Hey guys, small update here. I am already 99 Slayer, for those who don't know, and am now working on rewriting this guide due to some very nice people messaging me and telling me that they'd like to see it back. I am already done rewriting up to the Greater Demon part of the guide but I still have a ways to go, including adding the new tasks that were added in my absence with the addition of Kuradel. The guide will be rewritten soon, but will only be released when it is fully done. A Dark Beast section will also be added. Now, the only bad thing is that with the addition of the Slayer Helm affecting Range, the Experience Rates are all completely off and have to be redone individually. Another snag is that I have to be on task to recieve this bonus and get accurate experience rates. This severely hampers the rate at which I can get these done, and because of this, will be added after I release the "meat" of the guide. Sorry guys, but now it's not as easy as me going to a task and getting the Exp Rates, I have to actually wait till I get said task. These will be added, but will be added much later. Once again, thanks to all those who wanted to see this guide back and those who kept the topic alive all these years. I look forward to bringing you guys the "Range Slaying Guide-Revisited". :) Edit:And also, I wonder if anyone can help me with this. When I try to edit my first post I get the error that I "cannot use that image extension on this forum". Any fixes? Probably has something to do with my absence.

The obvious answer is the Unholy/Zamorak Book, which gives +8 to Range attack. If that isn't an option due to it's price at the moment, the Book of Law/Armadyl book gives a +6 Range attack and is MUCH cheaper. :)

Which is the best Slayer Master for me to use? My assumption would be Summona but the thing is, I really don't enjoy cannon tasks that much. Would Duraedal be just as good? Or Kuradel if I can get that high of a combat?

How do these help me slay? I think you misunderstood my question. Or maybe I was confusing. I wasn't asking for the quests that give defense exp. I mean quests that would help me Slay that I wouldn't be able to do with the goal of only Ten Defense in mind. Thanks though :)

So after getting 99 Slayer on my main account, Babypunchers/A Punk, I tried skilling and the like for a while but it just couldn't hold my attention. Slayer's the only thing I really really enjoy in this game and because of that, I started Slaying again on my main account. I still find it fun, but it just feels like wasted exp since I'm not one for ranks. 99 Slayer was my main goal for about 5 years(I quit 3 years ago, but played a lot for the first two), so with that done, any other goal seems unneccessary and not as fun. So with that in mind, I had the idea of getting 99 Slayer again, on a different account, but with a twist. That being only 10 Defense. The 10 Defense would serve no real purpose other than to look pretty sexy and I know that it would be all but useless in Pking and staking but it still seems fun. So what I'm asking is what quests would I need to slay that would give me Defense exp, so I can do them early on? Only one I can think of is What Lies Below, so that's on the list. I last did quests about 3 years ago so my knowledge is fuzzy at best. Besides that, what other complications would I run into with 10 defense? If it would be just too much trouble with that low, I could always just go with a Rune Pure. But I thought a Black Pure with 99 Slayer was a lot more unique, and I can't think of anyone else who has done it before. I know Villandra did one(or is in the process of) with 1 Def but I've never heard of a Black Slayer Pure. Any information on this would be helpful as well. Thank in advance :)

Wow, I've been reading this thread and usually don't agree with Makaveli(not insulting his intelligence, I see where he comes from, I just respectfully disagree), but I do on this "Jebrim" argument. People that got 200m in skills first did so when it was much harder and deserve that recognition. Anyone lusting for E-Fame just wants to see other people's achievements negated for their own hollow sense of satisfaction.

So I loved Slayer 3 years ago. That's when I quit after all. I quit at level 93 slayer and recently came back. When I came back, I knew that I had to finish this, my biggest goal in Runescape. And now, proudly, I can say I'm finished. :) Picture kinda ruined by some nub trying to sell me gold :P Always the combat nub, I barely got 2k total with that :P So here's the specs. 1)1-85 with No cannon. I was very poor at the time. 2)84-85 with piety-ing every task. Never piety-ed before or after that one level interval. 3)1-93 Slayer done even without the existance of Effigies. 4)No Chaotics. I hate dunging, and they didn't exist for level 1-93. 5) No extremes. Herblore didn't have much of a point 3 years ago to me. I'm pleasantly surprised with Extremes, but I didn't feel like spending millions on them. So yeah. I'm very proud of myself. :)
