Yelling "Fire!" in a movie theatre isn't protected free speech. Advocating criminal acts in a public square isn't protected free speech. Inciting a riot isn't protected free speech. Monitoring a service like twitter or public facebook groups for people inciting violence, in my opinion, is very similar to policing a public square. There is no expectation of privacy on twitter (or public facebook groups), why should police have to obtain a warrant?
  2. The funniest part about "Legalize it, regulate it, tax the crap out of it" is how the argument ignores the fact that there is an entire black market of people already buying, selling, transporting, etc. They don't care about the law, why do you think they'd start caring once it is legal?
  3. The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town by John Grisham. It is a pretty sickening must read.

Sucks bro. Today, I have a friend over. We'll be playing Yu-Gi-Oh and other children's card games for the next 10 hours or so. See you then, OT. Trust the heart of the cards.
  5. As a counter culture, we should substitute our own vowels in... I'm in favor of an "in" or "un" sound... pwined or pwuned. EDIT: As in, "HAHA that punk just got pwuned by that rabid honey badger."
  6. As far as I'm concerned, anything I put online about myself, or anything that anyone else puts online about me is public record and knowledge forever. It is the same for a forum, I don't control where/how far my post goes after it is put online.

In U.K.: Talk Of Banning Masks, Blocking Text Messages Talk about an invasion of privacy. At least they haven't declared Martial Law.

That would make sense then. If there was a small chance of wrongful prosecution I wouldn't support that.
  9. I was upset with FB once. I deleted my profile. Problem solved. It'd be more valuable if Anon promoted profile deletion. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=16929680703

What does it take to be convicted? "Beyond a reasonable doubt" like in the US, or some other definition?
  12. ^That said, I'd like to interview the mod that currently plays the game, or is top of the hiscore for their employee personal account list.
  13. Darn. EDIT: Does that include when the quote tags are properly used? Do you know how it works when they post?
  14. Is there any way to have quotes from an ignored user hidden?
  15. Its probably been half a year since I've seriously dunged, but my defense level is atrocious. When I wasn't with skillers or was with the general public, the plate made a huge difference in that I wouldn't die when running into a room with 5+ level 40 or higher guardians. Unfortunately it didn't make a hoot of difference when faced with a T11 mercenary...
  16. I wouldn't want MMG because recently he's had more exposure than everyone else. That said, he'd probably be willing to give an interview more readily than any of the Gower brothers.

Looters: break 1000£ windows to steal a few 10£ gift cards.

Not sure if any of you have heard this, but I find it infuriating to say the least:
  19. Nice job, looking forward to bribing you in the future.
  20. Years ago when I had a fresh copy of XP on my system, I uninstalled IE6. XP broke, I think it uses it in their file management. IE needs to stay on windows, its pretty infuriating. Luckily you can change settings to make another browser your default.
  21. What's even more f-ed up is my dad and mom use thunderbird for email... Finally got rid of the SOB virus. Now that everyone is asleep, I'm installing IE9, firefox 5, java update ?, and all the neglected windows updates. This should keep them happy for another year.
  22. I'm pretty ticked off right now. Family computer has a virus, I get blamed because I installed firefox a year ago. Flash drive went caput when trying to kill virus. Why can't people be computer literate?

Saw this on Drudge. Top 5 sports and leisure items (differences) for the UK on Amazon are (drumroll please) Baseball bats. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/movers-and-shakers/sports/ref=zg_bsms_tab
  24. Started Atkins again. Cookies are my biggest weak point, we'll see how well this goes. Trying to stay on Atkins until next January... Going to be difficult with Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Gosh darn candy, cookies, and mashed potatoes!
  25. When the White House announces the POTUS will make an announcment at 1:00 P.M., and he appears and begins speaking at 1:53 P.M. When the POTUS makes a speech and the DJIA drops 100 points... during the speech. Yeah, thanks. High five everyone, we're doing the double dip.
