Really, really bad day overall. I was going to push for 99, but we had HORRIBLE luck with floors. Worst floors I've ever seen. It was a completely pro team and everyone was doing everything right, but we kept getting [bleep]ed by every room we opened. Just... bad. Hated it. Then had tons of drama in the clan chat with people getting mad that they're not ranked keyers and people complaining about the DGS admins/keyers doing floors together. Look -- one of the purposes of DGS is to educate lower-level dungeoneers, correct? Well there seems to be this glitch where low level dungeoneers can't do higher floors. OH [bleep] ME WAIT A SECOND HERE, ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT'S NOT A GLITCH?! A-[bleep]ing-mazing. So all the admins and keyers are the only people in the chat (with the exception of maybe two or three people) who can do higher floors, and you're telling me that we should stop doing our higher floors together and constantly reset every time we finish floors 1-35? No, you [bleep]ing [developmentally delayed]s, we're going to continue doing our lower floors with DGSers and our higher floors together. That's how we do things. We like dungeoneering, too, and we like dungeoneering with pro players just as much as we like teaching people, so if you have a problem with that, go back to 148 (or more appropriately, 117) and [bleep] to them about your completely idiotic ideas of how this clan should run. HOWEVER, if you have a complaint or suggestion, feel free to send us PRIVATE messages about it. Complaining in the clan chat or on the forums will just piss us off. It's extremely immature and spiteful. We're totally open to suggestions, just don't be a child and start insulting us in the clan chat. LET'S HAVE A REAL [bleep]ING DISCUSSION. Jesus [bleep]ing Christ. Finally, for everyone else who actually uses the clan chat for its intended purpose and isn't just trying to get ranked because you think you deserve it for whatever reason, thank you. I've really loved teaching and DGing with the people I have, and DGS isn't going anywhere any time soon. I'm slowly learning to key myself, so I'll be starting to take teams for lower floors soon enough. OH, and another thing -- it's very hard to teach more than two people at once per floor, and it's pretty difficult to teach while you key, so Michael and I might join floors and teach while the keyer does his/her job. Michael and I do NOT key yet, so if we do floors with other keyers, it's because we're either teaching or dging like normal. Most of the leaders/keyers/admins are going straight for 120. Had lots of family issues today, too, so I'm really on edge right now. I'm like 345k from 99 and I'm not sure if I'm dging anymore tonight. We'll see. EDIT: Also, if you're 100+ dging and not a keyer/admin and you know what you're doing, why the [bleep] do you NEED to be on teams with the keyers/admins all the time? We're all in the same boat. If you're high level dungeoneering and have nothing to learn from us, then you'll just have to either wait your turn for floors or get there first. It's first-come first-serve. And don't complain in the clan chat, again -- it's [developmentally delayed]ed and it will only get you kicked and possibly blacklisted. EDIT: Furthermore, if you tell us you want to be a keyer, show some [bleep]ing initiative and ask to key a few floors for an admin so we can review you. Don't just whine that you're not a keyer and then flame us when you don't get your way.

Dungeoneering's Impact on the Community at Large
Soloing is probably better than 117, but not 148, especially if you key your own floors (not a sexual innuendo).

obvs jealous. The amount you gave him is nothing to me, I am just saying you are the sucker though. I hope that was a one time thing and you dont fall for every sob story you hear. I'm a sucker for giving away 1m? Lol okay. I get crowds following me every single time I run from Edgeville to the GE, and I somehow manage to keep my money to myself. This was, in fact, a one time thing. I liked that the OP wasn't just whining and crying about losing his stuff. Don't like that I gave him money? Read and re-read my signature a few times. And, again, very obviously jealous. ;)

Dungeoneering's Impact on the Community at Large
+1 I'd rather have a 45 min dungeon that is fun and relaxing with nice people than a 35 min dungeon that is stressful, nervy and full of bickering. false dichotomy you can have fun and relaxing fast dungeons with nice people, and you can have stressful nervy slow dungeons full of bickering. Where did I say you couldn't? I was saying that a dungeon being fun and relaxing is more important to me than it being a few minutes faster. A few minutes? More like 30+ minutes faster.

I agree with Lowc -- you're more than welcomed to use the chat whenever you'd like, Sir Izenheimcrab (sorry, I couldn't resist). You're pretty good.

Dungeoneering's Impact on the Community at Large
I would argue that we are the goofiest, most ridiculously hilarious group of dungeoneers in existence. You haven't dungeoneered until you've seen Cheeesy key in full novite every single floor or Bro Pal get I Can Has Heim Crabs and Survivor at the same time while still Rambo-ing every room like normal. I guess we're just able to fool around without wasting any time. And I have to second what Ancient said -- rushing floors is really only stressful for the keyer. All non-keyers will be spending most of their time killing stuff and running keys to their gates, which isn't exactly suicide-worthy.

got it purely for looks. i have all the useful chaotics, so WHATEVA.

Keyed two floors today for the first time ever. First floor was 35 minutes, second was 42 because we lost a key in the beginning. :/ Had a great team, too, which was nice. I'll be keying lower floors for DGS from now on, I think. I also got a farseer kiteshield. Looks badass.

Dungeoneering's Impact on the Community at Large
Actually, when I went to world 117 last time, I found a pair of level 138s advertising "Floor 37 non-rush 5:5!" I figured if you want to rush, you don't join a team that's advertised as non-rushing, and vice versa... incidentally, I joined the 138s and the dungeon actually went pretty smoothly. Also, non-rushers don't necessarily benefit from rushing. Assuming they are there for the maximum XP/hour is rather asinine. The only measurable benefit of training dungeoneering is in the form of experience and tokens. Rushers get experience and tokens much faster. I'd say that makes rushing irrefutably beneficial. However, you're right that rushers should not join teams advertised as non-rush. It's unfortunate, though, that no-one advertises whether or not they're rushing, which is part of the problem. Thus, it should always be assumed that teams are rushing, as it's the most logically beneficial option for everyone on the team, regardless of preference.

Dungeoneering's Impact on the Community at Large
I thought it was pretty intuitive that Rushers -> 3bo, nonrushers -> 117. I rush, therefore I never touch 117. Never really have a problem except for maybe 1 person in a given week. Uh, no. 117 = chickens running around with their heads cutoff. 117 is not a non-rush world, it's a "we don't know what we're doing" world. From what I understand, the quality of 3BO teams is slipping very fast, so it's no longer synonymous with pro-rushing. 148 is supposed to be a rush world, but I would actually say that it's become a non-rush world for the most part, which is very odd considering its origins.

Dungeoneering's Impact on the Community at Large
The problem with having variety is that the rushers and non-rushers are forced to intermingle, so problems arise, expectedly. When the two groups mix (which they do every single day on 117, 148, and even 3BO), the non-rushers essentially force the rushers to spend extra time that they might not have. It's actually very selfish of them, inherently. In a perfect world, the two groups would be segregated, but this isn't the case, so it makes more sense for non-rushers to just get with the program and rush for the greater good. In a nutshell: 1) When non-rushers slow rushers down, one party gets hurt. 2) When non-rushers suck it up and rush with rushers, both parties benefit. It's a pretty simple decision, really.

Which will suite my needs better?
You should be banned from H&A. As for the OP, I would have to say that the maul would probably suit your needs better overall (though that'd leave you at a huge disadvantage for Arma and Nex), but my advice is to just push to get both weapons. After your second chaotic, the rest seem to pour in very quickly. I'm 12k tokens from my final chaotic and it seems like I just got my ccbow a few days ago (maybe because I did . . .). Check out my signature if you have trouble finding good teams. ;)

97 dungeoneering, Bro Pal getting both 'I can has heim crabs' AND 'survivor,' me being a fail dungeoneer, me in full novite dungeonsweeper, and Green in full gorg dungeonsweeper. We're so [bleep]ing pro. Today was a good day of dg. I should be able to get 100 in the next three days. Maybe four. EDIT: Michael and I are in the top 42 for dungeoneering exp gains today. Michael gained like 250k more exp than me. What a no-lifer.

I don't know why, but your story made me genuinely sad. I feel compelled to give you full rune. Completely serious. What's your RSN? PM me in-game I will seriously give you full rune. Yeah I've been up for 24 hours straight and I'm feeling loopy and generous. EDIT: Oh your RSN is Deaflaska. okay.- /obt/
hi. can you please insert yourself back into my life? thanks. no homo.- /obt/
Pro as [bleep], but would be better if you added "oh, and I've decided to apply to be a keyer for DGS. You're so convincing, Obtaurian!" Hey, thanks man, and welcome aboard! EDIT: I would not be opposed to you being on my team when I key. I'm gonna need all the help I can get, and I'm definitely gonna do it with friends (not making a fool of myself in front of potential DGSers).- Dungeoneering's Impact on the Community at Large
Uh, yeah, it is about educating others. And in the process you'll also be increasing your exp/h. It goes with the territory, obviously. If Golvellius were to DG with us he'd be doing larges two to three times faster (he does one hour larges, our best keyers do 20-30 minute larges), hence why I said that he'd be tripling his exp/h. I don't see how you inferred "serving your own ends" from me informing Golvellius that he'd be gaining faster exp rates if he dungeoneered with us. Actually, I think I'm going to shoot this potential accusation down before it pops up again. For about two weeks before the creation of DGS we were dungeoneering everyday with the same group of people. I'd say there were about eight or nine of us originally, and depending on who was on, we'd usually only have to pick up one random from 148, if any. We are all very competent dungeoneers and were doing just fine. From a purely exp/h standpoint, there was absolutely no reason to bring in inexperienced dungeoneers. None whatsoever. So why did we do it? We founded DGS because we wanted to help Tipiters who were having a hard time getting into the skill or didn't know the little tricks and all the ins and outs. We founded DGS so that Tipiters could easily find other Tipiters whom they could trust to not ragequit floors and all of those other horrible things you hear about in 117. All of our keyers have been taking almost anyone and everyone who pops into the clan chat, and I've personally had a great time explaining strategies and concepts over Skype (you've all been very receptive and quick learners, which I love). We've all been devoting a large portion of our time to this project and we're committed to continuing for a long time to come. I would appreciate it if you didn't undermine what we're trying to do by throwing around baseless -- and frankly, insulting -- accusations.- Aiel's srs bsns blog: #1 Bad NEXer -- #21: 99 Theif 2562/2595
