What's so bad about it? I've seen people many a time giving putting it down, but I don't see why. Discuss.

It'd be easier to reccomend applications if you tell us what you're primary use for the computer will be.

I'm running a 32bit OSX Leopard on this iMac, though I may consider upgrading to 64 Bit Snow Leopard when it is released.

Sorry if I seem a little challenging or agressive talking about this, but really, bevelling is not good - there are many alternatives, the best examples I find, are here. ;)

I did say in the POTM2 thread that close up would be a better term, as I know not everyone has a macro lens, but you can still do very nice close-ups with an 18-55mm.

I'm not going anywhere this summer, since my parents are renting out our holiday home all summer to pull in some extra income. Might try and get a summer job so I can save up for a few things I've been needing for a while.

In my opinion, the last one is great. The rest of the photo's just seem slightly out of focus and a few where the sky appears, it's been over-exposed. Try playing with shutter speed and f numbers, you'll have much nicer results! GJ Shiny, it's great that you now have a camera
