  1. You don't try to land before engines are diabled, thus G-forces aren't a worry. And the entire point of them is not getting hit at all, so a stealth module would be better than a shield.
  2. I would say the shuttle is more like a heavy jeep, while it can be used in combat, it is not primarely intended for such and will be beaten by actual fighters. But the hoverboard isn't actually intended for combat... well, it is... but that's as a first strike.
  3. Icu, it's slightly larger than a skateboard and it flies at supersonic speeds (I guess), hitting that is going to be hard unless it is intended for shooting down missiles at long range. Nex, fast enough to decapitate anyone pushing their limits. Lee, you just pick up a gun, fly by someone and shoot them in the head. Or you can just dacapitate people with the edge of the board.
  4. As would it any small vessel, but the board is too small to be hit easiley. And for something soft to be in space with something liquid, gasseous or gelatinous inside it must be tough, else it'd tear.
  5. A specially designed slim-fit suit, it was however mostly made to allow stealth and good looks, though it must take quite a beating if it is to allow the wearer to survive in space, which it does (simulated).
  6. Faust, Archi told me that it was considerably better than our shuttles at all the standard scores. And the suit is the cockpit, you just gotta make sure not to hit anything solid at high speeds and you'll be fine.
  7. Faust, the main ion drive is located on the entire bottom of it, and the formards/directional drive is located in the rear. Simple designs work, don't mind such details though, they are much faster than the shuttles.
  8. Faust, incoming transportations trigger alerts, and there's no way a transporter could be used to place EMPs and resonators on the ship's hull (shields and such you know). Also in the future, weapons can be added allowing strikes to more critical, hidden areas otherwise nigh impossible to hit. Disorientation is not an issue, unless you manage to lose conciousness and you're abandoned, there's nothing to cause the blur, the stars will barely seem to move, and objects are rare. And of course that's what the grav plating and electromagnets on the boots are there for, if not for it one would simply be slung off when turning downwards.
  9. ACII and a game my dad wanted called Superstars: Next Challenge V8.
  10. Ion drives, pretty obvious choice since they are just a mesh of metal and electromagnets and their usefull size is meassured in m². And thy can be used as personal crafts efficiently both in space, on planets and inside buildings, though the latter would require training. They are also as a result of their size much easier to conceal and can as a result be used to sabotage enemy ships. They are also in general much better than the Unity's standard shuttles.
  11. Faust, that's up to Jeremiah. Jeremiah, think 30kT would be a fair price to test the hoverboards in normal circumstances? Also, remember that you, as an AI, with the right attachement, could use the boards at their full potential... at least better than human pilots, since your robotic body might somewhat impede the board.
  12. I now have a PS3.
  13. @Mather, you would need to remind me of all the things you have...my mind is mushing. Hoverboard with undergarment control unit. Slim-fit punk space suit. Mk II exosuit. Inverted scuba implant. Combat dragonflies. Spatial combat androids. Ship-to-ship gamma radiation weapon.
  14. What do you guys think about making a prototype of the hoverboard and space suit? That way it would be possible to work on tactics for things that would not apear in any perfect (simulated) conditions. Also, Archi, any chance you can tell me before the next session how much they cost to produce?
  15. Anyone else having issues with TIF? I can't seem to ever be able to enter/post on any topic/message on the first attempt, and I'm only getting this here, facebook acts fine.
  16. Archi, in my case the recurring headache was caused by sinusitis, the same might be the case with you. Just try some nasal spray and you should be getting better (as in getting rid of the sinusitis, plain old painkillers are faster at just getting rid of the headache).
  17. Yeah, I just tried making a thundercloud that I could make strike people, but when I told it to eat other clouds it went rogue, destroying whatever the first village was called. And after gaining scentience and power it was not in any way under my control, rather opposite it was commanding me to find it a body, which I eventually did. Then it left, never to be heard of again. I can only assume it started fighting the monsters of the appocalypse. With the power it seemed to possess one can only assume it was either strong enough to survive or smart enough to gain the allegience of the trapped demi-god.
  18. I just made a thundercloud elemental, it somehow gained sentience on its own when I made it eat other clouds.
  19. Lynx, I was the one you had to kill during your first session, but I was already as good as dead. We were still several sessions away from returning to the Unity and spinal surgery with a first aid kit was not an option. Archi, I summoned that thundercloud. How could controling it have been out of my league?
  20. Nero won't shoot me in the head?
  21. How many days have you had the headache? I've got the flu too, and I've had a headache for the last few days, feels like the left side of my skull is shrinking, putting preassure on my brain and eyeball. EDIT: I've come up with a good all-round alloy (before D20): Name: N/A Strenght: 16,2 Weight: 12,4 Flexibillity: 10 Melting point: 14,4 That's 60% crystalline, 40% monotanium. Should be sort of cheap (depending on the price of crystalline) and is better than titanium on all points except flexibillity, where it is equal. I would have used nanofibre instead of crystalline, but it is a non-metal.

  23. Archi, Nex, Earth...
  24. Occationally, but I've been stuck on my [cabbage]ty old comp for the last few days.
  25. They are infinite, they are generated in bulks as you aproach the end of the generated map, that's why the version from which they are developed is called infdev. If you get in a boat and ride it in one direction for a month or so, you still won't find the edge.
