150
I lol'd hard. Anyway, I'm pretty excited for this new quest. I've actually decided to quit being lazy, and I'm doing the last 10 quests that I need for my quest cape. As for the significance of 150, I don't really care all that much. And like another poster said, it could possibly be a four part, though I kind of hope not.

Is God real post your thoughts!
That was beautiful. Honestly, probably the best description of God I've ever heard. I'm saving this.

Slayer.
Continued from your original thread. I know, but it's never too early to start! No but really, just do what's comfortable for you while trying to maintain a decent speed. I like to use 10% strength and SOMETIMES piety while slaying as fast as I possibly can, but I'm crazy and I enjoy doing this. If you can get a DECENT exp rate while maintaining your sanity, than you're doing well, in my opinion.

Some hardcore slayer?
Subtle troll, etc. Sure thing. OK, read it. I'd have to say that you're right about "there is no right way to train slayer," however, there are less efficient ways to train. I'm not going to tell you to go all out and use piety - I don't even do that, and I'm pretty hardcore about Slayer. But, just like with any skill, you should at least try and do it as efficiently as possible. It just saves time, you know? Again, if that's not fun for you, don't do it. With that said, you really have to expect that people will try and get you to use efficient methods when you ask for help in this forum. Disregarding it because it's not fun to you is perfectly fine, but you really can't try and argue that an efficient method, isn't efficient for YOU. An efficient method of training is efficient for everyone of the same level. With THAT said, you did get great advice in this thread, and I would personally suggest that you follow it, but do what's fun for you. If you're not a stickler for time, don't worry about it.

Lying about when you started playing Runescape
Do you have a scythe or bunny ears? And by that story, I don't believe him one little bit. :) That's OK. :) I'm not exactly trying to prove anything to anyone. My point really was that it was a great escape for the imagination when I was a kid. Now that I'm older, I'm more focused on playing the game to the best of my abilities. I think back then it felt so much bigger because I couldn't teleport anywhere. I remember when members first came out, I would dread walking to Ardougne. Ice wolf mountain scared me to death! I was also weary of attacking heroes! It makes me smile when I look back on it. I haven't really thought about it for a while. When dueling came about, I would stand in Lumbridge and watch people fight, because it was so incredible to me. Everyone wearing full rune, wielding Dragon longswords and Battleaxes. And, I'm sure a lot of people did this, if I needed to get to lumbridge quickly, I would duel someone and have them kill me. Adventure was in my spirit back then. Now that I know the map like the back of my hand, and can tele just about anywhere, I don't feel the same rush. Thinking about it though, I can recall that feeling of naivety and wonder. I wonder if all new players feel that way, even now.

Lying about when you started playing Runescape
Well, I started playing when I was eleven. 2001. Had no idea what I was doing, took frequent breaks, missed just about every holiday item, and didn't REALLY start playing till 2006. That's when I put a lot of time and effort into learning about the game. Runescape Classic was fun. When you're eleven, and you have this huge world to explore, it really takes your imagination away. I don't regret not training my skills back then. FUN FACT: My highest skill in RSC was mining, at around 55.

Some hardcore slayer?
Most people know about this. It's not THAT good. Comparable to a Dragon Scimitar and Rune Defender. Using a whip on controlled is much better. You spend a few hours training strength using a weapon that's much (much) worse than a whip. You're losing a lot of time that way. When you train controlled, it SEEMS to go by more slowly, until you hit three levels within fifteen minutes of each other and gain a combat level almost every time. You've gotten a lot of great advice in this thread, and I hope that you have the sense to take it. As always: ITT: 98% of Tipiters have no idea how to slay.

Kent's guide to Slayer mastery! NEW SECTION!!!
"...and some extreme people use the Lunar magic spell Humidify, while not losing any Attack turns! Yes, this system is very exploitable, so don't be afraid to experiment." I'm definitely gonna try that.

Ranging in PVP using the wilderness ditch
Quite frankly, I'm tired of this topic, so I'm just going to point this out and be on my way. It's already been established that terrain now plays a major role in PvP. It's quite obvious that there are now places in the game where certain combat styles are more (or far more) beneficial to use. This is not a problem in any way, shape, or form. Thank you, goodnight.

Ranging in PVP using the wilderness ditch
1. No, they're not, but as Soma pointed out, Jagex at one point made the decision to allow players to range over the ditch. Players do all kinds of things that Jagex did not intend. 2. Any area on the map that is mostly devoid of obstacles would be favorable for melee, or anywhere where a warrior can corner and trap another player. This includes the entire Kharidian desert, and large parts of the Wilderness. You're welcome to take a glance at the world map to find others. Mages are advantaegous near obstacles, like rangers, obviously. But mages also have the benefit of being able to stop their opponents, so any open expanses would work for a mage as well. Rangers also have Lletya, cowpens, etc. A little bit of creativity goes a long way, especially when we have all of Runescape in which to battle. I should not have to point out that terrain now plays a major role in PvP.

Ranging in PVP using the wilderness ditch
So, we're left with two questions: 1) Did Jagex implement the ditch in full awareness that a player could range over it? 2) Is the ditch such a problem to PvP that it needs to be changed? My opinion is yes and no, respectively. 1. No. They never did. See, in case you've forgotten, originally you COULD NOT shoot projectiles over it, reason being only one side was PvP. 2. Yes, it needs to be changed. Not only are warriors affected, but mages get the short end as well. Though they CAN beat warriors, they cannot beat rangers. But rangers can beat warriors. And other rangers. And mages. See? The only REAL winner of this combat triangle is the ranger. There's our problem. 1. You were always able to range/mage over the ditch. Players often use crumble undead on the skeletons. 2. No, it doesn't. There are plenty of areas in Runescape that compliment each combat class. This has been discussed IN DETAIL within this thread, and I can only assume that you did not read it thoroughly.

What do you look for in a boy/girl?
I read the entire thread, and only two people are in relationships. I'm proud to be the third. My girlfriend is intelligent, witty, a great conversationalist, has a great sense of humor, a wonderful singing voice, is a hard worker, and has a deep appreciation of art in general. On the physical side of things, she's a brunette, curly hair (not gross, afro curly), very healthy, thin waist, great hips, legs, and backside, perfect breasts (not too big, just right), a gorgeous face, and a unique sense of style that conjures images of the 50's made modern. Honestly, she's perfect.

you're America... AND SO CAN YOU! You know what I meant. :twss: EDIT: Jaerk and I were on the same page.

13yr old sent home for dressing as jesus
I don't think I've ever heard of someone getting beaten for dressing up like Jesus. Does this happen often? I'm American, so maybe this is common in some 3rd world country that no one has heard of?

Ranging in PVP using the wilderness ditch
I don't feel the need to go over the topic and gather points for you to argue. It's all there. ;) I see your point. This isn't just an advantage, it makes warriors completely moot near the ditch. However, there are plenty of places where the warrior COULD run around and TRY to win the fight, but what are the chances? With the ditch, the chances are nil for a single warrior. With say, cow pens, Lletya, etc, the chances are NEARLY zero. They're close enough to zero to make them just as nonexistent as with the ditch.

You've been given a variety of great, valid arguments. Choose your poison. Certain areas are NOT fair to all parties involved. Why should they be? You have yet to provide a rebuttal to any of the arguments presented.

Ranging in PVP using the wilderness ditch
Quit making pointless analogies. It is not a difficult concept in the least. ____A_____ ------------ ____B_____ A = Player using ranged. ---- = Ditch B = Player using melee. lrn2fight.
