No, because The Wotch is inferior in every way. Oh, and it's also one of the webcomics reviewed by the Bad Webcomics Blog posted by Paperclips.
  2. The book definitely needs to be fixed. It looks like it's just floating there in front of his stomach. Chop off the bit that goes past the outline of his torso and it should be good :) . Oh, and the right hand could be beefed up a bit.
  3. Decent stories, but you need some serious work on commas. There were far too many comma splices and fused sentences in there. And then, on the opposite end of the spectrum, there were a bunch of fragments as well. Look at your sentences a bit more analyticaly and go back to all that elementary school stuff: subject, predicate, direct/indirect objects. It'll make your sentences a lot better. Besides the grammar, not much to criticize, you're doing good for what, 8th grade I think you've said?
  4. I seriously doubt that anyone here has handled any kind of combat machine gun. The most you'll probably get is shotguns and rifles, from the people like me who like shooting sports.
  5. Considering said church is/was comprised of almost just one family, I wouldn't exactly say the rest are tolerant. I'd be suprised if they all weren't for the picketing to begin with. I agree with Rick, and I also have to say that these guys are Baptists, which are Protestants, which are called so because they reject affiliation with the Church. They are in no way representative of the proper noun Church, which is Catholic. The statement in your signature pretty much serves to refute what you said, Ginger.

And im Odysseus, son of Laertes, king of ithica and conquerer of troy. Hey me too! Thank you for pulling that out of that incomprehensible text wall, now we can laugh at the irony.
  7. Dude, you're like the first person I've found who has read those books besides me! Not classics, nowhere close, but they were great. And yes, I read the abridged short-story version of Flowers for Algernon in school. It was still good.
  8. Lol, we read The Pigman in 8th grade. Worst book ever. As a matter of fact, I read most of those books somehwere along the line, minus The Odyssey and The Iliad. Flowers for Algernon was one of the best short stories I've ever read.

Yes, m4tty is banned, and that's one idiot down. But this whole topic is just one big flame in itself, really. There was no need to make it except to pointlessly point fingers at people.
  10. For all you guys saying that you can put anything in a gun and fire it, you clearly don't know how a gun works. We're not talking about an air rifle here. You can't put a push-pop in a shotgun and expect it to fire. The bullet contains the gunpowder, spark plug, the whole package to actually make the thing shoot.
  11. We already had a marijuana debate. . . It's too early for a whole new one! I'm totally behind venomai and Goddess. But, I did my part last round so I think I'll stay out of this and root from the sidelines :anxious: .
  12. Shotgun. . . shells. There's a reason you separate the firearm and the ammunition when transporting them. Safety. One can't hurt anyone without the other. Way too overreactive, especially considering the circumstances. I agree with them trying to change the charges to the tobacco possession.
  13. Why the heck does he need to have "Spanish ties" to be thematic :-s ? It would provide some sort of basis for the theme. . . ? It just seemed kind of random to assign an entire parallel plane a Spanish theme, there's really no connection at all. He would have to do the research into the language and everything. Plus, Chad is Mexican. Just a thought. . .
  14. Nom replied to Futurama's topic in Off-Topic
Same here. And I don't exactly plan on seeing them. Then again, I might just to see what all the love/hate is about.
  15. I know that. Examples of such, and my favortite animes: FMA, Death Note. Hence why I said "bad" animes. And I'm fine with what is happpening in both stories, they are both among the best here. I'm just picking up on some danger signs, what with Alexi being some evil madman dude that makes Yassin afraid, when Yassin was originally supposed to be super-powerful and made Bellatrix afraid, who in her own turn was very accomplished. See where I'm going here? The anime power-paradox works like this. Just giving a friendly warning. It's great right now, no real problems at all. And yours is in a completely different ballpark anyway. There is no real level of power structure going on with it, so it's doing good. I meant no offense to anyone! Have mercy!
  16. K. Regarding Bleach: [hide]Why does everything having to do with hollows have spanish names? Arrancar - to start (v.) Hueco Mundo - Hollow World Menos grande - less great Vasto Lorde - vast lord Las Noches - the nights Might be more that I forgot about. All of these are literal translations. Does Kubo have spanish ties or something? I first noticed menos grande when they said it early on, then when the Arrancar stuff started there was even more spanish, to my surprise.[/hide]
  17. There are approximately 1 million members right now. In order for the high scores to be 'full' of 90+, every single member must have 90+ in all skills. (Otherwise the overall would not be 'full'.) Not gonna happen.
  18. Sort of sounds like the wolf is like the feathers of ravens. The way the sentence is structured, that clause does indeed modify wolf. Might want to fix that. Comma between finest? It sounds like "finest standing" is a phrase here. Nope, fine how it is. 'Of Bluudkein's finest' is a prepositional phrase. So the sentence can be read as, 'the assembly standing outside. . .' with no loss of meaning. Is it the pet who stared at Kavik, or the wolf? The pet, this sentence is fine. "Could barely tell" isn't correct, because you're talking about "if he were" in that situation. Correct, 'would barely be able to tell' would be the correct way. "Different almost"? I sort of got lost on this sentence. It's an awkward phrasing, but the meaning is understood. Just could be better stylisticly. "Positively creepy" is an interesting phrase... It positively is. Replace To Hold his Place with Held his place? Or 'could hold his place'. I rather think this one is a typo. Replace Knew with New SÃÆÃâÃâí. Sounds like the whole council still governed Bluudkein. Before, the whole coucil governed Bluudkein , not only one leader/person Yeah, the general meaning behind that is a bit confusing. I personally think "all this" sounds much better. A stylistic choice, but I agree. Hey umm... whose Unoalexi? Is that Alexi? Most likely a war cry variant of his name. If someone's scared, they wouldn't say "she had less sense than a sack of feathers". Yeah, that would be a bit impertinent. Not a big deal though. Glaze? Isn't that what you put on pottery? Maybe you could replace that with "glare". I think she combined 'glare' and 'gaze'. . . either one would work. "Umm..yes?" sounds sort of sarcastic, not sutible in a situation where a wolf's gonna eat her... I think it's a rather smooth move, myself. A defiant tone underlying the servility. I like this part. Indeed. [/hide] Good story. Just don't let it start to become like a bad anime, with all these powerful people running around trying to kill each other. Oh, and by the way, I seem to have lost some of my readers from not updating my own story. Well, I'm back to writing it, so return to me, my lost sheep!
  19. Don't base your opinion of climate change from alarmist morons or any media source. Read the literature. http://stke.sciencemag.org/ http://www.nature.com/index.html http://www.pnas.org/ I'm aware of this, and I have found significant enough evidence to counter these arguments from a scientific standpoint. I was merely saying that with such "opinionated alarmist BS" on the other side of the debate, it only helps to solidify my position. Oh, and I don't deny global warming is happening, but rather that humans are significant contributors, as several people have said in defense to Evilperson.
  20. Diet Survey 1. How often and how much do you eat Meat/nuts/eggs/fish? I eat a lot of pork, eggs on Sundays, and I'm allergic to fish. I'm a peanut butter addict. 2. " Vegatables? 21. If anything could cement my belief that global warming is a ridiculously overcooked falsehood, then this is it.
  22. Uh, no. What you probably heard was the possibilty of playing Runescape on the Wii, because the Wii has an internet browser. And there is already a whole topic on this in General somewhere.
  23. Part I9! ----------------- The animal feed was not appetizing. It tasted dry and smelled pungently, but it was all they had. It seemed to be supplying them with the proper nutrients, at any rate. Ivan was no longer dizzy with hunger, and he was feeling the strength that he had lost after the commotion with the creatures returning gradually. They had grabbed as many boxes of the food as possible and left the room quickly, eager to be away from the foul smell and ghastly scene. The next door down the hallway had proved to be passable, and inside there was nothing of real interest but a few piles of trashed equipment and some shelves not unlike those of the room next door. Ivan and Stephanie had decided to make this room their home base, as it seemed the best choice out of any they had seen or were likely to see. It was not big and unguarded, and it did not contain animal corpses. This was where they would store any food they could find, as well as return to for rest or any sort of emergency. Ivan hated to think these practical thoughts, because to him they symbolized acculturation to the desolate laboratory, and that was the last thing he wanted. But it could not be helped for now. It truly was a do or die situation, considering the hostile nature of the Stratagem. ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅRested enough?̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  24. Heh, thanks. Although, I myself am a sophomore in high school so you never know. I just read a lot. I probably own more books than most people have ever read :P . I wubs my books . Update today most likely, as I'm off school since we met our goal for our charity walk a few weeks ago.
  25. Yeah, we had exactly one normal five day week. The other two full weeks were X/Y, so they don't count :-$ . And now we start off second quarter with a four day week. Hurrah.
