  1. Third Age Melee Plate would look better.
  2. And it's often right, too. It's a huge stretch to go from the fact that science is a trial and error process to reject well established sciences. The whole basis of your computer and the medicine you take is testament to how science works and how many of it's key aspects have always coincided with empirical observation and testing. Much of it is proven, including the principles that concepts like evolution and phylogenetics are based on. The thing is, we can only prove it here on our tiny rock. We hardly know anything about our solar system, let alone the universe in general. After all, the idea of an Oort Cloud and Kuiper Belt surfaced, what, 60 years ago? Who knows what else is out there. Beyond recorded history, we know little about our planet. We can make generalizations of a time period and what lived then, or what kind of planet it was, but the margin of error has been said to be huge. That's a good point, Julius. But your rationality will never work here. :P

Quite. I live next to a school, and this is a very quiet neighborhood, tons of old people about. But a meth deal was busted up in our alley not too long ago. They had guns. If they'd started shooting, who knows - my house was probably no more than 50 yards away, and we have the most accessible back yard from there.
  4. Fire bolt with chaos gauntlets is mainly for those with a tiny, tiny, tiny budget. Use fire wave.
  5. My answers are in bold. I'd like to meet the man who says he can change a person's genetics so that their children get to choose how they are. Can science control hurricanes? Can science control planets being made? Can science control the universe's expansion?

It was part of my debate. I'm for keeping weapons; I hunt myself.
  7. You can't "get the jist" of something you're trying, and in my view failing, to debate. Why can't you ask for proof? Because it's faith. Faith - noun. belief that is not based on proof: He had faith that the hypothesis would be substantiated by fact. How is there incredible amounts of evidence against a book I can hold in my hands? And no credible evidence for it...? :|
  8. Who would want to walk around nude these days? Odds are you'd get fondled, for one thing, unless you're in a very public area with a posse of bodyguards or something. Plus you'd probably need to wear gloves and carry a towel around to sit on, I'd be very leery of public benches, restrooms and whatnot. Oh well, if you have a fetish of getting diseased, fondled, possibly raped, be my guest, I guess.
  9. Thank you for that, Zierro. I'm not the best at getting points like that across.

    Like people you're bigger than.
  11. It's completely and utterly illogical that you want proof or morality and spirituality. Have you even read the New or Old Testament? Because if you haven't, I'm afraid your demandings of proof will be ignored, at least by me.

Well, its true. We're teenagers, and we're going to be moody and, in general, [wagon]. We can learn from people who've only recently realized that its stupid to overestimate things. [cabbage], I'm getting mature. I need to go talk about boobs and make some your mom jokes or something.
  13. Does it have to be true? It has to do with morals and truth and spirituality, and the existence of something greater than ourselves. I've heard people say that the Bible is a metaphor for something, but I can't remember what, nor am I able to explain how it would be a metaphor.
  14. American History X and the Lord of the Flies both made me sad. American History X only just got me there, whereas Lord of the Flies had me bawling for hours and hours. Mainly the part where the fat kid gets hit in the head with a rock, since I was young and thought it was real. Now I find most movies that are supposed to be sad quite funny, unless they're based on real events. As in completely based. Oh, and A.I. got me, too.

I'm still waiting for Kari to take off her shirt in the name of science.

My parents don't really give a flying [bleep] what I do. No blood no foul, far as they're concerned. And I just have to run if the cops show up.

It would be best if it wasn't a ban so much as every one being destroyed. The only problem is, anything can be used as a weapon.

Then what's the point of bringing up tazers and baseball bats, though?
  19. Barbarian fishing.
  20. I just realized I should be serious. I don't take stuff seriously, I'm blunt, I'm very bent on revenge, and I'm antisocial if I don't like you.
  21. Thieving. Fishing. Hunter. Woodcutting. Agility. Mining.
  22. No no, no no, no no, no. With your stats, it can be managed so much better. NEVER melee the melee brothers with a whip. Well, with your stats, with anything. Wear your platebody and platelegs, a neitiznot helm, an air/fire staff, and everything else is fine except: Wear one of the mage arena capes, and a ring of life. Use fire wave or, if you don't want to use the extra runes, air wave. In your inventory keep ranging armor, spade, teleports, one prayer potion, one super defense potion, whip, and food. Here's the strategy: Mage dharok with your ranging armor on and protection from melee. Mage karil with the same equipment, using protect from ranged. You may have prayer left. If so, wear your ranging equipment (preferably best armor and, at your level, magic shortbow with rune arrows), and pray on ahrim while shooting him with arrows. Or use an adamant crossbow with mith-adamant bolts. Then, take a sip of super defense potion, and kill Verac, eating when necessary. You still should not have drunk a dose of prayer potion. Tank verac, guthan, and torag with your melee armor on and air/fire wave. Then, go down into the tunnel and, if your tunnel brother is a melee brother, use one of the many safespots to your advantage. If it is karil or ahrim, you'll have to drink about two doses. Ahrim will be very hard to tank with blue dragonhide, and karil can be very tough even with barrows armor. Whew. That deserves a :twss:

So you think it is culturally acceptable to just walk around with a handgun strapped to your belt over here? And that people just shoot if they even have a problem? Because that view is completely wrong, if you're carrying a weapon that's noticeable, you will most likely be confronted by a policeman. (Unless you live in my town, our police force is terrible :?) And to all those saying its easy to get a weapon, its really quite difficult here in Texas. I'm not sure as to the exact things that need to be done, but it took my father a good 6 weeks. Whereas it's ridiculously easy to get them from a black market dealer. In that way, guns are similar to drugs (would be if they were illegal, I mean). You'd think they'd be hard to get, considering their illegality, but it's quite easy. I agree with you as to Virginia Tech, mage. I doubt anyone that wasn't a militarily trained professional would be able to do anything. I wouldn't call him precision though, he seemed more interested in pouring bullets at every person he could see. As to the suicides, then people would use pills. Or razors. Or hang themselves. Or jump in front of a car. It isn't difficult to commit suicide, and not being able to get a (legal) weapon won't change anything. Bob, I doubt any of us pushing for keeping guns would fire on a man holding a weapon to our heads. But, there's a possibility he'll still kill you. So, if you have a weapon, you might be able to keep him from shooting you. Of course, I don't believe people should carry concealed weapons. Except ninja swords. That'd be cool. Who says you'd shoot at the man robbing your house? For one thing, unless its a very large distance, you'd probably be able to hit him, and he probably won't be shooting back. Even if you missed him, most burglars wouldn't stay to shoot back. They'd run. EDIT: Oh, and range, that video is funny. Those guys have a lot of funny ones. Bears with bulletproof armor...Everyone knows they can't fit it in them.
  24. Dream as in sleepy time dreams? Because you shouldn't put too much faith in those. As it turned out, lobster men had not taken over the world. And I was the crazy guy that rushed into the middle of a garage sale with a Winchester. But if you mean you want her more, make sure you do want her for her being her. Her her her her her. Not just because you can't have her.
