I can't see your first image but I'm assuming it says your card isn't good enough. If that's the case, are your card's drivers up to date? If not then update them. Also try turning graphic acceleration or w/e it's called up. Right click on desktop, then properties, I think it's on the last tab; cant check right now as im on psp. And try installing latest Java if you haven't already.

You can use Windows Movie Maker... I've used it before to make some AMV's it's not really that bad, it should already be on your computer unless it's ancient.
