I would either go hand-to-hand with the criminal, disarming them then delivering a headbutt, not caring if I get shot (if they shoot, they'll likely not shoot to kill) or I would grab a sword and either cut them to pieces, scare them of or cause them to collapse in laughter.

Drake, I think you may be onto something with that aplied relativity solution. By using naturally occuring time dialation combined with technologically achieved time dialation we might be able to slow down time onboard several vessels by maybe down to 1/12, meaning we could give them one month rations while sustaining them for a year. I have an idea on how to do this: We know for a fact that time dialation naturally occurs inside vessels traveling at high velocities. We could create a device that surrounds ships by a field of Cherenkov radiation, thus increasing the speed of light around them. Doing so would allow the ships to move at >c without breaking the laws of physics and as a result either stop or reverse time within the ships.

But I've got an idea, this'll require both science, medicine and engineering. The first part is to develop a fluid that carries and recycles all the neccessary minerals and molecules neccessary for human life. As well it should provide a surplus of amino acids, glucose and adenosine triphosphate. The second part would be to develop a smartfoam EMS mattress. The third part would be to create a VR pod that uses both of those to sustain and train humans and other humanoids. The fourth part would be to hook up the VR pods to the AI in order to create a world identical to the real world in terms of physics and technology and generate random yet realistic missions.

Drake, I have already made a focused EMP turret, you can find it in the cargo hold somewhere, what it does is to knock out the other ship for two turns (I think), it can be fired once every three turns and has a... 1 in 30?... chance of hitting.
