  1. Not a big turnout, but fun for those of us who showed up. No rare drops, but some decent drops were had (cannonballs, onyx bolt tips, etc). The good news is no one died, and that's an accomplishment at corp. Thanks to those that turned up, and let's hope for better drop luck next week!
  2. - Corporeal Beast (COINSHARE) - Time and Date Date: Saturday April 12th GMT (Greenwich Mean Time): 7pm U.S. (Eastern): 3pm U.S. (Central): 2pm U.S. (Mountain): 1pm U.S. (Pacific): 12pm http://free.timeandd...2T14:00:00/pa20 (Sorry, the normal countdown timer is not working at the moment and this one won't display here - click the link to see the timer) Server and Location - We will gather outside of the Corporeal Beast lair, world will be announced right before we start. Friends Chat: Komodo Jo ~~ This event will be CS (CoinShare) ~~ The Boss - The Corporeal Beast is the physical incarnation of the Spirit Beast, and is a very powerful boss monster. With a combat level of 210, it is one of the highest-leveled monsters in the game, tied with the God Wars Dungeon generals. However, the Corporeal Beast possesses a number of formidable abilities that distinguish it from other monsters of its level. It has very high accuracy, damage, and defense for its levels; it can devour Summoning familiars & it has damage reduction against nearly all sources of damage. Please Note: Gravestones do not appear inside the Corporeal Beast's lair. Items that are dropped on death become visible to other players after 3.5 minutes and disappear after 1 more minute. Inventory & Equipment - The most commonly used & accepted method of taking down the Corporeal Beast is with melee. Damage dealt is halved when using anything other than a spear, so the Zamorakian or Guthan's spears are highly recommended. Mage & Range can also be used but melee is preferred. - Melee Setup - Gear + Inventory: - Magic Setup - Gear + Inventory: - Ranged Setup - Gear + Inventory: * Please note the setups shown are just examples, but it's recommended to have gear that's level 70+ ** Staffs & Duel Wielded crossbows can be used also, just remember to change the abilities which correspond to your levels/ setup. Please DO NOT bring any familiars, the Corporeal Beast will eat them whole. :) Recommended stats are; 70+ in Attack, Strength, Defence & Constitution if you choose to opt with melee. 80+ In Ranged and/ or Magic is advised if using one of those two attack styles. Overloads help, SoulSplit too, but they aren't a must. Requirements Completion of Summers' End quest.
  3. Well, the event start time was 15 minutes ago, and no one's shown up, so I guess we don't have any takers this week...
  4. Was hoping someone else would be able to answer this for you, but I guess not. Unfortunately, I can't really help either - I don't think I've ever even worn my void since EoC. It's really a matter of whether it still gives a large enough attack bonus to make up for what it lacks in defense, and I don't know whether that's the case or not. Feel free to try it out, and if you're getting slaughtered then just go change into regular armor - it's not like banking during a corp trip takes a long time =)

  6. Week 1: (March 8th) Nex By far the toughest boss in the Godwars Dungeon, Nex is a challenge even for a group. TMHT aims to prove once again that we're up to that challenge, and hopefully we'll reap some handsome rewards for our efforts. Week 2: Armadyl GWD The range-based boss in the Godwars Dungeon, Kree'ara is Armadyl's titanic right-hand man, err, bird, err, bird-man thing. We shall clip Kree'ara's wings and hopefully go home with some nice splits of Armadylean gear. Week 3: Vorago No doubt the boss with the current best drops in the game, but these rewards come at a steep price. We'll do our best to conquer this massive beastie, or at least try not to die too much... Week 4: Corporeal Beast Once upon a time the strongest and toughest of all Runescape's bosses, the Corporeal Beast now ranks more in the middle of the pack at best. Still, facing this giant foe is not for the faint of heart (or low of level), so dust off your Zammy spear, give yourself a quick pep talk to bolster your courage, and join us in sending this monstrosity back to the shadow realm from whence it came (but hopefully not before dropping us a sigil or two!). Happy hunting!
  7. Since you're strongest in magic, you might want to try K'ril since he has a weakness to magic (fire spells). He's pretty easy other than his occasional smash attacks which can do 3k-4k or so damage. I'd suggest using blood barrage on him for the healing factor. Good luck!
  8. No luck this trip. The event lasted just over two hours, and we didn't get any good drops. On the plus side though, we also had no casualties at least. =) We must be saving up all our luck for next week's Armadyl trip - join us then!
  9. Zamorak's Fortress! K'ril Tsutsaroth (and his minions) - Coinshare Time and Date Date: Saturday, January 18th Time: GMT: 8pm US Eastern: 3pm US Central: 2pm US Mountain: 1pm US Pacific: 12pm Host & Friends chat: Komodo Jo [pending]red_1390075200[/pending] Server and Location We will meet outside the Zamorak boss room within the God wars dungeon. You will need 40 Zamorak killcount to enter the boss room, so be sure to plan time to do this before the event is scheduled to begin. Killcount can be had on low level monsters such as imps. See the tip.it Zamorak guide for more information. Coinshare will be enabled for the whole event. The world will be specified at the time of the event. K'ril Tsutsaroth K'ril is one of the highest level monsters in the God Wars dungeon, and should not be underestimated. He will focus on targets in front of him, and attack them with melee and magic, so at least one of these attacks should be blocked by a protect prayer. Additionally he can also poison his target, meaning anti-poison potions are advised. See his bestiary entry for more information. There will be TMHT members at the event who are prepared to act as the 'tank' so it is advised to let them engage K'ril first, and then you stand on a side away from them to minimize damage to yourself. All other players in the room will not come under attack by K'ril, however his minions can still pose a threat, so it is suggested to use Protect prayers/curses (which one depending on what attack style your armor is weak to) or soulsplit as needed while they are alive. Inventory & Equipment All set-ups should either bring a Beast of burden (such as a Pack yak/War tortoise/Spirit Terrorbird) carrying food OR use a healing familiar such as a Unicorn stallion or Elemental titan. Overloads can be downgraded to the appropriate boosting potions for your style. Antipoison potions are only required if you intend to tank K'ril, but it is suggested everyone have at least one just in case. Melee users should use Protect from Magic while the boss and minions are alive. Lvl 70+ armor is suggested. Remember a Zamorak item to keep you protected during kilcount. Magic users should use Protect from Ranged while the boss and minions are alive. it is suggested to use Subjugation magic armor, as this doesn't degrade, and also counts as a zamorak item for killcount, but it can be upgraded/downgraded as desired (lvl 70+ suggested). Kril's weakness is fire spells, but you can also use a Polypore staff as an alternative. Once again, remember a Zamorak item for killcount. Ranged users should use Protect from Melee while the boss and minions are alive. Lvl 70+ equipment is recommended. Make sure to bring plenty of ammo for the amount of time you plan to stay. Remember to bring a Zamorak item for killcount. See the tip.it Zamoraks Fortress guide for more information on tactics and set-ups Requirements 70+ Constitution 60 Agility OR 60 Strength. A Zamorak item (Zamorak arrow recommended) High combat skills will be beneficial. Combat gear matching your attack style (lvl 70+ gear recommended) Friends Chat Ranks The Main host will be the Chat owner, or will have a Gold Star in the chat. Silver stars are CO HOSTS. Bronze Stars are other TMHT members. Please note all three of these ranks will have the ability to kick members from chats, should we need to. If you need assistance, feel free to Private message a Host/Co-host, or ask in the chat. All leaders are happy to help you with gear choices and inventory setups, should you be unsure of what to bring. See you there! :D

Whenever I've solo/duo'd K'ril I just wore my best mage gear (lvl 70+ is fine), took my staff of armadyl, and used blood barrage. Use soulsplit and you can stay there pretty much indefinitely as long as you keep getting super restore drops. Not sure whether SOL or t70 dw would be better as I've barely done any duel wielding, so you might want to do a trip of each and compare. Anyway, he's a very easy boss and with your levels he shouldn't cause you any problems. Just take a bit of food for your first trip until you get used to fighting him, and keep your HP up - he can slam you for 4k+ with his special. Good luck!
  11. Not a big turnout, but we had fun anyway. We spent about an hour at the KBD without any good drops before deciding to skip it and go on. Then we went to the Exiled KQ and before too long got a Dragon Helm (which as it turns out doesn't coinshare anymore but we counted it anyway). Then we went on to the Corporeal Beast and spent a while killing him. We never did get a split, but with our small numbers and a few decent normal drops (cannonballs, onyx bolts, etc.) we still made a bit of cash. Thanks for coming everyone and enjoy the holiday season!
  12. Well, for the queen you need melee + either ranged or mage, so bring the Bandos/Korasi for her first form and then one of the other two setups for her second form. For GWD my hope is that we can all bring enough gear + supplies to stay there and hit all four in order without having to come back and bank, but if needed people can bank wherever is most convenient for them and head back out. We'll play that by ear based on turnout and how things go. There is no bank nearby so it's a matter of tele out, bank, return.
  13. ^Ya know Mere, not everyone's just trying to power-level as fast as humanly possible ;) In general I'd stick with the black sally, especially if you're using abilities and not just momentum. Crystal bow may technically be better, but probably not worth the extra cost. As far as armor goes, Karil's gear is also level 70 ranged armor and much cheaper than Armadyl. If you're absolutely strapped for cash you could just do the world event and get the hybrid armor from that. At lvl 75 defence it's got the same life points boost as Bandos/Arma/Subj. Robes and just a little lower armor rating, plus it's good for any attack style and it's free! (FYI, if you need to earn some cash you should come to the TMHT event tomorrow. Our events are mostly for fun rather than profit, but I generally come away from them at least a few mil richer :))
  14. Come one, come all to the Tip.it Monster Hunting Team's Holiday Parade of Drops! (COINSHARE monster hunting event) Date: Saturday Dec. 28th Times: GMT: 8pm Eastern: 3pm Central: 2pm Mountain: 1pm Pacific: 12noon AUS Canberra: 7am on the 29th [pending]red_1388260800[/pending] World will be announced just before we start, and may switch during the event as we progress! Host & Chat: Komodo Jo Event Details: What monster are we hunting you may ask? The answer is: all of them! How this event will work is a progression from one Runescape boss to another, only progressing once we've gotten a split (of any kind) from the current boss. The list below details how the progression will work: King Black Dragon Exiled Kalphite Queen (yeah, we're not gonna do both regular and exiled versions) Corporeal Beast Zammy GWD Sara GWD Bandos GWD Armadyl GWD Tormented Demons Dagannoth Kings etc. We will stay at a boss until we get a split of any kind (or get bored from lack of drops) and then we will go on to the next boss (pausing just long enough for everyone to bank and get re-geared). When we get to the GWD bosses I suggest everyone plan to bring gear and supplies so that we can hit all four in order without having to bank for new gear. Hybrid armor & beasts of burden may come in handy here. The event will last as long as people want to stick around and the number of bosses we get to will depend on our luck with drops and how long people want to stick around. Anyone coming late is free to join up with us at whatever boss we may be at at the time (just join the chat and ask where we are!). If we progress to a boss that you can't access (Corp, TDs, etc.) then feel free to chill out, wish us luck, and rejoin us when we progress to the nest boss. Gear: What gear you need will vary throughout the event depending on what boss we are currently at. If you need tips on how to dress for a boss please check out the various monster hunting guides on Tip.it or post questions below. In general wear the highest tier gear you have (70+ recommended) and use the highest tier weapons you have. We want quick kills so we can hurry up and get our splits and progress through the event! Note that for the GWD bosses I highly recommend bringing items to protect from aggression by all four factions, so that as we go from boss to boss you can safely get KC without having to keep banking. Here are a few quick general guidelines for each boss: King Black Dragon - Use any attack style, but be prepared for his fire breath attacks (take a shield & potion or super potion) Exiled Kalphite Queen - You have to melee her first form and either range or mage her second form, so take a gear switch Corporeal Beast - If using melee (recommended) you must use a spear. Guthan's Warspear or a Zammy Spear are good choices. Zammy GWD - Weak to fire spells, so mage with fire/blood spells is recommended Sara GWD - Weak to water spells, so mage with water/ice spells is recommended Bandos GWD - No weakness, so use your choice of attack style Armadyl GWD - Melee doesn't work here, so you must use range (recommended) or mage Tormented Demons - They switch protection prayers so you need at least two attack styles Dagannoth Kings - You will need all three attack styles here etc. - I doubt the event will last longer than this, but if it does and you need advice on gear we'll be happy to help! Have any questions? Please post them below! I hope you are all having a great holiday season and I hope to see you all on Saturday! Bring on the splits!

  16. Sorry everyone, I just realized that the US times (and AUS time) were off by an hour (and the AUS time was also off by three weeks...). The posting on the front page is also innacurate since it was taken from this post. That's what I get for editing an old template to make my posting... Anyway, everything above should match now (though the front page still has mismatched times since I can't edit that). Sorry for any confusion or inconvenience! See you all at the event!
  17. Ooh, they did? Didn't know that. Haven't been there recently. I'll assume it's been removed on Hard Mode too then...
  18. Saradomin GWD Hard Mode! NOTE: THIS EVENT IS COINSHARE Time and Date Date: Saturday July 6th, 2013 Time: 8pm GMT Other Time Zones: ***NOTE CORRECTED US/AUS TIMES*** BST - 9pm US Eastern - 4pm US Central - 3pm US Mountain - 2pm US Pacific - 1pm AUS - 6am (on the 7th) [pending]cya_1373140800[/pending] Server and Location Server will be announced just before the time of event. - Meet in the Saradomin GWD boss entry room. Please get kill count before the start of the event to be ready to enter at 8PM GMT. Host & Friends Chat Komodo Jo The Boss - Commander Zil'yana The best spot to get kill count is by killing any Saradomin follower, such as Mages, Warriors, Knights, and Priests in the main area near the entrance. Alternately you can enter the Saradomin encampment and get KC there. Note that any monsters attacked will target you (unlike before the EoC when they would stay in combat with any NPC's they were attacking). For this reason you may need some food/prayer while getting KC. Please note that if you die during the event your grave will spawn outside the instance, and so we cannot guarantee that your grave will be blessed! Please do not take any items that you are not willing to lose! I recommend having at least the 12-minute grave (preferably the 15-minute one if you have the requisite quests done) as you may have to hurry to get kc and return to your grave if you die! Inventory & Equipment Commander Zilyana is weak to water spells, so it is recommended to take mage gear and use your best water spell (or ice spell if you prefer ancient magics). You can use a staff for hitting heavy damage, or take a wand & shield for extra healing ability via the defensive abilities (resonate, regenerate, etc.). (Apparently she no longer has a weakness, so feel free to use any attack style). Make sure you have Zammy and Saradomin items for KC. Bring a one-click teleport, food, prayer potions, etc. You can bring your choice of familiar. Requirements 60 Agility or Strength is required to access the God Wars Dungeon. 70 Agility is required to enter the Saradomin Encampment. 40 kill count is needed to enter the Boss room. Saradomin and Zammy items while getting kill count Tactics Use soulsplit if you have it. Otherwise, use whatever protection prayer will help most with your style of combat (for instance, if you are maging you have good defence against melee but are weak to ranged, so use protect ranged). Use regenerate/rejuvenate to funnel your adrenaline into your health after the kill. In Hard Mode Zilyana will have higher stats than normal. In addition, after getting her red-barred once she will regenerate all her health. In this second phase she will summon lightning around ths room. Keep an eye out for this and try to avoid standing in lightning - you'll be hit constant 400-1000 damage hits as long as you stay in it. Once Zilyana is red-barred a second time, she must be finished off with an Ultimate Ability attack. Friend Chat Ranks The Main host will be the Chat owner, or will have a Gold Star in the chat. Hope to see you all there!
  19. Week 1: Saradomin GWD - HARD MODE! TMHT has been to Saradomin GWD many times in the past, but this will be our first event where we attempt to take on the mighty Commander Zilyana in hard mode! Come along and enjoy the slaughter! *Note: TMHT assumes no responsibility if it's US that gets slaughtered. Week 2: Kalphite Queen We return to one of the most old-school bosses out there this week. The tactics may have changed over the years, but the fun sure hasn't! Come along as we slay her majesty and hope to get a dragon chain or two, and perhaps a dragon 2h. *Note: TMHT assumes no responsibility if you get eaten. Week 3: Tormented Demons Come along as we do battle to some of the mightiest demons in Runescape! Possible loot includes dragon claws and pieces of the valuable dragon crossbow. *Note: TMHT assumes no responsibility if you are torn to shreds. Week 4: The Corporeal Beast Just last month the Corporeal Beast favored us with the largest single split ever in TMHT history. In the final month of July we return hoping that the terrifying beastie will again favor us with a sigil drop (or two!). Come along, cross your fingers, and enjoy the fun! *Note: TMHT assumes no responsibility if you are stomped flat, blown apart, and/or have the soul sucked out of your lifeless corpse. Happy hunting! ***Please note that all TMHT events are coinshare***
  20. Yeah, I've had that problem for ages too. I don't think it's the link itself that's broken though, maybe an issue with IE or something. Anyway, you can still access the coordinate locator itself directly at: http://www.tip.it/runescape/html/rune_tips_treasure_locator.htm Good luck with your treasure trail!
  21. The event is now over, ~4 hours after it began. We got a 9.1 mil Elysian Sigil split (as you can see above) as well as an elixir (90k if I remember right). Personally I also got about 1.4mil in drops, though those that were lucky enough to get an onyx bolt drop no doubt had more. Much fun was had by all, despite the numerous deaths. Everyone always managed to get back in time to grab their stuff, so no real loss there. We hope to see you all next week at Nex! It will be hard to beat the 10mil+ total we got at Corp today, but we'll try our best!
  22. As you can see, 15 minutes in we've gotten the biggest split ever for the TMHT!!!
  23. TMHT Corporeal Beast Trip Coinshare Date/Time: Saturday June 8th 7 pm GMT 8 pm BST 3 pm EDT 2 pm CDT 1 pm MDT 12pm PDT 5 am AUS (on the 9th) [pending]tur_1370718000[/pending] Host / Chat Channel: The host (and friends chat channel) for this event is Komodo Jo. The Corporeal Beast This monstrous creature is one of the strongest bosses in Runescape and is only accessible after completing the "Spirit of Summer" and "Summer's End" quests. He can hit very hard and has a very high amount of lifepoints, so is not to be underestimated. We suggest that you have combat levels of 80+, but lower levels are free to come if you care to risk it! Coinshare will be on for this event, so if we're lucky enough to get a sigil drop the value will be split between those in the room. Equipment/Strategy: The easiest way by far of getting to the beast's lair is using a games necklace. This will teleport you into the first room of his lair - he is in the final room. This avoids having to run through the wilderness to get to the lair. The Corporeal Beast has no official weakness, and thus you may bring any of the three attack styles as long as all your gear is of the same style (for instance, don't try and melee in mage gear, or range in melee gear). If ranging or maging we ask that you bring the best weapon and ammo/runes you can. If using melee you should use a spear, as non-spear weapons have their damage halved against the corp (though drygores may still be effective against him). As far as your armor goes, wear whatever you're willing to risk losing (as long as it matches your attack style!). When you die inside the lair you WILL NOT GET A GRAVE. Instead, all your items (except those kept on death) will drop to the floor, visible only to you for a few minutes. Make sure you have a stock of games necklaces in your bank so that you can quickly teleport back to the lair to retrieve your stuff if you die! More Information Note that completion of "Summer's End" is required to access the Corporeal Beast. The Main host will be the Chat owner, or will have a Gold Star in the chat.
  24. OK, so the final tally is: Bandos Tassets - 1.7mil Gloves - 1.2mil ---2.9mil total--- Zammy Shard 2 - 50k Gloves - 121k Gown - 2mil Steam Battlestaff - 69k ---2.24mil total--- So Bandos wins for highest total value, and Zammy wins for most splits. Thanks to everyone who came; hope to see you again at the next event!
