  1. And yet you fail to ask yourself, "Why would a prison guard admit to breaking the law?"
  2. You conveniently left out I don't know why I bother responding. Even if you posted irrefutable evidence that there is no torture in China, it doesn't change the fact that you were poking fun at other people's misery.
  3. If/when the common knowledge thread gets stickied, I don't look forward to the abrasive "RTFM!" (or in this case, "RTCKT!") for answers to questions posted by new users.
  4. I'm not sure what you're asking... The burden of proof when people make absurd claims is what I'm specifically referring to. Does that help? No, I was wondering if you could give me a specific example. Are you talking about the moderation, or just general posters, or what? "Chaotic Crossbow with Rigour is faster dps than a Chaotic Rapier with Turmoil" "No it's not." "Prove that it's not" Prove that it is. In any event, the one making a claim has the burden of proof.
  5. But that's exactly what they're promising with this update long-term. Pay more = get more. But seriously guys, you should just pony up the money. Gosh it feels great trolling members the same way they troll us f2pers.
  6. Would love to watch a riot about botting. My bet is that many there will use an autotyper. The irony.
  7. I think a worthy challenge of my time is to get all buyable skills banked. [hide=Cost Calculations:] Prayer - 806,262 big bones @ (250, 300, 350) each - 202M/242M/282M (Already ~10k banked) Magic - included with smithing Smithing - 136,356 mithril ore, nature runes, x4 coal @((180,140,800), (215,165,900), (240,190,1000)) each - 153M/175M/195M Firemaking - 59,647 yew logs @(350,400,450) each - 20.9M/23.9M/26.8M Crafting - 242,554 uncut sapphires @(550,600,650) each - 133M/146M/158M (Already ~12k banked) cooking - already banked Estimated GP needed to raise: 509M/587M/662M I think my bank is worth about 160M right now, (santa hat +40M various objects). I think it would be a pretty big accomplishment. [/hide]
  8. "Your account" isn't yours at all, its the property of Jagex. You can't give "your account" away, because its not yours to give. And typically when you die you'll find yourself in lumby or fally :twss:
  9. Rule of thumb: New content released is always P2P. When Jamflex says "Available to all players," it means p2p only. When Jamflex says "Available to members only," it has the off chance of including F2P. Yeah that makes sense.
  10. Well, at least you're not laughing at them.
  11. Boo hoo. Now he can't cast.... wait no, never mind. A more appropriate punishment would be to put it at -1m xp. Grind your way out of that, nub.
  12. I think we can all agree that we need to tax the rich more. When the U.S. finally scares away all the rich people, we'll all be equal.
  13. What about petitioning the government because your local government is corrupt? I didnt know they had state and local governments I thought everything had to go through the central national government in china. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Administrative_divisions_of_China
  14. I'll try to answer your question as best I can (I'm having a hard time understanding what you're asking, but maybe I can help) - With a standard computer screen, the graphics plane does not translate directly to the traditional Cartesian coordinate system you learned in math (y axis is flipped). The point (0,0) typically corresponds to the top-left corner on your screen. For a display that is 1920x1080, the point (1920,1080) typically corresponds to the bottom-right corner of the screen. The form for these points are generally understood to be (X,Y). When programming in Java, you might stumble upon the AffineTransform. If you're using an AffineTransform, visible screen coordinates can be negative. Hope this helps.
  15. As a prisoner at the Jixi labour camp, Liu Dali would slog through tough days breaking rocks and digging trenches in the open cast coalmines of north-east China. By night, he would slay demons, battle goblins and cast spells. and We kept playing until we could barely see things. Somehow, just somehow connotes to me the idea of sleep deprivation (it appears I'm not alone in this). But I don't care about the semantics of this - I take issue with you laughing at the mistreatment of others.
  16. What about petitioning the government because your local government is corrupt?
  17. "We kept playing until we could barely see things" which is not supported elsewhere in the article.
  18. Oh yay! A new "angle". Shall we argue about your definition of "camp" now? Or shall we merely agree to disagree that this is something "lost in translation" as related from the original source? As a prisoner at the Jixi labour camp, Liu Dali would slog through tough days breaking rocks and digging trenches in the open cast coalmines of north-east China. By night, he would slay demons, battle goblins and cast spells. I'm not sure how many ways there are to interpret that.

By night, he would slay demons, battle goblins and cast spells. I'm not sure how you can interpret this any other way than they were sleep deprived.
  20. You haven't posted anything in your criticism that leads me to believe that you've read the article. "This sort of subject just doesn't stimulate that sort of debate unless you're in a programming forum with people like :geek: . " Let me be blunt. My article is not about programming. The first two paragraphs are about programming, in the context of explaining why the game is the way it is. Everything after that discusses how several aspects of the game might change if those programming limitations were removed. I don't have the luxury of assuming that everyone reading my article will have the same background as me, so I do my best to bring them up to speed. If you have the same background as me, or already understand the information I'm presenting, then yes, it might seem a little dull just as if someone tried to explain addition again. I can write a troll article and get about 14 pages of discussion on how wrong I am. I don't measure my success by how much time I have to use to defend my position. "Your article sucked!" "Did you read it?" "No." wat
  21. Then what the hell does mean? It means he has poor eyesight? It means the computers had poor graphic cards? It means that his graphics settings were too low for him to handle the gaming environment? No - wait! It means you're making something up! It wasn't in the article? Why would you quote it multiple times?
  22. Then what the hell does mean?
  23. It's not even in the article!
