  1. Replace the words rubber chicken with the word scythe, that's how i all feel. What really stinks is that after the scythe drop they went an entire year without drops so now the only thing i have to show long i've been playing is a yo-yo and it seems like everyone has one of those.
  2. On paper balancing skills is a good idea, in practice it limits your enjoyment of runescape and a very large pain in the neck. My favorite skill is theft, and you'll freqeuntly find me in the Ham caves robbing gems and jewelry to further my con level (it gives me very bad theft experience but for some reason i do not get bored doing this repeatedly). Then those are those skills I HATE to train, magic, farming, slayer if i keep getting annoying beasts (like sand lizards) and especially runecrafting. For various reasons i am trying to get all my skill levels to 47 or above which would lower my standard deviation but will be a large pain in the rear. I can't imagine how annoying it must be for you when you undoubtedly have levels in the 50s and 60s. Ironically the only benefits you get from having a well balanced skill set is the tears of guthix where if every skill ahs almost exp you can raise each skill a little except for the one you want to get as a tears of guthix reward.
  3. farynuff was actually from a joke taken off graffiti. The joke was "hello i'm a fairy my name is nuff, fairynuff."
  4. actually neither smithing nor construction have 1 thing per level, look under steel and you'll find that there is nothing u can do at level 47 that you can't do at 46. Also the one for construciton is 97 i think (somewhere in the late 90s).
  5. 1. Pest Control - It was fun, when no one started secret worlds and such, it still is fun if you can get a good team, Jagex needs to make a higher combat requirement. 2. Recipe For Disaster- I don't care about the gloves, I just thought it was a great quest, I loved the way the quest started and the way you don't have to go in a set order and you can rescue them in any order you please. I loved the rewards especially the pirate pete ones with scuba diving, and eveil dave's stew, and I haven't even tried (or come anywhere close to being able to start) amirk vaze and the monkey. 3. Construction I like my big house with a crystal ball and costume room and formal garden and the like its really nice to show it pff anf cook cakes. 4. Death to the Dorgeshuun- New level of Ham dungeon with great theft rewards, its how I get the money for constructio (plus I love theft). I know we were only supposed to do 3 but I thought Dorgeshuun HAD to get a mention because I use it so much and I really like it.
  6. If this bill gets passed I suspect some a protest in washingotn d.c. (heck I'd join if it wasn't for the fact I live in california.)
  7. If they are going to treat our runescape money like real money I can see another headline in the future. Mob boss father time arrested for rum smuggling and selling stolen goods. "He is involved in a criminal ring" one official says, "he has people steal silk, and they they give him the stolen silk and he sells it for 60gp each, and splits the dough with his cronies." Father time was also accused of stealing money from guards knights, watchmen and other keepers of the peace. He was also involved in stealing massive amounts of jewelry from a cult to finance his mansion. He ahs also been known to break out of jail and the local pillory many times and kill random people for money. "he is a thief and we will give him no mercy." said one officer dragging away the 16 year old away in hand cuffs. "He muttered something about it being only a game, how dumb does he think i am? if it were really a game it would have cheat codes."
  8. So many legal pitfalls, loopholes and unanswered questions, for example if we play on British servers are we then technically not making money in the U.S? Also are we eligible for property tax (although if you really think about it unless you move your house all your land's total value equals 1k). There is also the fact that everything in the game belongs to jagex, our items gold etc, so technically speaking we are making "money" for a british company not ourselves. Also if you die you are ineligible for collect taxes if you have ever died in runescape say "I".
  9. Remember our founding fathers fought bitterly to get rid of an over tyrannical government that was taxing us like crazy, giving the current state of our government and this proposal could history repeat itself. Anyway if the IRS pulls this kind of crap I imagine a long hard court battle in the supreme court. Also think about this as pointed out runescape doesn't allow real world selling of gold therefore irs would ahve to tax us in gold, now the irs is sitting on top of a very useless pile of gp and it needs to find someone to sell it to, but the IRS has angered each and every U.S. player of runescape (which is most of them) and they will likely refuse to buy from them both in protest and fear of their account will be banned so what good does it do our deficit ridden government?
  10. Someone said this on a different discussion on the exact same thing (although I am paraphrasing it). Until they collect taxes on collecting $200 for passing go in monopoly collecting tax on RPG money will never happen.
  11. Ask him if he's going to have some kind of drop party if he does indeed quit the game. Oh and also isn't there an automatic account deleteion thingy if an account reamins inactive for too long (I think it was a yuear maybe). Also Runescape classic wasn't always like the way he described I've been around in rs1, I was there when they dropped scythes (I didn't get one which was really irritating), and yes I know my pitiful stats don't show this. Anway when I played rs1 the pking and combat system was almost the same as it is now. The only major difference was all spells and all ranged attacks looked alike (a blue flying dot for mage a green one for ranged) also if you maged or ranged something and they attacked you back then you'd automataically attack them back with melee there was no auto ranged and magic, also no runecarfting. I'm telling you this because this is what the combat system would be like if you went to rs classic. Anway I just realised something, he has lvl 1 runecrafting and yet he has a ton of runes in his bank, where did he get all thosre runes if he didn't make them? I loved the article great interview I wish I was in runescape in the early days, that and another website as well.
  12. In castle wars screen 3 should go like this Screen 3: up down across5 up down down across across across up+ down down down across
  13. Doing this also gives you firemaking experience, after I flew to varrock my firemaking went up from level 51 to 52 (although it was like 3k away before)
  14. will you post the correct directions then, I'd really like to get to get to castle wars.
  15. speaking of twins my original plans for my house was to have a gilded wardrobe and desser, and make myself a twin of one of my guests whenever I have a party, I even got a guilded wardrobe. But after the eternal wardrobe bug Jagex never fxed and some err redecorating changes I scrapped the guilded wardrobe :( .
  16. I know what you mean, whenever I train construction (level 56) I make flatpack furniture with oak planks over and over and gave them to people outside the rimmington portal, well the same thing happened to me and it is annoying, now I just drop them right next to the portal, people can still get them for free but they won't know who dropped them (because by the time they become visible I will already have been long gone to the pest control bank to get more oak planks).
  17. A long time ago in a galaxy far far away (back in the days of rs1 I think) there was a man who would give away small sums of money to everyone in Lumbridge except to the beggars. i know this because I was there and he gave me money for no reason, and to several others and one person asked why he didn't get any and he replies because you were begging. I wish for a repeat of that performance even if its by me (because it might be effective).
  18. Uggh I'm sick of the annoying beggers, they ask for things then they ask for more things and it never has an end, I wish Jagex could make a new item trick money, it shows up as real gp on the trade scene but it start to dissapear one by one and fast. Now in order to eliminate scamming these can only be traded when they are given away (and even then they have a small give away. Sick of beggers give thme the fake money and watch it dissapear. Or you can tell them to take a long walk off a short cliff whichever works for you.
  19. Man I love pest control it's the main reason I wnet from a 65 to a 73. Anyway I need some help with the game. I want to help destroy the portals but I keep hitting 0s, I have a d long and a ddsp and I can't afford a whip. With that in mind what level do you think I should get to before I can start destroying the portals?
  20. in the guide it says asgarnian ale is 2gp when it is really 3gp
  21. you know maybe they did this partly becuase of all the people complaining in the rants forums.
  22. maybe now Jagex will ban players who abuse rule number 2 "scamming" which is almost as annoying.
