November quest . . .
  24. Ahhh. A Guardian of Armadyl just appeared and delivered me a message about Lucien. Apparently, Lucien is attempting to gain the Staff of Armadyl once more, using a treasure hunter by the name of Mavorio to assist him. At the end of the note, it says to "be on guard against Lucien's machinations." Interesting . . .
  25. At the bottom of the list of updates that Jagex performed along with the recent Halloween event/quest update was this sentence: "A distant rumble has recently been heard just north of Baxtorian Waterfall..." Anyone checked it out yet?
