  1. How, exactly, does the federal government have more power than what is granted them by the Constitution? An example would work well. The court system as set up by the Constitution consists of exactly one court: the Supreme Court. All other courts are created at the discretion of Congress. And they created the inferior courts in order to relieve the Supreme Court of the masses of cases that arise every year. The Supreme Court sees a very select range of cases. It is extremely difficult for a case to make it all the way to the SC, because it must have great significance to the law to make it that far. And once it did, what could possibly prompt it to be dropped within hours? A case that would be dismissed that quickly would not make it to the Court of Appeals, much less the SC. The idea that states can singularly rise up and declare a federal law nullified is very Lockean, and is extremely rash and unapplicable in the modern context. If any one state were to do such a thing, like South Carolina did, it would destroy the idea of a federal government, which the Framers deemed necessaryfor the survival of the United States. If states had this power, how are we any different from a loose confederation of individual countries with all the power of a sovereign nation? Wait, that's what we were under the Articles of Confederation? No wonder they were scrapped.
  2. Now, that is a stupid question. If I had never looked at the constitution I probably wouldn't even know what state right's are. Ok, sorry about that. That was done hastily as I was dashing out the door. But really, throw your own opinion out there. If all you're doing is asking us for ours, it really looks like all you want is for Tip.It to do your homework. Anyway, the reason I said that mainly is because the poster who said that states can already nullify federal laws is correct. If you had perused the Constitution more thoroughly you would know this already. A law can't be passed if the states didn't approve of it in the first place. And if, at a later date, the law is called into question, it will be through a case of court. The Supreme Court can then decide if the law is constitutional or not if it really is that big of a deal. I don't get what you're trying to argue, because you haven't stated (which is why people suspect you of using us for your homework.) Under the 10th Amendment, any powers not expressly delegated to the federal government are reserved for the states. This is actually quite a lot of power. The expressed powers of the federal gevernment in turn must be followed by all the states, but as we said before the states have to be okay with following a law before it is even passed. So, unless you put your own opinion out there and give us an idea of what we're talking about, all you have is a bunch of people going off on their own tangents with little organization.
  3. No, for the same reason you said. Thirteen year olds don't know anything and don't care to know anything about politics. Ignorance is bliss.
  4. What the hell? Have you ever even looked at the Constitution?

You've got all your supplies ready, right? I have a spare mask for you. Don't forget the rope. Oh, and happy birthday Thirdchild.
  6. Why do you continue trying to justify your lie? You're only digging yourself a deeper hole. Anyone with a shred of logic and deductive reasoning skills can find dozens of holes in your story, and each post you make only further incriminates you. It doesn't help that you take an angry tone with us, either. I'm not going to bother trying to compile all the evidence into one post. It's a waste of time, as anyone who hasn't spotted at least some of the flaws already is beyond help anyway. And I understand the reason you posted this. Really, I do. It's a good concept, but it is completely undercut when you lie about it. Furthermore, if that is really all you wanted to get across, I don't understand why you made it out to have happened to you in the first place. Certainly you should have admitted that it was a lie after people began suspecting it.
  7. Welcome to Good Burger home of the Good Burger may I take your order? I loved old Nick. Rocko's Modern Life freaked me out, I agree Jem. . . And I can barely remeber any of AHHH! Real Monsters, but I definitely remember watching it. Hey Arnold is probably one of the best cartoons of all time, Rugrats was great too. Angry Beavers was meh. Looking at them now, I can understand why I stayed away from some. The art style was pretty dang freaky. Of course, now it's worse, and you have stuff like that Mr. Meaty show. . . ack.
  8. Lol @ feeding the wolf-eagle-thing kibbles. . . they eat only t-bone stakes with single-malt whiskey. Unoalexi! I summon you! Get in here and update your story, now! And it's thanks to you that I have the wolf-eagle-things (wow, I need a name for them), so I hope you at least see this. I might be able to update tonight, but I have a paper to write as well as a Scout meeting. . . but the meeting isn't the extra-long one I was anticipating, so maybe I will write.

Was anyone esle reminded of zombie movies when Pratt was blasting them with a shotgun? :XD: [hide]Two heroes die next week. . . DaDieselDude and I have come to a consensus that it will be Maya and Nikki. Maya because Sylar will kill her and take her power, and Nikki because Mohinder gets sidetracked with Sylar and she doesn't get the blood in time. Although, it could also be Mohinder since he's going to confront Sylar. . . And I still think Hiro might get owned by Peter and/or Adam.[/hide]

You spelled assassin wrong. And I think your other AC sig is much better.
  11. Part I13! ----------------- Number one! Ivan̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s eyes widened. There were more of them? A resounding crash rocked the room. Ivan whirled about, forgetting about No. 4, as the door on the other side of the room was blasted off its hinges ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ã

I must agree with those that say that you sound like some kid who thinks he is smart because he writes something obscure and "philosophical." You fail as hard as the short story "The School" in that respect. As much as I like creative writing, what you wrote is just bad. For one, I label it as creative writing, which it is, yet you try to pass it off as fact. Make up your mind. Do you want to write an essay on a debatable topic, or do you want a creative work that does not require proof but can't be used to prove anything.

Car guy's girlfriend takes the stage. I still dont know his name >.<
  14. I'm sorry, but this is a typical hacker story. Oh, and you're lying. This did not happen to you, if at all. As others have stated, The account Nutta86 does not have the appropriate stats for your story. You then posted telling us to look up a different account. Tatinoly does not feature in the hiscores, at all. If this was truly the account that was the victim of the hacker, then it would show up as having the stats you mentioned. Tatinoly does not exist, or was banned. And the account in the story was not banned, as the story stated that it was unlocked. As if that wasn't enough, you have the account Nutta86 featuring in your signature, at 65 Combat. I'm sorry, but didn't you quit? You shouldn't have a second account at level 65 if you are truly the one in the story, who a) did not have enough time to play on one account, let alone two, and B) quit as a result of the hack. Oh, and you signed your post as "formerly Nutta86." Okay, so I felt like tearing something apart. The idea behind this post is a good one, but don't ruin it by inventing a blatant and poor lie.
  15. What is with you and the thread length obsession kid? Anyway, I wouldn't know anything about automated responses, because I've never been in a situtation where I had to correspond with Jagex  .
  16. Yay, I have a new reader \ . Thank you for the feedback, and don't worry I will keep going. Now, to stop with the meaningless posts and write something. . . :anxious:
  17. Why has Noah suddenly become a popular name!? I don't feel so unique any more . Good job on the story, though. Keep it up.
  18. ^ Bowling does not have online. He had to physically be in the house to play it with her.
  19. Crop the browser stuff out so that all you have is the Runescape screen. We don't need all that black space :) . Otherwise, there you go. Work on them fakes.
  20. I use ImageShack, but I imagine Photobucket must be similar. Just click on the image and find the part that says "url for forums" or such, and copy and paste it here. Remember to have image tags around it. Don't use the "thumbnail for forums" tag, though. i don't think I'm alone in saying that it's a bit annoying to have to click on thumbnails for every image.
  21. Lol. Nice. Iiiin other news, I've once again changed the format of the series. This first arc will not change, since I already have it planned out. Part fifteen will be the conclusion to Series 1. But after that, Stratagem has been extended indefinitely. I've decided to break it up into series based on major plot arcs, and so it would be kind of stupid to limit myself before I've even started. Sooo, I guess I'll try to write part thirteen after I finish reading The Scarlet Letter, so it'll be up soon!
  22. It proves that he was at her house on numerous occasions, which she denied in the first place. And it also said 'nights', so we can draw conclusions from there. . . Maybe he is jumping to conclusions, but that's some pretty damning evidence.
  23. It's a conspiracy. OoT's rating went up by .1% :P .
  24. There is no difference because it was already saved as a JPEG, so you couldn't do anything about the quality that had already been messed up. Next time, save it a a .png first. TBH they are quite bad. Like Yaff said, get a package that gives you the right fonts and stuff. Don't know exactly where to get one, google it. Just be careful what you download, as always.
