What the government feels we need to know is what we need to know. However, in America, we are brainwashed by the government. But who brainwashes the government? the media. So what the media feels we need to know is what the government feels we need to know, which is what the media shows, so while the government thinks they are controlling the media, it's the other way around. Confused yet? Yea, me too...

And thats my que! Of course that happens. Capitalists can put whatever they want on the news, it doesn;t even have to be about anything. In what you call Communism (Stalinism, really, not Communism) only the stuff that people need to know is on the news. Otherwise it would just be wasting resources, not a good thing. Indeed, but because of what Lenin had idealized (sp?), which was supposed to be real Communism, ignorant people just lump Stalinism together with Communism. So while I'm actually a Stalinist, I say I'm Communist for the people don;t know the difference. OT: Rioting is pathetic and doesn;t get anything done. And why do the pures hate the new update so much? All it seems is level classification, is it because of their lower cb level they get less points? I'm not so sure about that statement. Lenin twisted Marxism to fit within the context of his own time. Communism in its purest form is a country with no state, as the country has been through a Socialist Revolution and the class borders have been smashed as the Proletariat takes more power over its class enemy, the Borgeoisie. Russia had a state, so I don't regard the Leninist state as Communism either. Having said that, there is no doubt Lenin was a Marxist - he just knew what needed to be done, and this meant twisting Marxism into his own form. Personally, I'm actually with Trotsky myself. Either way, Stalin wasn't a Marxist, and was most certainly not a Communist. He was purely evil. Nothing more. The ignorance towards Communism comes from the Cold War. The Americans never liked the term "Communism" from the word 'go'. It would have been very beneficial for them to label Stalin as 'Communist' - they could kill two birds with one stone. Unfortunetely (for them at least), what they didn't realise is that you can't kill an ideology. In fact, if you try, you actually fuel a resistance for that ideology. How topical when you look at today's situation in the Middle-East. :roll: Anyways, I'm going WILDY off topic lol. They never got what they wanted in today's update, and from what I see, the protests are slowly dying down as people start to realise the vainness of their actions. It was very wise of Jagex to ignore the protests, and to not respond. Clearly, the Gowers are learning how to deal with situations like this... I like it. And thus, I have twisted another thread into a discusiion of Communism and the idealogies that people believe it to be. Another point for me!

i only read the first page, so I don;t know if this has been brought up yet, but I think he was a good guy for the reason many think he was awful: the genocide. I have nothing against Jews, in fact one of my friends is Jewish, but think about it; had all those people survived and reproduced, the world would be flooded with even more people than now,a nd our resources would be even more down the crapper. Sure, they could have died in a more humane way, but they still helped protect resources.

You got a problem with that? Yea, they do. They cause major lagg if you have the misfortune to be in that area at the time.
