The diversity of all these answers is really great. :) So... what drives me? I am driven by the gratification. When you slave over a goal for a long time, or what may seem like a long time, there is nothing better than the end, when you can sit back and look at what you've accomplished for yourself. I am inspired by random people, whom I will never officialy meet. Their visible accomplishments give me ideas of my own. The initiative for me goes hand in hand with my drive.

I would have to agree with the enternal forest... Very peacefull. My other favorite places are around the Baxtorian Falls, and the bars around the world are very nice too... if only I could utilize the chairs... Keldagrim is also a favorite of mine.

Many of us have set great goals for ourselves in the game, and many of those goals have been accomplished. But what is it that inspires these goals, what gives you the initiative to set them, and what gives you the drive to accomplish them? Maybe you were inspired by someone you looked up to, or maybe you just simply wanted something and worked for it. Whatever the cause or reason, share it here. What inspires you? What gives you initiative, and what is it that drives you to the finish? Also, feel free to share any reasons why you might have stopped at a goal.

I have a strong feeling that dogs will make their way into the game as a player-pet very very soon. Ever since this picture was discovered on the knowledge base, hundreds of threads have been posted on the official RuneScape future updates forums, discussing pet dogs and using the bulldog picture as proof. The thing is, no J-mod has stepped in to tell everyone that the bulldog was not intended to be a hint of pet dogs, and that nobody should get the wrong impression. A j-mod will always say something like that if people are getting the wrong impression, just as one did just this month. I believe it was Mod Mark(?) that replied to a forum about this months up-and-comming runecrafting update, which was anticipating the blood and soul alters. He clearly stated that the update will not involve these alters, but "that doesnt mean Jagex forgot about them". We can all expect pet dogs... :D

Hmm.. long time since i looked at this thread... The other day I was walking around with and eventually a beggar got on my tail. I decided to send him off with 1k, and he replied with "thats it? Thanks for nothing!" -.-

I totally agree with you, naturally. Many people push the idea on Jagex, but they don't seem to pay much attention to it. Although, thats how it is with many ideas that players come up with, and we know that just because Jagex doesnt show interest, that doesnt mean there isnt something being worked on.

The idea is a bit of a stretch, but I hope something is done with the bird eggs SOON!

As of late, nobody knows. Jagex's priorities are lost in the eyes of the common player. Recently, most of the game updates revolve around lower lever players, with easy quests, in-game help such as the town crier, and skill tutors. There are some great accomodations for the more experienced players out there, such as Barbarian Training and the up-and-comming God Wars Dungeon. I am grateful for all of these updates, contend level regardless, and I appreciate Jagex's effort to my fullest extent. However, are these things really what everyone wants? How about what they need? I believe that Jagex needs to focus more on the Bits and Pieces project, and start to listen to everyone's common interests, not just the single good ideas floating around in the suggestions forum. Im not saying put a kibosh on Jagex's plans, as we all need the new content to keep the game exciting. However what we need more are updates which please everone and improve the game. Everyone wants to be able to sit down in the chairs around RuneScape, so give that to them. Those who don't wont have to. Everyone wants a way to message their friends who are offline, so give it to them. Again, those who don't wont have to. It's all in the player best interest. All in all, the ideas which many, many people are suggesting and pushing for should be looked at first. The extravagant updates should come second. What do you think about Jagex's priorities? Are they in the right spot? Should they be improving the game before adding to it?

Mind you, I did say that this whole method should be done in small quantities. I never said to cut 1k mage logs, pick 1k flax, spin 1k strings, make 1k bows, etc, etc.
