RIP Runescape
Poisonous. Must be handled with care. Could explode into a bomb of verbal abuse if not properly cleaned, braised and grilled. Serve with a side of mashed potatoes and cookies. Listen to keyboard cat as you eat.

Manga/Anime Discussion
I attempted to read it, but when it got to the main characters childhood it went on forever and I got bored. Finished watching Trigun. It was pretty good, but I don't know why it places so high on a lot of people's favorite anime lists. The ending just sucked, the last episodes got kind of boring and not as exciting as the beginning. Anime's I need to watch: Cowboy Bebop Tenchi Muyo Big O Ghost in the Shell Trinity Blood After those I'll find some others.

Runescape? Comunication? WTF!!
Oh wonderful, another new TIF user here to complain about the new update. 1. "IT'S NOT THE SAME THING ANYMORE!!!! I USED TO HIT 20'S, NOW I HIT 200'S!!! OMG WTF!!!! WHY NOOBS HIT 20 NOW AND I CAN'T?" How does it not feel the same? You hit 180 more points than noobs. If anything, you should feel more proud that you can hit 200 than 20. It will take a while to get used to, but the logic is sort of missing here. 2. "WHY THEY CHANGE? NOOBS FAIL, THEY NEVER COMPLAIN! THIS IS STOOPID!" No it's not. While one of the reasons was to see what you really hit and to make it easier for new players to feel better in the game world, it was also, as Jagex has said, a jumping point for new items and has something to do with the new skill. And it's not because new players were complaining about hitting zeros, it is because they were actually hitting point something. 3. "I IZ MAD! I WANNA SEND SPAM TO JAGEX!" Jagex doesn't want to hear your complaints because they will bat it aside like a fly. There is no reason to complain about something that is not affecting the game in any positive or negative way. It may be positive in the future though. T They don't post an email probably because they are smart, and they know that all they will get is spam from idiots who can't get over a small change in the game. 4. "I HAZ TO COMM THRU TEH FORUM?" Even this is bad. The RSOF is a cesspool of idiots and I don't know how often Jagex actually reads through all the crap. They probably don't need your spam emails because they see all your spam threads on the forum. They can see you're angry. They don't need twenty emails each containing one letter that spells out something along the lines of "[bleep] you Jagex I quit" because they can easily see it on the forum. 5. "I SEN BUGZ REPORT! TERMITES ETING ALL TEH WOOD!" I don't know if you'll get a mark against you for not using the bug report for what it is supposed to be used for (And if you wish for me to clarify, it is to report a bug...but not the spiders outside of Lumbridge, I mean glitches or that sort of thing), but I don't think sending a mad email at Jagex through the bug report will make it go to the people who actually want to read it. If anything, I would assume the bug reports go to the techies or development team, not the people who relate problems people have with the game at meetings. 6. "WHEREZ TEH POLES ABOUT WE LIKE UPDATE? IS IT AT SANTAS HOUSE?" Quite frankly, a pole doesn't matter. They don't need a pole to see that a discontented few can't get past a minor update to the game, they don't care that you can't get over this minor update. If you had real gripes with it, like it makes fighting a longer process or it makes the game slower, then I can see how they will listen to your complaints. But complaining for no reason but to complain, with no logic to back it up doesn't add up to a real problem. It just shows that a lot of the fanbase of Runescape is made up of babies who don't like change. Here are what all the people complaining about this update sound like to me.

RIP Runescape
Explain to me the debacle? I have no clue what is wrong with it, they do it in quite a few games, unless there is a major problem with it that I haven't heard of then I think it's a good idea. If Runescape is dead to you get over it. Quit mourning for a fallen comrade, because all it does is make it harder to cope with your loss. If you want to complain about how Runescape has changed that is one thing, but writing one sentence that makes no sense and complaining about the smallest of updates is stupid. The opinion that the new hitpoint system is destroying the game is idiocy, plain and simple. It destroys absolutely nothing. Runescape's fan base is sadly made up a lot by 4 year olds who cannot cope with change, and the smallest change makes them cry. Let's all remember the tirades when Jagex changed the game's font. Are you going to start riots and petitions and quit the game over the font? That is idiocy, while it may be your opinion, it is stupid to leave the game for such petty reasons as Hitpoints having an extra number or the font changing. They are small updates that are trying to help players. The only people who diligently complain usually are the people who have played for years. Which is sad, because as a person who has played Runescape for years, I personally can find worse instances in Runescape's history, worse bumps in the road than a font change or hitpoint update that led to many people quitting. But when you are quitting because you cannot take small changes to the games engine, small changes that affect nothing but what you see on the screen, make nothing harder or easier. These updates recently have become the jumping point for petitions for main moderators to step down because of their idiocy, large riots for no reason, huge spammings throughout the RSOF and every other RS forum. Do you see what I mean. This is small compared to what they have done before and to quit and complain is stupid. This update has not affected the game at all. It has added one extra number. The extra XP weekend I have not paid attention to, so if you want to tell me what some of the problems are then I would be glad to hear you out. All I hear anymore on these forums are complaints about new updates, rarely do I hear about things as a whole. And it is usually the same people who complain, the same people who can't jump over the small obstacle known as change. Life is about change, what is going to happen when these people get out of their mom's houses and have to live on their own? Are they going to rant that they are going to quit life because they have to work for their GP and their Life Points are slowly deteriorating? Yet you continue to complain about the game, even though you quit? If you quit over these petty updates then you need to reconsider what you've been thinking. Is it worth quitting a game you apparently love over the smallest update that hasn't been used to it's full potential? And riots don't make me laugh, they make me question the IQ of humanity as a whole. Jagex doesn't care. They are going to continue doing what they do, unless they see a huge decrease in people playing the game, they are not going to fix what is ultimately not a problem. And if you are a regular complainer who didn't see this coming, didn't think Jagex would screw up you're an idiot. I don't mean I think Jagex screwed up, I mean that you personally think Jagex screwed up. Those who continue to play because you expect the game to go back to whatever the hell you remember it to be (I remember it being a bot infested, scammer infested, cheap Java based game. Hell, it's still a cheap Java based game) should have quit a long time ago. And here is a quick idea, remember that, as I said, this is a cheap Java based game. They have room to change things, to do things they want to do because they don't have a player base of 16 million people. They have room to mess around. If a couple people quit the game over an update, more people come in. I mean, think about it. If a game like WoW changed its hitpoint system think of the giant riots, the mass hysteria that would explode because of it. They would lose tons of people, major sources of income. Jagex could probably financially work around a small portion of their income leaving, because where those people who left the game went, more will come in. In other words, player-wise and financial-wise, Jagex has room to experiment, to try new things. I am also sure though that they didn't think such a huge uproar would happen over these small updates. Those are just my ideas. I just don't see the point of complaining about something that is ultimately not a problem. This is what all the complainers sound like to me (I am going to use the same points on all the threads about this, and this same video because each thread can easily be counter-ranted using the same points and examples). I actually believe that 14 was announced right around the same time 13 was. And a lot of people were wondering why the hell they were talking about 14 when 13 wasn't even out.

I agree. More Half-Life, less other Valve stuff.

RIP OLD SCHOOL
That was because that was when you just started. Everyone sort of felt like it was an unexplored wilderness when first starting. When you know where everything is on the map, it kind of loses that... I don't see the relevance of this. It'll never feel like an unexplored wilderness to be anymore just because I know the map and there is nowhere I really can explore anymore and feel like it is unexplored.

Harder to Kill Things Now
There is absolutely no change to the pace of fighting monsters. I don't understand what the hell you are complaining about. Maybe raise your strength, attack, and defense level and you'll be able to kill whatever is giving you a hard time?

RIP Runescape
And Dragon Age: Runescape, and Final Runescape. Apparently you haven't played too many RPG's because this is the system used in almost every one of them. And it apparently works since it is used in almost every one. And I don't see how the new lifepoints system has turned it into WoW. Last time I checked, they were still quite a bit different from each other.

RIP Runescape
What goes into you peoples thinking process when you write these nonconstructive rants? Are you just trying to get a rise? Or are you serious? Because Jagex adds extra numbers to life points we must go on a trollfit? Why are you complaining about something that ultimately is not affecting anything? Dear god, extra numbers on the screen making brain hurt! Runescape dies because there is a new hitpoint/attack point system? Are you seriously this dumb? Give me a couple reasons this update to lifepoints is the death of Runescape. Give me two good reasons. It will be hard to, because there are no good reasons. I can see how people think the end of the world was coming about back during the PK update, but to think that the sudden inclusion of two extra numbers every time you hit something would cause such an idiot uproar. Runescape is not dead because of this update, and anyone who thinks that this is the worst update and the death of Runescape might want to grow a brain. This is nothing compared to some things Jagex has done, but of course, we can't look at the positive side. With every update we must complain. And then we must pour off the RSOF to rant stupidly on TIF. If you must complain every update about Runescape then get off the game, because it is apparently not for you. If you are going to fight for the next month over a small update that affects absolutely nothing, then maybe you should quit. This update is not there to hurt your brain by adding more numbers to the game, it is there to give Jagex room to do more with the game. New items and the new skill are apparently tied into this update, so why not shut up and see what positive things come out of this update. And please quit with the RIP topics, because all they are are troll rants with no reason behind them. Runescape will continue unhindered by your idiocy. Give yourself time to get used to it. That's all. As was said with the PK complainers, adapt to change or leave. If this update hinders the game experience that much, than leave, because complaining gets you nowhere. It let's off steam, but starting riots and everything these people have been doing does not make Jagex change their mind. Whether you like it or not, it's here to stay. It is not the death of Runescape, it is merely another improvement, another step forward. Complain when you have valid reason to complain, at the moment there is no reason for your complaints. See if the new skill and weapons are worth these updates before crying.

new hitpoints(lifepoints)
And every update has to accomplish something? This update did accomplish something. This apparently has something to do with the new upcoming skill and new weapons that are coming out. It hasn't been a day, and people are already complaining. There are logical reasons behind the update that are all lost because you apparently can't stand having a couple extra numbers appear on the screen. It's pathetic if you are letting a small update to the HP system get to you, a change you should be familiar with if you are a person who plays RPG's.

new hitpoints(lifepoints)
Hey, um...welcome to the forum. I'm assuming this is the only time we will see you, just to troll over something that shouldn't bother anyone. Maybe you should also get rid of the excessive amount of smiles as well, as they add nothing but a distraction to your post. Let me explain to everyone something. The game is not going to end because Jagex decided follow in the footsteps of every other RPG on Earth, whether it be console or PC based. By adding more numbers to the formula, apparently Jagex has done something terrible by doing something so small and easy to get used to. Dear god, I now have 600 life points instead of 60 hit points? Dear god! The world is going to end! As foursideking has said, my only real problem is the fact that they changed hit points to life points. It reminds me too much of Yu-Gi-Oh. Otherwise, all the people starting riots and everything are apparently giant idiots and attention mongers. The update may be a much larger scale change from usual updates, but it overall does not add or subtract from the game, unless your a noob and can see that you are actually hitting monsters. It's a basic addition that makes it easily accessible to players who have come over from any other RPG, or people who play RPG's as well as Runescape.

Jumping back and forth between the Rurouni Kenshin anime and Trigun. Trigun is pretty awesome, and so is the Kenshin anime, minus the voice actors, most of whom I don't feel fit the characters.

The Official PS3 Thread
Just beat Heavy Rain. It took about nine hours. This is a game that is definately not for everyone. It is pretty slow, and takes quite a while to get anywhere. The characters are amazing, the use of live action to create the action makes it just so much more great, the big reveal of who the origami killer is shocked me. The use of frantic button mashing and such showed the frantic state of characters, and really made this game just so much more amazing. Some hiccups with sound were spread out throughout the game and it froze on me twice. Overall though, I had so much fun and thought the story was so fascinatingly complex.I think this is going to be one of those games that nobody played, but helped change the face of gaming.

The Official PS3 Thread
To me, personally, I hate the Xbox fanboys who make fun of every PS3 owner for wasting their money. They apparently cannot accept the fact that the PS3 is picking up steam and gaining sales steadily. I was on an achievement hunter video yesterday, but instead it was called Trophy hunter for the day, and it was for Heavy Rain. Every Xbox fanboy complained that Rooster Teeth had betrayed it's followers by posting a PS3 game on their profile. It turned into a huge flame war in which Xbox owners hoarded every PS3 owner they could and tried to bring them down. People were comparing Heavy Rain to a cheap version of the Sims (Apparently, they saw the first two seconds of the video, but were so disgusted by the amazingness of the PS3 that they quit watching). I think it's the fact these people haven't actually played a PS3 and can't accept that there is a console on the market with more potential for growth. I've already heard rumors about an Xbox 3 for gods sake. Did anybody watch The Testers or whatever that stupid downloadable reality show was on PSN? If you want an opinion, it was pretty stupid.

RIP OLD SCHOOL
I completely take this back. It was harsh and not what I really meant. My fault. I really meant to say that your opinions aren't changing mine. Go ahead and post your opinions if you want. Some of your posts just seem to come across as "you're wrong and i just proved it, so gtfo the forums!" So you are saying that "The point of this thread wasn't to hear your opinions" does not at all imply that which is actually implies? That it doesn't mean what you meant? It's hard to believe that you actually mean that, especially since you are basically apologizing about this fact. Here's the thing, we know our opinions won't change yours. We are just here to point out the flaws in the thinking and logic of your opinion and get flamed for our opinion.
