Night panorama photo is best, you capture the moment perfectly.

For the tone, a few gradient maps and an exposure adjustment normally change the mood of the piece alot. Great wallpaper IMO, though the smudging looks a bit rushed IMO. Try the chalk brush for smudging, I noticed it can look great on wallpapers. Perhaps add a few wireframes/C4ds too ;)

Tree leaves are not a solid lump of colour, with a gradient.

It really looks to me as if you've had trouble with the hand holding the balloon. The best person to look at for anatomy of your hands is yourself - study how you clench your fist, or how you position your fingers and implement that into your work. GL, keep going.

Could you get a blurrier background? Seriously, it's terrible.
