Meh, I still say get an old car. There are some really nice ones out there that are dirt cheap. You might need to fix them up some, but then you've learned a lot about cars, have a nice one and extra money in your pocket  . But eh, your choice entirely.

Number one looks like crap TBH. And how much is your mom willing to spend on a first car? Nothing beats a '77 VW Bug Convertible though 8-) . With AC. (That's my car, in case it wasn't clear :uhh:)
  4. Natural selection has run its course.
  5. It's actually close to a 50/50 split for presidential elections :P .
  6. Well, nobody says "It's 273 degrees Kelvin outside!" in Europe either. . .
  7. O_o Just looked at mine. . . It's been almost two weeks. I've been sick the last two days, had a hell of a weekend, and beyond that I can't remember squat. I'll update it soon. As for Unoalexi, I think she's been pretty busy with her pixel sig shop. She has a waiting list that goes on till almost January  . Glad to see you're still updating, though. 'Tis good, keep it up.

For all you people still saying that Em is hitting on the car guy, he has a girlfriend.

In light of the recently released Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn for the Wii, I thought I would make a general topic for all FE games. To start, though, I would like to say a few things about Radiant Dawn. First off, this is easily the hardest western-released Fire Emblem game. I mean, I've seen the game over screen more times than I've restarted due to losing some random character on all three other games combined. And I'm only on part 2 chapter 2. I'm loving it so far though, the only problems I have with it are the data transfer glitch and the jumping around it does. To explain the data transfer glitch, there is a feature to import Path of Radiance save data from a gamecube memory card in order to give the returning characters stat boosts and other unspecified benefits. However, when I tried to do this my console froze. After attempting it 2 more times I gave up and started without it. Afterwards I looked online and discovered that this glitch is very common, and results from the renaming of difficulty levels when translating the game. Apparently, our easy mode is the Japanese normal, our normal their hard, and our hard their maniac. No wonder the game is so hard lol. Because of this, any easy mode saves in PoR cause the glitch, since easy mode doesn't technically exist in RD. Hopefully Nintendo will develop a patch for this soon. My other problem with the game is that it jumps around way too much. It has more chapters than any FE game to date, but is also divided up into four parts. So, by chapter 10 you are playing Endgame of part 1, which makes it feel shorter than it really is. And then you jump to a completely different story with different characters, leaving the characters that you have leveled and cared for in the first 10 chapters hanging. But I'm not very far into it yet, so it will probably all come together and change my opinion of it. Overall, I think this has turned out to be a great game. The animations, despite what critics say, have been vastly improved over those of PoR and look far more alive. Otherwise, there is no great improvement graphically over the Gamecube game, but that's not a big deal. It's a FE game, it's all about the strategy. Which means that the still art panels have remained as well. I do hope this game receives the attention it deserves, but unfortunately it may be overshadowed by Mario Galaxy. Overall rating from me: 9/10 Now, as for other FE games, I have played and beaten the other three western released ones. FE7, the second GBA game and the first to be released over here, is the next hardest after RD I think. This is probably my favorite at the moment also, because of the good story and one thing that has been absent from all subsequent FE games: SIDE QUESTS! Man, those made the game for me. There was nothing greater than playing through the game once, then realizeing that you missed a ton of side quests and characters and going back with a new purpose: to find them all! It was just cool. It's a shame that none of the games that came after have side quests besides Sacred Stones, which has one that is pretty much a given to unlock. Which moves me right along to Sacred Stones. Probably my least favorite of the FE games. Sub-par story, horrible main character design, and way way way too easy. It has its shining points; mainly the two-way promotes and split story that gives a lot of replay value (almost enough to make up for the lack of side quests), but the navigable overworld map just made the game far to easy. My strategy for the whole game was to level the units to level 10 normally, then take them straight to the Tower of Valni and grind them to level 20 before promoting them. So of course, my team was a virtual wrecking crew. It's pretty awesome seeing your units destroy everything in their path, but it gets tiring without the challenge. And finally, Path of Radiance. I'm running out of steam now, so I'll just say that this was a good game and a good job at transitioning the game onto the big screen. The addition of the home base was pretty awesome, and there were some other highlights. But still, no side quests. (Sigh.) And then there's FE6 : Sword of Seals. This game annoys me. It is the sequel to FE7, which was the first FE released in the US, so we are left with a cliffhanger at the end and Nintendo never published the previous game in English for us. So I resorted to another way of playing it and just started it today. (PM me if you want to know how, I don't think I'm allowed to talk about it here >.>) Yeah, I've been home sick the last 2 days (missed the ACT Plan test today -.- ) so I've had way too much time on my hands. So, post anything and everything to do with Fire Emblem!
  10. [hide=quotes] Why, oh why do people take quotes from the internet (in this case from the American Renaissance News) and pass it off as their own? *On Topic* - I originally read Truthscape some time ago, and, although Qeltar makes some good points, I do believe he goes OTT on a number of issues. firstly, I'm very surprised that a reader of such a highly reader-selective medium as AR definitely is would proceed to attack somebody in such an inadequate manner. Purposefully denying the content of the message, denouncing the text just by pointing out the use of a quote is a practice of the empty handed. Secondly, to answer your question, I keep a very extensive list of quotes gathered over many years from news, books, conferences et cetera which I find note worthy. If it helps me to deliver the message intended across to the reader, I do not have any regrets incomporating any strong and fitting quotes from my notes into the texts. Lastly, while dealing with the bellow-average community of Runescape game players on these boards, I won't regret the use of any copy/paste material that seems to be fitting my views on the subjects discussed. The message will be delivered and a lot of seconds saved in the process; leaving me overjoyed for the time saved while masochistically dealing with the local trash. Cheers [/hide] Wow, dude. Get off your high horse. You have: a) Openly attacked a user for pointing out that you used a quote and failed to cite it as such, which is plagiarism. You also admitted that you do this regularly. and B) Insulted the entire TIF community by deeming them to have below-average intelligence and calling them trash. If you weren't so eager to attempt to boost your ego, you would have perhaps realized that Teeg said nothing to deny what you wrote. His sole purpose for quoting you was to point out that you used a quote and passed it off as your own. Using big words does not singularly make you sound intelligent. When your post is so riddled with idiocy already the use of an extended vocablulary does nothing but make you sound more like an egotistic fool. And I'm sorry to inform you that the majority of the community here is easily competent enough to recognize you as such. Again, get off the high horse and stop plagiarising. Cite your quotes.
  11. Eh, it was already remade for the GBA. I won't have a problem with it on the Wii and would definitely buy it, but I'd rather Nintendo focus on bringing a whole new Zelda to the table.

Wow. It couldn't be more obvious that you have no clue what you're talking about. To clarify for you: Upon finishing Underground pass, the king tells you that he will send an envoy when it is time for you to do the next quest. You go about your business, and in a few hours or so the messenger randomly appears to say that you can now begin the quest. This is purely for story reasons. It was not possible to begin the quest until the messenger came. Once he did, you could start it. That does not mean that you have the levels to complete it. The messenger did not say "Hey you have the levels to do this quest!", all he said was that the king has summoned you and you can now begin it. The level requirements still stand. Everyone else here is speaking from experience. It's pretty obvious that you are not. So don't call us morons.
  15. Someone failed astronomy class. . . Not exactly helping your side of the debate.
  16. The text on the first one is better, I think. The tiger is great in both, but the rabbit still needs work. The second one is better, but you still need to fix the legs. It looks like all you did to switch the right and left legs was redraw the back area to make them appear switched, which makes the entire butt area look freakishly twisted. The right leg should be longer and bigger than the left, as it is nearer to the viewer. Simple perspective. Just fix up those legs and put the original text back on and it should look great :) .

  18. Yes, do use hide tags. Anyway: [hide]Yeah, I dodn't see that coming either, mainly because I was so happy to see someone actually die that I expected him to stay dead.[/hide]
  19. I own all my friends in tennis by merely flicking my wrist. There is no reason to "throw your arms in every direction non stop." When you get tired, sit down and take it easy. Really, do you have any clue what you're talking about?

Commencing some goofy yet somehow riveting girl-style revenge. Woot.
  21. Meh, I bought Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn yesterday, so if I get this any time soon it'll be for my brother's birthday on Thursday. Looks awesome though. Off-topic: FE is the hardest frikkin game I've played in a long time. Including the other 3 FE games. I love it.

What the hell is your bag limit? That refers to the number of branches on the antlers. And a button is one that has only just started to grow them, so it has a stub - a button.

Heh, I got an offer from my dad's game club to enter a drawing to be picked as a hunter for their grounds. They wanted youth hunters to clear their property of all the deer, there are way too many in Ohio :P . But I had a ton of stuff to do yesterday so I couldn't go down there to enter. Oh well.
  24. About 52. It's off Adult Swim now and replaced with Death Note... It seems quite boring. He gets the Death Note, can't go to Heaven or Hell for all eternity... Boring. You serious? :-s There lies the difference between those who think Bleach is teh pwnage, and those who think Death Note. No kidding.
  25. The Wii is definitely for you if you consider yourself a casual gamer. First, to clear up any confusion about the controller, it is motion sensitive and that play a big part in most games. It works great, I've had next to no problems with it (a few glitches with syncing it to the system, which I still don't understand but I fixed them somehow). Most games need only the remote, and the Wii menu uses the point-and-click type of thing with it. But some games like Zelda use the nuchuck attachment, which is basically an analog stick and two shoulder buttons held in the other hand. It may seem a bit intimidating at first, but once you get used to it it's an amazing piece of innovation. Now, games. As you said, Super Mario Galaxy looks amazing and comes out tomorrow, so I would get that. I would also definitely recommend TP, as it uses the remote in a great way and can help you get used to it, as well as being a kickass game. And since you like old games, hook your Wii up to the internet using either a wireless router or the Nintendo USB connector and get the Shop Channel. It's accessed from the main menu and has a growing library of old games from 6 systems available for download from $5 (NES games) to $10 (N64 games.) It's updated every Monday with 3 new games (or 1 N64 game.) All you need is a credit card, or a redeemable card purchased at a retailer. Other games I would recommend are Super Paper Mario, WarioWare, and maybe Mario Party (I don't like it that much at all, but if it's your thing then go for it.) Oh, and Guitar Hero if you can fork out the money. So yes, Wii is a great console and you should get it. And just because you're a casual gamer don't shy away from the other great games out there such as Metroid Prime 3. But stay away from Fire Emblem unless you are really into strategy games, because it's the hardest freakin' game I've played in years (I love it, it's just really hard and probably not to your taste lol.)
