  1. That was suggested once and quickly got a chorus of "not it"s. She's not very good for a mass, what with the slow spawn rate (and dealing out an annoying amount of damage even in a mass). Back in the time of the TET I'd stay for 12 hours at a GWD mass, but the time or two I went to a KQ mass I left after like 20 minutes... It winds up being a 10 second kill followed by 5 minutes of sitting around chatting and being bored... (and meanwhile her drops are terrible!) I'm not saying we'll never do a KQ event, but I sure don't want to host one...
  2. The event is officially over. We got a fair number of drops, many of them right towards the end. If I didn't miss any, this was our grand total: 5 Hatchets 1 berserker 2 archers 2 seers 1 seercull (which doesn't cs oddly enough) At the time of writing this there are still a few last diehard players fighting the DKS, so the drop list may go up from here. We had a lot of deaths, and a few people that died quite a few times, but overall it was a good trip :shades: Of course, those people who kept dying may disagree with me on that point... ;) Thanks for coming everyone! EDIT: I am told they got 1 more Dragon hatchet after this, for a total of 6
  3. What's wrong with the timer? I'm not sure how it can be off, GMT time-wise, as it runs on GMT time, and I set it for 8pm... I was also told that England isn't currently on GMT time, they're on BST time, so is that the mixup? If GMT is on BST time then it's all good. It's just weird, I live in GMT +1, so according to the date of the event should start at 9 P.M. But (If I calculate the timer correctly) the timer stops at 10 P.M at GMT +1, so it is a bit confusing. Agree, the timings are confusing. According to the timer the event will start at 9.00pm on Saturday night (I'm in the UK & hence on BST aka GMT+1 at moment) - can we confirm this is the correct start time. I normally go by the timer anyway, having turned up an hour early to the Zammy event !! Sorry about the confusion guys! I have clarified the intial post. It will start at 8pm GMT as advertised, so 9pm BST for those of you in the U.K. The timer and U.S. start times match this. See you all tomorrow! (or later today depending on your time zone ;) )

Dagannoth Kings - Coinshare Time and Date Date: Saturday May 12th Time: 9pm BST 8pm GMT Eastern - 4pm Central - 3pm Mountain - 2pm Pacific - 1pm Server and Location We will be meeting at the Waterbirth Dungeon entrance. The world will be specified at the time of the event. For those unsure of the basic mechanics of Dagannoth Kings, please read the offical Tip It guide: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=dagannoth_kings.htm The Dagannoth Kings: Rex, Prime, & Supreme These three kings of orient are are one of the more tactic-based bosses in RuneScape, each one is weak to a certain combat syle, Rex (Grey) is weak to magic, Supreme (Green) to Melee, and Prime (Blue/red) to Ranged. These bosses also use all three aspects of the combat triangle; Rex melees, Supreme ranges, and Prime mages. Once we arrive at the Kings' lair, and Coinshare is enabled, drink your potions and head down the ladder with protect from/ deflect magic enabled. From there we will proceed to slay the Three Kings for lewts! Friend Chat The main host is Komodo Jo Co hosts: Sylvette Inventory & Equipment Here is a basic Tribrid setup, you would start with a unicorn (or Healing Familiar, or beast of burdon summoned) Feel free to bring only one combat style, or all three! A cannon may also help, but is not really needed. Requirements The higher your stats, the better, but you will at least need: 43 Prayer 75 in Melee Stats 70 in Ranged/ Magic 52 Summoning for a spirit Terorbird helps a lot! About Friend's chat ranks The Main host will be the Chat owner, or will have a Gold Star in the chat. Silver stars are CO HOSTS. Bronze Stars are other TMHT members. Please note all three of these ranks will have the ability to kick members from chats, should we need to. If you need assistance, free free to Private message a Host/ Co host, or ask in the chat, all leaders are happy to help you with gear choices and inventory setups, should you be unsure of what you should be bringing. We hope to see you there!
  6. I have a work-related thingy to go to Saturday morning, so I may not make it to the Clan Wars part, but I hope to at least join you guys at Corp. I'll pop in as soon as I can. Everyone cross your fingers, toes, and eyes and hope for a sigil
  7. Is the timer correct? It doesn't match the time zones listed (some of them anyway). It's telling me it will start in just under 4 hours, which is 4pm CST / 5pm EST / 10pm GMT. Should we go by the times listed or the countdown timer?
  8. 500k+ per task, skipping all tasks that aren't dragons? 500k+ isn't all that realistic of a number. I'd say that 200k+ per task is more realistic. Well, I do have many of the non-profitable tasks blocked (Suqahs, Kalphites, Hellhounds, Terror Dogs). Looking over the list I suppose I do seem to get the more profitable things assigned to me rather often. In any case any task of dragons, wyverns, abby spectres, abyssal demons, dark beasts, or warped tortoises should net you 500k+ even without rare drops. Spiritual mages used to be on that list too as you could generally count on 1-2 boots per task, but with the current price of boots that's not enough. If you don't put the stipulation of "not counting rare drops" I'd definitely say my tasks average at least 500k+. Also, some of the not-so-profitable ones can be made profitable if you do them right (Greater Demons -> Zammy GWD, Dagannoths -> DKS, etc.).
  9. If you don't cannon you'll definitely make a profit. I generally make a minimum of 500k+ per task even if I get no rare drops (of course this wouldn't include things like hellhounds which have no drops). Even just a task of blue dragons can net you upwards of a million gp if you bank all the bones and hides. EDIT: Just noticed you didn't put your slayer level. What is it? EDIT2: Nvm, highscores say... 91! So yeah, at 91 you'll definitely make a decent profit (which you should kinda know by this point I would think...)
  10. I went ahead and used the summoning planner to get an idea of what you could get with those charms, and this is what I came up with: Gold: 100 Dreadfowl 50 spirit spiders 100 thorny snails 1750 granite crabs 2000 bull ants 2000 spirit terrorbirds Green: 4000 ibis 1000 fruit bats Crimson: 1000 stranger plants 500 phoenix 4500 praying mantis Blue: 1000 lava titans Result: Level 85 summoning! :shades: 1.8 mil shards used (45 mil gp at 25 gp per shard) (This doesn't factor in the cost of secondary ingredients of course) I basically just went with using the gold > green > crimson > blue charms in that order, picking things for a balance of reasonable price/usefulness/good xp. Depending on what pouches you actually end up making you could wind up with a higher or lower ending level. The price would take a bit to calculate, as it would totally depend on what pouches you make. Some secondary ingredients are under 100gp each, while others are 5k+ each, and others you can actually make money making the pouches but the seconds for those are generally untradeable so you'd have to gather them yourself. Basically, just start looking over the summoning guide/planner and start playing around with what pouches you want to make. Then add up the number of shards that will take and then the value of all the seconds and there's your cost (not counting trading in pouches for shards or selling pouches or whatnot). Bottom line: Start training your summoning ASAP! You can get quite a nice level with the charms you already have, and summoning will more than pay you back for the cost it takes to train! Good luck! :) EDIT: Just realized I plugged in an extra 1k crimson, so you wouldn't get to 85 with this setup. Still, you'd definitely get to 80+ #-o
  11. Well, the event's officially over. We started off with b2b DDS splits on kills 3 & 4, and then quickly moved on to getting the rings. Within about 20-30 mins we had a whole set of rings. By the time the event ended (after about 2.5 hours) we'd gotten 2 warriors, 3 berserkers, 1 archer, 1 seers, and 2 hatchets (plus the two DDS splits of course). For those of us who got all the splits, it added up to a total of about 515k. I got screenies of all the splits except the DDS's, but there are too many to bother posting :P Can't really beat 11 splits in 2.5 hours, can you? :shades: Thanks to all who came! My condolences to all who died!

  13. Do you have (or can you get) a Barrelchest Anchor? It's an often overlooked and much underappreciated crush weapon. It's what I used before I got a ZS/SS. I tested it against various options and found it to be better than anything else I could get my hands on at the time. If you can't even get that, then just leave waterfiends blocked. They're too annoying to fight without a good crush weapon.
  14. What's the chat for this event? Do I have to beat "Summer's End" before this event? *scratches head*
  15. So the event's finally over. I have one more split to add - towards the very end we got a chainskirt. A 3-man split of 4.6mil  Awesome ending for the three of us left
  16. OK, the event's finally over. ~3 hours 45 minutes total. Only split was a dragon dagger, about 705gp each. The remaining few are apparently heading out to do some Bandos GWD right now, but I'm calling it a night. People seem to have had a lot of fun, even though we didn't get a visage.
  17. We interrupt this discussion for a breaking announcement from our man in the field Komodo Jo: "This is Komodo Jo reporting live from the lair of the King Black Dragon where we are recieving a warm reception from His Majesty - very warm indeed! But also quite frosty at times. And occasionally poisonous... There are currently about 40 brave souls (plus Octarine :-P ) here fighting the King Black Dragon. Kills are taking about 2 seconds each, with no splits as of yet. No one has died here yet, though several poor lads got jumped by PKers when trying to join the fun. Our hearts go out to their families in this difficult time... Stay tuned for more breaking action brought to you live by the TMHT news team! We now return you to your regularily scheduled forum."
  18. Good to know I'm not the only one who will try this! Wonder how fast kills will be if everyone uses Keris... In my experience Keris (P++) > whip for Kalphite Soldiers, but it's too inaccurate for the KQ. Still, if you hit AND get a "triple-hit" you can cause massive damage, so it basically would come down to how often people were getting the "triple-hits" on her. You can do over 1k damage with one of those.
  19. The event has just ended after ~5 hours. I was one of the last 4 remaining. In total we got 1 SS split (300k) and one of each shard. We also got a dragon dagger split. I think we only had one death the entire trip, so that's good at least  If only Zilyana would actually drop things for us it would have been a great event instead of just a "good" event <_<
  20. <_< K'ril got lucky I tell ya! That's all there is to it... He'll rue the day he crossed me - I'll be going back soon for revenge! (OK, so I already returned and killed him some more during the event, but that's not enough!)
  21. Food? Sleep? This is Runescape we're talking about! Get your priorities straight!!! :P
  22. I'll probably come to both events, as they are both at times that work for me (and I can't pass up a boss hunt! :-D ). Bring on the hilts!
  23. Sorry guys. Had CS set but apparently logging out to worldhop reset it... So, besides that we got 3 Hatchets and 1 of each ring. Total CS of roughly 611,664 gp per person. Besides that I personally got about 1.6mil in drops (would have been more but I had a yak disappear and take all its stuff with it partway through). My analysis = good trip!
  24. Man, excuses excuses! :P Won't they let you take your laptop into surgery with you? <_< Seriously though, hope your doctors can get you all fixed up soon! Make sure getting better is your priority - we can manage without you in the meantime - it'll be hard, but we'll struggle through... ;)
