fastortoise, that's what I did. You have to solve it relative to the pattern number, rather than number of tiles. I don't think it's about helping anymore.

My history teacher last year was awesome. He's about 6'4, grew up in Moscow, and is actually a lot like what dizzle posted. His class is hard as balls, harder than the other AP American history classes. That payed off, though, since everyone in the class passed advance on the SOL and everyone, as far as I know at least, passed the AP exam. He's a funny guy, though, in an incredibly sarcastic, mocking way towards everyone. Everyone [bleep]es and moans when they realize they have him, but I always tell people "nah, it'll be fun. It's a hard class, but the teacher's just great."

I get up at 5:00, and I saw some others on here that get up even earlier. I don't know ya'll operate with so little sleep, going to bed at midnight and getting up at 5. I go to bed at 10 and would have trouble getting up if not for that daemonic alarm clock of mine.

Especially if their life spans are far shorter than the season. Do they still hibernate? Or lay eggs that simply gestate all winter and hatch in spring?

Infinite in the sense that there's an infinite number of numbers between 1 and 3. You could get technical and go to 1.0000000000....9, etc. and just go into infinity that way. But a line segment on, say, a graph is pretty much just a line between 2 numbers, so any numbers between the beginning and end are on the line.
