Drop Contest: Zamorak vs. Bandos Hard Mode Edition! We recommend doing so in a separate world, then hopping to the official world when the event begins. As always, the world will be announced when the event starts. The Bosses We will split into two groups: one will kill K'ril Tsutsaroth and the other will kill General Graardor. K'ril is weak to fire spells, so wear your best mage robes and use your best fire spells. Graardor has no specific weakness, so you may use any attack style as long as all your gear setup matches that style (for instance, don't wear ranged gear while melee'ing, melee gear while maging, etc). IMPORTANT NOTE: We will be using instanced GWD rooms to ensure privacy and so we don't have to worry about crashers or finding a free world. We will also be doing the HARD MODE version of each boss, so come prepared for a challenge! The hard mode uses some tactics and mechanics that are different from the normal version, so be prepared to learn and adapt if you're not experienced with the hard mode versions of these bosses! More Information Whichever faction receives the most money in splits will win. There is no reward for winning, except for the drops received and bragging rights. Both events will happen at the same time, so you cannot attend both. We will join the friends chat "TMHT Mere" before the event starts. Saradomin FTW! Still not very impressive drops, but we got a Saradomin Sword and a godsword shard at least, for a total of about 216k in splits (rather sad considering that's only a 5-way split - I didn't realize that SS's were under a mil each now!). EDIT: Apparently they also got a Saradomin's Whisper after I left (1.7m split I think they said)

Last time I was there (which has been a while) the poison damage hadn't been updated for the EoC and only did the damage it used to pre-EoC (which made it quite negligible). Jagex has been gradually going through and updating damage from various things including poison though, so I can't guarentee that they haven't buffed that yet.

Well, in the first several hours all we got was one D Helm split, so I guess that brings the total list of drops for the night to a disappointing 3 Dragon Helms. =( Hopefully we get better luck at next week's event!

King Black Dragon Slaughter! ~~~COINSHARE~~~ Time and Date Date: Saturday February 16th Time: 8pm GMT / 3pm Eastern / 2pm Central / 1pm Mountain / 12pm Pacific Friends Chat Host: "Komodo Jo" Co-host/s: TBA Server and Location See below for the details of the event. The world will be announced in the friends chat just before the start of the event. Coinshare will be on for the duration of the event. At the start of the event we will gather just north of the Monestary West of Edgeville. We will be using the teleport device by Edgeville to get to the KBD's lair. There are no requirements to use the teleport. This means no running through the wilderness, so you don't have to worry about PKers. The King Black Dragon King Black Dragon: He has freezing, poison, and strong dragonfire attacks, in addition to a standard melee attack. An anti-fire method such as an anti-dragon shield or Dragonfire Shield (or Super Antifire potions) is REQUIRED to fight him. For the best protection, use either Super antifires OR a shield plus regular antifire potions. In addition, antipoison potions are recommended. Inventory & Equipment If you choose to use the teleport from Edgeville, you will be safe from Pkers as it will drop you right into the KBD's lair. If you decide to go through the wilderness instead, beware of Pkers and only take what you are willing to lose! The KBD has no weakness, so you can use any combat style you like as long as you don't mix & match (such as wearing melee gear and maging). Players using melee should use protect from melee. Players using ranged or magic should stand within melee distance and use the protect from melee prayer or stand at a distance and then don't need to use any prayer. Alternately Soulsplit can be used instead of protect prayers. If using a shield remember to put some defence abilities (such as resonance or rejuvenate) on your action bar for some extra healing if needed! Inventory: Boosting potions, prayer potions, anti-fire potions, anti-poison potions, food, one-click teleport. Pretty much any familiars you want to bring can be used (but none are really needed). If you forget anything Edgeville is literally about 30 seconds away, so you can easily bank and return. If we get a decent turnout very little food will be needed, so don't bother completely filling your inventory or you'll just end up having to drop food to pick up any drops. Possible Loot Dragon Rider Boots and Gloves, Dragon Kiteshield Ornament Kits, or just some old-fashioned Dragon Helms and maybe a Visage if we're lucky! Depends whether you value a little extra defence or a +2 prayer bonus more (which will often depend on what you're fighting).

I left after about 6.5 hours. At the moment there are a few people still there, but the event is definitely winding down. The tally (in order): Saradomin Sword - 178k Saradomin's Hiss - 61k Armadyl Crossbow - 858k Saradomin Sword - 166k (These last three were almost b2b2b) Dragon Helm - 4k Saradomin's Murmur - 155k Saradomin's Murmur - 211k Godsword Shard 2 - 15k Saradomin's Murmur - 332k Godsword Shard 3 - 17k Godsword Shard 2 and Godsword Shard 1 in same kill (one off Zilyana, one off a minion) - 21.5k each Saradomin's Whisper - 790k Grand Total = 2.8mil in splits, and at least one of every rare drop other than the hilt! Zilyana is weak to water spells, so don't bother trying to range her. In addition, in general 1h weapons are far weaker than 2h weapons. Also, no, the ice spells do not freeze her in place, but on the other hand it doesn't much matter, especially in a mass. I checked her out last night and the recent NPC buff seems to have made her sergeants tougher but Zilyana herself doesn't seem to be any tougher. Prayer-wise it looks like you should use protect from magic if you don't have soulsplit.

Ummm, I'm confused... How is a question about what godsword to get a "Robes of Subjugation Question"?

As Tripsis said, absolutely anyone can attend. If this is your first time to the GWD, you might want to check out the GWD guide (http://www.tip.it/runescape/pages/view/god_wars_dungeon.htm) for basics on how everything there works, and how to get there (and not get completely owned when you do get there). Personally the GWD is one of my favorite places in Runescape, so come along and check it out! :)

To whatever skill is needed to get that adventurer. For instance slayer for the assassin, herblore for the botanist, etc. Kinda pointless if you have those at 99 already...

After a while some people decided to go to Corp, so we wound up with a sort of dual event. I've finally left Bandos after 6 hours, and while the event's "officially" over, there are still a few people left at both Bandos and Corp. Final tally of splits (as of 6 hours after event start time): Bandos: 2 Godsword Shard 3's 2 Bandos Gloves 2 Bandos Warshields 1 Bandos Tassets 1 Dragon Dagger (~2.3mil in splits) Corp: 1 Spirit Shield 1 Elixir (~153k in splits) Thanks to all who came, and good luck to those brave souls that remain!

Depends what you have. Subjugation robes, Ahrim's, Akrisae's, etc. are all good. No need for Ganodermic. You could probably come in Batwing or void mage and be fine for that matter since this is a mass. As for inventory, bring a bunch of runes, some food & prayer pots just in case, and perhaps some magic / extreme magic pots if you like. And of course always bring a one-click teleport of some kind. Remember you'll also want a Bandos item and a Zammy item at least for getting KC.

Bandos God Wars Dungeon General Graardor (and his minions) - Coinshare - Saturday, January 12th Time and Date Date: Saturday, January 12th Time: GMT: 9pm US Eastern: 4pm US Central: 3pm US Mountain: 2pm US Pacific: 1pm World: The world will be specified right before we start Host & Friends chat: @Komodo_Jo Co-hosts: TBD Server and Location We will meet outside the Bandos boss room within the God wars dungeon. You will need 40 Bandos killcount to enter the boss room, so be sure to plan time to do this before the event is scheduled to begin. See the tip.it Bandos guide for more information. Coinshare will be enabled for the whole event. General Graardor Graardor is one of the highest level monsters in the God Wars dungeon, but is rather weak since the EoC update. He will focus on one target and attack them with melee and range, so at least one of these attacks should be blocked by a protect prayer (or you can just use soulsplit). See his bestiary entry for more information (http://www.tip.it/ru...eneral-graardor). He does not have a weakness to any specific type of attacks. All other players in the room will come under attack from Graardor's Ranged attack, so it is suggested to use Protect from Range while he is alive (though in a mass this will likely not be needed). Inventory & Equipment General Graardor doesn't have a weakness to any specific type of attack, so feel free to come geared up for any of the three attack types (melee, ranged, magic). In any case, don't mix types (for instance, wearing melee gear and maging, wearing ranged gear and melee'ing, etc.). It may be easiest to get KC with magic using earth spells, as most of the Bandos minions have a weakness to earth spells. If you wish you could then just plan to mage Graardor as well. You may bring whichever familiar you wish, though beasts of burden and healing familiars will be rather unneeded and Graardor will likely die before combat familiars get a chance to attack. Bring some prayer potions and food for emergencies, but the altar and Regenerate should cover your prayer and health needs unless you are quite low-level. If you're nervous, bring along a shield so you can use Resonance and Rejuvenate to heal you if needed. If you're maging or ranging, make sure you bring enough runes/bolts/etc. to last as long as you plan to stay. Requirements 70+ Strength. 60 Agility OR 60 Strength. A Bandos item (or a dip in the Bandos pool in Oo'glog) and a Zamorakian Item for getting KC. High combat skills will be beneficial. Mage works fine against him, but because he has no weakness, really anything works fine on him now.

1. Staff vs. Wand+Offhand vs. Wand+Shield? ---Wand & shield for defensive healing abilities (resonate, rejuvenate, etc.) 2. If I don't have soul split and I'm wearing Ganodermic, what should I pray? ---No idea, I always use SS. Just see what you're taking the most damage from. 3. I have Reverance, Penance, and Vampirism, which would be best to use? ---Penance - it will give you basically free prayer for an hour. After that you can switch to one of the others. Yes, wands are still quite expensive, but you should be able to pick up a Grifolic wand for ~200k-300k As far as familiars go, you might want to go with a unicorn since you don't have soulsplit. If you find you're not needing it for healing you can always try something else, like a titan (or B.O.B. for longer trips if you like). I use ice barrage, ganodermic, grifolic wand & spectral, steel titan, dreadnips, etc. and can basically camp there as long as my prayer holds out (which, with penance & prayer potion drops can be quite a long time). Sara, Bandos, and Zammy GWD are all drastically easier post-EoC if you do them right (though kills take longer).

QBD is quite easy to get to phase 4 on now. At that point she starts getting tough, but you only have to get to phase 4 for the crossbow, not beat her, so you can tele out at that point if you can't finish the kill.

Just over two hours in, and here's where we stand so far, split-wise: Zammy - 1 Godsword shard, 1 Gloves of Subjugation, 1 Garb of Subjugation (around 600k in splits I think?) Sara - 1 Dragon dagger, 1 Saradomin's Whisper, 1 Armadyl Crossbow (just under 3mil in splits)

You can also bring antipoisons, but K'ril's poison was not updated with the EoC, so still only hits around 150 damage, which is barely anything nowadays (and the poison wears off quickly).
