It was the night of hallows eve in the small hamlet of Taverly. The moon was bright, and the darkness envoloped the stars as a veil does a face. Fireseeker was tucked up tight in his bed, alone as usual, sheets over his head as if to keep out the evil that sorrounded him. A distant howl rang out across the land. The wind blew past the trees and the leaves rustled on the dark hidden ground. Then, suddenly, as if by magic (it was) the night lit up a wonderful green. A cackle could be heard all the way in the distant city of Ardougne. Fireseeker pulled the sheets further over his head, but his urge to investigate was too strong. He picked up his whip and his defender, grabbed his hellcat, and clambered down the moonlit stairs to his portal. The wind was chilling, and he found himself pulling his cloak further round him, partly because of the cold, but also the fear he felt inside. Without looking back, he stepped through the portal into what lay beyond... Outside it was colder than ever. The wind whipped past his face at such speeds you can not imagine. And there, infront of him, was a sight that brought fear to the strongest warriors hearts. A real live witch. Light was leaving her hands and lit the sky that strange green that had awoken him. The witch had not yet noticed him, so if he was quick he could nip back into his house before she saw him. But something compelled him to stay there, something he couldnt describe. So, instead of fleeing like many wouldve done, he stayed there and watched this amazing yet undescribingly frightning sight. Then, as sudden as it had started, it stopped. The witches hands fell to her sides, and she looked around, and caught site of Fireseeker. Paralysed with fear he couldnt move. He ccould hardly breath. He couldnt take in anything, only the witches eyes. Then, a flash of light struck the witch down. Fireseekers trance was broken, and he manged to look round at his savior. But, without having one second to think, his vision went dark and sleep returned. Who knows what he might find when he wakes up... TO BE CONTINUED! :ohnoes: Please say what you think. More to come if you like it! :-k This is part 2 This is dedicated to my main, Fireseeker10. He was permenantly banned on the 27th of July. Fireseeker slowly opened his heavy eyelids. He could only vaguely remember the night before. He slowly sat up, and looked around. He was in a small village next to a house, and to his left was what seemed to be a bank. He looked down at what he was lieing on. A tattered, old table. He turned to look behind him and got the fright of his life. There was a woman there, her eyes widened with horror. Startled, fireseeker fell off the table, and hit the floor with a thud. She bent over him and opened her mouth as if to speak. Her breath stunk of garlic and her teeth were yellow with rot. she spoke in a whisper "Ya cant trust 'im i tells ya, ya cant trust 'im!" Then she sat back down in her chair. Suddenly a door flung open and a wise old man stepped out. In his hand he held a [bleep]ed staff, and on his head he wore one of those cheap party hats you get out of crackers. He turned to the women and said "Im getting quite fed up of you Miss Schism." He pointed his pointy staff at her and clapped his hands. Next thing he knew, she was gone. Then the wise old man turned to Fireseeker and said "Right, now shes sorted, lets go inside shall we?" He then turned briskly away and stepped back into the house. Fireseeker decided he had no choice but to follow him. Inside was a total tip. There were bookcases dotted about the place with books that dated back to the 2nd age. Old peices of cheese lay on the floor and one time fireseeker thought he saw a half eaten pie. The wise old man was sat in a chair on the other side of the room. Fireseeker picked his was across the cheese strewn floor to the wise old man. Just as he reached the other side he stood on something. He bent down and picked it up. The front cover said "Cooking for Dummys". He dropped it down again and turned to face the Wise Old Man. The Wise Old Man said "Im sorry, forgot my manners. Would you like a seat?" And within one second of him saying that, a chair appeared. Fireseeker reluctantly sat down. The Wise Old Man spoke first. "So, young man, may I ask your name?" Fireseeker replied slowly, as he was making sure the Wise Old Man could hear (You know what old men are like ) "My. Name. Is. Leo. But. My. Friends. Call. Me. Fireseeker." The Wise Old Man looked at him for a moment then spoke in a sarcastic tone. "Sorry son, didn't quite catch that, could you say it a bit slower please?" Fireseeker looked stunned, then when the Wise Old Man laughed, he caught onto the joke. He opened his mouth but closed it because the Wise Old Man was talking again. "Ok, well i'll call you Fireseeker because I believe I could become a good friend of yours. You may call me Oldy." Fireseeker sat still for a moment then asked the question that had been on his mind since he woke up this morning. "Why have you brought me here then Oldy? I know about the witch and all, but couldn't you just let me go home?" Oldy spoke in a hushed tone as if someone was listening "I believe you could be the one we've been looking for. There is a legend, but it is in bad condition. In short it says 'Guthix will return to Runescape in a mortal body, and balance will be returned. Great fire will burn and war between light and dark will halt'. I believe this mortal is you." Fireseeker just sat there, shocked as hell. How could this be true? He was just a warrior, living life as others had. But if the words Oldy spoke were true, then what would happen next. But, just as he was going to ask Oldy all these things the door burst open. 3 men dressed from head to toe in red Zamorakian robes stood there. In there hands were staffs in the shape of horns. They looked very menacing and Fireseeker could feel his hellcat, Grilled Cheese, trembling. But before any of the Zamorakians could make a move, Lightning flew from the sky and struck the one closest to Fireseeker down. The other two reacted firing flames at Fireseeker. He dodged to the side and managed to avoid them by about an inch. He heard Oldy shout over to him "You take the left ill take the right." Fireseeker did not hesitate. He flicked up his whip and lashed out at the mans chest. The man dodged back and set out a flare of red at Fireseekers head. Fireseeker raised his defender and the flare bounced off and crashed into a bookcase. Books flew into Fireseeker and the man, causing them to stop combat for a moment. When the books stopped coming Fireseeker was the one to move first. He flipped forwards kicked the man backwards into the wall and lashed at the mans neck. The man parried it, but before he could attack Fireseeker lashed again. This time the whip wrapped itself around the mans neck. Now Fireseeker knew it was won for him. He manouvered the whip in such a way that he heard a satisfing CRACK. He withdrew his whip and the man slumped to the floor his neck broken. He turned round and saw Oldy send out a beam of light towards the Zamorakian he was fighting. There was a scream, and then silence returned. The mans bones clattered to the floor, and Oldy slumped back into his chair. Fireseeker turned to face him and with the gruffest voice he could manage said "I think you got ALOT of explaining to do." And thats the end of part 2. I hope you enjoyed. Part 3 will be coming soon. Please say what you think. Im aching for your response. Part 3 is here Read other two parts first Oldy spoke back quickly. "Fireseeker, I will explain, but we are not in the time or the place." Fireseeker was starting to get angry now and his reply showed that. "I dont care, we just owned those dudes so i dont see why we would be in anymore trouble." But just as he said it, a loud bang came from outside causing the floor to shake violently. Oldys reply was much faster than last time, and Fireseeker could hardly keep up. "Those men were not the force, they were the scouts. Now the force is coming, and time is short. Can you teleport?" Fireseeker still hadnt caught on and spoke with a huge amount of thought. "Why would you need to know that? I mean, hows that gon..." But he was cut short by another bang, louder than the one before. This time Oldy only said one word "Idiot" and then clapped his hands together. Next thing Fireseeker knew he was in a room with a man sitting on a throne in the middle. The man looked slightly shocked at the sudden arrival of Fireseeker. He waited a phew moments, then turned to oldy who had just appeared there. "Oldy, what is the meaning of this! You know I expect you to knock before entering. I could have you beheaded in an inst..." But he was cut short by oldys rambling explanation. "You see your highness, this is Fireseeker, the one I told you about. We were attacked and we had to escape quickly so I sent him here as I thought it would be the safest place." The King stared at oldy for a moment before turning back to Fireseeker. "So, you are the one weve been looking for. You look a bit ordinary to me." Fireseeker opened his mouth to reply, but oldy interuppted hastily. "Look, Roald, we need to get him to safety, and fast. Can we save the chit - chat till later?" King Roald seemed to have caught on now and became much more serious. "Of course, that is of the highest priority. We must get to Reldo quickly." King Roald stood up, and headed towards the door. Oldy grabbed Fireseekers arm and pulled him along. They ran quickly to the library, and barged through the door. Reldo looked as if he was going to completely flip, but the King spoke too soon. "Reldo, quickly open the portal. Its an emergency." All anger forgotten, Reldo quickly ran to a bookcase, took out a rather old book, and started reading out loud. Slowly, the room seemed to disappear, and then Fireseeker was falling, falling through the air, wondering when he would hit the floor. Suddenly, his feet hit the floor, and he stumbled wildly forwards. He then bent over, and was violently sick all over the floor. After Fireseeker had finished being sick, he looked around at the others. Neither of them had been sick, and were looking at him patiently. The moment Fireseeker straigtened up, King Roald started moving, and Oldy beckoned him. They were walking very quickly down corridors, turning this way and that. Eventually, they turned a corner into a rather magnificent hallway. The walls were lit with vast numbers of bright torches, and they were trimmed with what looked like gold. On the ceiling was fabulous art work engraved into the wood - Which looked like mahogony. Fireseeker was so engaged in looking around, he had stopped. Next thing he knew Oldy shouted over "Hurry up you great lummox! We have things to do!" Fireseeker quickly hurried after him through some great double doors and into what looked like a dining room. Tables were laid out with rows of food, and seated by the tables were thousands of armoured knights. Fireseeker followed Oldy to a table at the front of the room. He sat down, and Fireseeker stood there awkwardly - Should he sit down. Then King Roald spoke "Sit down Fireseeker" so he pulled out a chair and plonked himself down next to Oldy. King Roald stood up and tapped his glass. All of the knights turned to face him, obviously waiting for something. Then King Roald roared "Let us eat!" All the knights span round to the table, and the eating began. After a huge feast of 8 courses, Oldy turned to Fireseeker and said "Now I think its time I explained everything to you..." Thats the end of part 3! I hope you guys enjoyed it, even after the huge wait Part 4 coming soon! Part 4 is here The short wait makes up for the long one Fireseeker leaned eagerly towards Oldy. Oldy took a sip of mead, cleared his throat and began to speak. "Long ago, when this world was at its very beggining, three gods roamed the Earth - Saradomin, Guthix and Zamorak. At first, they lived in harmony, creating life as we know it. But then that day came. Zamorak had wandered from the other two. He was stepping slowly through what is now known as the wilderness. The woods back then were amazing. Soft breezes rustled through the leaves of the trees. Grand yew trees stood proud, a nest laying up in the highest branches. There was no lava, no darkness. As Zamorak strode through those woods, something caught his eye. A glint of something dark, but yet it shone like the stars in the sky. He walked over to it. At closer inspection, he discovered it was a box that fitted into his two cupped hands. He studied it carefully, letting his hand run over it. Suddenly, he felt a pulse take over him. And again. It made him think things of evil, and suprisingly, he liked it. He lifted up the lid, and power flowed through his body. He had become evil itself. He had an idea. He would kill the others. This was the day the wars began. Saradomin was Zamoraks first target. Zamorak struck him down with a flash of red. But Saradomin did not die. Because something had to oppose dark. Light. Then Saradomin felt the same rush as Zamorak, but the opposite. He stood up and sent a flash of light at Zamorak. He blocked it, and the fight continued for an age. Guthix fled, and while he hid discovered the powers of balance. Here he slept, while the Wars of the gods, or the God Wars, continued. Then when Guthix awoke, he put an end to the wars. But before he left, he left behind some scrolls. These are known as the Chronicles of Fire." Odly take another long gulp of mead, and waited for Fireseekers response. Fireseeker was as puzzled as he looked. Finally, he spoke "Whats that got to do with me?" Oldy took a bite of some left over chicken and spoke again "The Chronicles of Fire are about an adventurer, one by the name of Fireseeker. They say he will bring about the end of the God Wars, as the blood of Guthix runs through his veins. The adventurer shall have made a mark on history, and he shall be masterful in the ways of magic." Fireseeker was filled with excitement. If this really was him, he will be all powerful! He turned to Oldy eagerly and said "So, where do we start" Oldy led Fireseeker into a chamber just south of the dining hall. Inside was artifacts - Loads of them infact. He led Fireseeker over to the far end of the room, where some robes lay in a case of marble "These robes were said to only fit the Guardian of Balance. Many have tried them on, but they fitted none." Oldy carefully opened the case, and produced the robes. They looked extremly valuable. They were black all over, with what looked like chainmail also merged with the robes. There were lines of green running from the arms and the sides of the bottoms, and from the center of the hood, into a green symbol in the middle - The symbol of Guthix. Oldy handed them to Fireseeker, who quickly slid them on. They fitted perfectly, and he suddenly felt more powerful. He turned to Oldy and said "So no weapon then? Id love some huge sword that could crush a dragon in one" Oldy shook his head and said "The only mention of a weapon, is that any weapon wielded by the Guardian will become insanely powerful - I believe your whip will do" Fireseeker slowly unraveled the whip which he had tied around his wrist, pulled out his defender, fastened on his fire cape and said "So, when do we start".. To be continued!!! If you like it, please let me know. If something could be changed, I still want to hear. Part 5 coming A.S.A.P
