The mystique of dying young
One of the original Chili's (Hillel Slovak) did die, he was replaced by John Frusciante. Other than that I agree with what you said. #-o Forgot about him, can't believe myself. But that brings up another example, had he not died, what would the Chili Peppers have become then? I'm sure that they would have gone in a bit different of a direction with Slovak's influence, since he and Frusciante have rather different styles. They may not even still be a group today had he not died.

the wonderful world of...anime
Random episodes of FMA bely the brilliance. I recommend watching it from the beginning.

I do that whenever I go there, thank you very much. Though I don't play any more, that's always what I did.

The mystique of dying young
I think you have an excellent point, but then there's the other side of it. Who's to say that those who have died young wouldn't have gone on to create more amazing music? I would personally regard it a tremendous loss if one of the Red Hot Chili Peppers had died before they created some of their awesome music, and they are still putting out great music even in their forties. Dying stops people from suffering the fate you described, but it also deprives the world of potentially great material.

the wonderful world of...anime
Who's calling FMA cheesy? It doesn't have a bunch of super powered dudes running around, it's more or less like what you said you were looking for, except it's not set on Earth. . . at least, not exactly. Well, I watched the first episode of Death Note on AS Saturday. It was pretty good, I think I'll make a habit of it. Oh, and I've never seen it subbed, so whatever you guys are moaning about Light's voice is lost on me  . And I've watched Bleach up to date now. I like it, but there are some problems with it. Like Nadril said, I'm not too incredibly fond of the superpowered dudes running around. Mainly because it creates the inevitable paradox where some new bad guy comes along that is more powerful than Ichigo, so he has to become stronger in order to defeat him. Then, when another new bad guy comes, he has to be stronger yet again to be able to pose a threat to Ichigo, and yet again Ichigo must become stronger. Eventually, it starts to kill the show. Thankfully Bleach hasn't moved through these stages quite as fast as say, DBZ (that got so ridiculous, my God), so it's still workable. Another problem I've had with it is that the creator has wayyyyyy to soft of a heart. And by that, I mean that he can't suck it up and freakin' let one of his characters die. Seriously, at this point, every one of the main fighting characters has been mortally wounded at least once, most several times (most notably Renji and Ichigo), but each and every time they have somehow survived. It gets so old. I mean, several fights have been robbed of their sense of satisfaction by the survival of the defeated, who was laying there in a pool of blood and looked like he should have died five times already. And the one guy that actually looked dead and seemed to be so for several episodes turns out to not only be alive, but have a major role. Maybe this wouldn't have looked so bad if it weren't alongside all the other non-deaths, but with them it only adds to the irritation. And finally, filler. Half of the show is filler, it's sad. It was going great at the beginning, uninterrupted by any major filler all the way through the Soul Society Arcs. And then, ~50 straight episodes of filler. After all that, you would think they have enough manga material to work with now, but no. It makes it like 10-15 episodes and then more filler. And then like 7 eps, and now it's at filler again. Needless to say I skipped them, but when you look at the episode count for the first time and see 140 something, you think you're in for a great time. And then you find out a good portion of them are filler. Don't get me wrong, it's a great show, but there are some irritants, more so than any of the other ones I've watched.

The Sig Rating Game
Er if you really want people to pick it apart you're in for a beating. It looks like not much more than a copypasta with some grunge brushes over it. . . I can't really say I'm an expert at this though. 3/10. I have 6, so tell me which one you're rating. And excuse the quality.

Rowling Says Dumbledore Is Gay.
woah....well you know the actor who plays Gandalf in all the LOTR movies is gay Then I guess that the actor dosent mind, since I think the origanal dumboldor was only alive to make the first 2, gandalf is dumbledoor from number 3 onwards. Wrong, Sir Ian McKellen is Gandalf. The original Dumbledore actor was Richard Harris, but he died after filming the second one so Michael Gambon took over. That being said, I didn't know Sir Ian McKellen was gay :-k .

Do you believe in "aliens"
Mars too. And Europa is one giant ball of ice, believed to have an ocean beneath the ice crust. There are better examples that you could have used than Saturn. It's a gas giant. Life wouldn't exist there.

my drawing :)
That's pretty cool to have used a coffee stain. Looks good, but you didn't have to put that guy down in the bottom left. It would have looked better without him. Overall nice job though.

I love Heroes.
I agree Claire's storyline needs to pick up again, but it will never sink as low as Nikki's last season. That whole part of the show was just -.- . DL was cool though. Too bad he died.

Do you believe in "aliens"
That's what I've always wondered. My guess would be that the "true believers" would just claim that God created man in His image, and these aliens are not man. Therefore, they are animals and have no soul. And please not that I in no way believe this.

Rowling Says Dumbledore Is Gay.
 That's. . . surprising, to say the least. The kindly old mentor, who teahces Harry all he needs to know to defeat big bad evil Dark Lord. And who is also gay.

Annoying nicknames
One of my friends gets called Tiffany, because apparently he wrote Tiffany for his name on a paper. His real name is Nick :? . And people will never, ever stop making lame ark jokes over my name. It's sooo annoying.

Why do blacks get special treatment?
PSAT, right? I took it too. This would be due to Affirmative Action, I would say. Makes colleges and employers even out the ratio of race in their students and employees, all about diversity. Which in turn creates the reverse discrimination you're talking about. Especially with jobs, if a white man and a black man apply for a job, and the white man is more qualified, the employer will still have to hire the black man due to this law. So I'm gonna say that this scholarship is all about giving people of that group incentive to go to whatever college and add to diversity. Pah.

@Germans and Japanese
1+ Here in Amercia, they teach you the basics-This guy named Hitler killed 6 million Jews in prison camps during WW2, and he tried to take over Europe but failed eventually, ect. Then the Japanese, during this on-going conflict, allied themselves with Hitler and bombed Pearl Harbor(ect.) Eh. . .

Do you believe in "aliens"
Our own galaxy is hundreds of thousands of light years in diameter, containing hundreds of billions of stars. I find the assumption that there is no other intelligent life in our own galaxy to be absurd, much less the entire universe of billions of other galaxies. Earth can't be the only planet that managed to mass the right elements in its atmosphere to sustain life.
