  1. I just did not enjoy Unreal Tournament 3. I am trying to get a copy of it just to try it out again, give it another shot, but I agree with most people who have played it. It was weak. The story should not have been there. The hoverboard was a terrible addition. I hated most of the maps. And all of my least favorite game types came back from UT2004. I do think they should make a new UT, and I think Cliff Blezinski (However you spell it) should head the production staff and try to recreate what made the original great. Smaller maps, a much more basic set of games, and get rid of having the stupid story about the Skaarj and such.
  2. Here's the thing: -if you enjoy Nintendo's main offerings like Zelda, Mario, Metroid, etc. then this is the perfect console for you. -If you like playing games with friends that are a bit more simple and even your friends who don't play games can get into it, then the Wii is for you. -If you find yourself wishing to play classic Nintendo games, then the Wii is for you thanks to their downloadable classics. -If you are a fan of hardcore, rated M, bloodbath kind of games, don't buy a Wii. -If you are looking for a hardcore experience in general that doesn't involve a Nintendo franchise everyone knows, don't buy a Wii. -If you are looking for a good online experience, don't go Wii. -If you like puzzle games, the Wii has quite a selection of decent ones. The Wii is something I don't like because I play online with my friends, not together at a party or something, and I haven't enjoyed the core Nintendo franchises since the N64, other than Metroid.
  3. See, I never really enjoyed some of the modes that were introduced to 2004. I liked attack/defend or whatever it was called, especially the train level. That was great. But the one where you have to shoot the ball through the portal wasn't great. I liked the pretty basic stuff in Unreal Tournament. CTF, DM, TDM, KOTH. That's all I need. Online, UT2004 is fun, but it seems like everyone plays Facing Worlds or Two Worlds or whatever that one is called. I haven't played UT in quite a while, I need to play it again.
  4. While I know these games are ten years old, Unreal and Quake games are still classics. Well, the old ones anyway, Unreal Tournament 3 and Quake for the 360 sucked. This is a pretty old question and back in the late nineties it was a fairly large one for PC gamers. Are you a Quake person, or an Unreal person? The problem with this question though is that I am conflicted between the two. I am playing the original Quake right now and find that the level brevity, the environments, and the enemies look so much better than Unreal. Unreal is a good game, don't get me wrong, but Quake feels a bit better and isn't as confusing with the levels. While both Unreal and Quake feel like they could have come from the same guy, Quake is a bit better for me. Unreal has some great levels and maps, but Quake feels a lot more like one of my favorite FPS games, Doom. Then we get to the arena shooters. Quake 3 is good once again, but Unreal Tournament I think whoops it up and down. I like Unreal Tournaments maps better and it's online is great. While on the subject Unreal 2 was not a very good game I thought. Unreal Tournament 2004 was decent, but UT3 was pretty bad. Quake went downhill as well. So, for arena shooting, I go Unreal Tournament, for just a plain old shooter, I go Quake. Any other opinions on this subject, or is this something I should have asked ten years ago? I don't even know how relevant these games are to the newer generation of Halo and Call of Duty players. I mean, I am that generation, but I enjoy these games much more.
  5. God, back when you couldn't hack down a tree because a bunch of bald level 3's named jfoasf54415 were running around with their dragon axes. Yeah, the autoers were terrible back then. Why people are calling each other autoers now when I don't think I've seen or heard of one since they disappeared off the face of Gielnor I don't understand.
  6. But he didn't come out of Eva. That was explained by Eva I believe in 4. Solid and Liquid Snake were both birthed by her like regular babies, though they were still clones. Solidus I have no clue about. The whole plot hurt my brain.
  7. [spoiler=Unreal Tournament] name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>&hl=en&ap=%2526fmt%3D18"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>&hl=en&ap=%2526fmt%3D18" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"> UT is probably from countless hours of playing it for longer than is good for me.
  8. I wouldn't randomly pick me the week of 25-31 because I'll be gone with no computer for that whole week. Telling you just in case.
  9. I never played subsistence, but MGS3 snake eater didn't feature raiden, or even snake. It followed the events of big boss, which was cloned later on into solid snake, liquid snake and solidous snake. MGS2 is the one with raiden doing naked cartwheels. I've played through all the games, but are you sure Solidus was a clone? I thought he was more of an imitator. Because Big Boss even said that Eva birthed Snake and Liquid after they were done messing with his sperm and the DNA of the babies. I don't remember Solidus being mentioned as a clone. And MGS2 would be the one that made no sense for a variety of reasons and you battled small Metal Gears in a large Metal Gears anus. Riveting stuff.
  10. I lol'ed
  11. Haha. I wouldn't bother with one. I own one and pretty much never play it. That's pretty much my answer. It sits and collects dust. I did play Wii Sports with my grandparents though at our Fourth of July party.
  12. They sounded fine until the guy started singing like he was a pirate. Then it went downhill and to me sounded like some god awful parody. I hate most metal nowadays besides Lamb of God and Nile. I'm more of an 80's metal guy. I personally love Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Slayer, some Metallica.
  13. I lol'ed for a minute. Because it's just so typical. I may have quit Runescape, but that's just how I remember it.
  14. It's funny because I'm listening Cory Hart's Sunglasses At Night and then the two guys above me are wearing sunglasses. HAHAHAHA! ha....
  15. To top it off, Bieber is Canadian. That's true! God, it's pathetic that here are all these soldiers at the fireworks, and we don't see any sort of band striking up the armed forces songs and songs for fallen soldiers during the presentation period. We get Justin Bieber singing. I mean, they play some patriotic songs during the fireworks, but I feel it would be much better for the whole thing to be patriotic, not another way for NBC to earn money from every girl in the country tuning in for Bieber. One of the ways of being patriotic for this country is to follow it's capitalistic ideals, no? Truth be told.
  16. Man, for fathers day at the movie store they had ten copies of the first two Mortal Kombat movies bundled together and the guy at the store told me and my mom they were perfect movies for dads, and that I would probably enjoy them. I told the guy I'm not stupid, I've seen them. They sucked. He kind of walked off. I hate stores like that. This looks like something I would take my father to see though. I really enjoyed all of it. I would definitely see this and it looks like a really good step for the series to go.
  17. Confessions: I am in ROTC and over the summer have let my hair grow out and haven't shaved in two weeks. If my teachers for ROTC are TIFers, they are currently coming to my house to strip my rank. My sister likes Hey Monday. She thinks I do too. It's only because I think the lead singer is kind of hot. I've attempted to read Twilight. I read a whole vampire romance novel two years ago. I am not proud of it.
  18. I tried to watch it a while back. I liked the style, but the story is boring and I really never liked it much. Anime purists at some places say its great, but purists for pretty much any art form can shove it where the sun don't shine.
  19. Only one I agree with is the White Album. Otherwise, not my kind of music.
  20. To top it off, Bieber is Canadian. That's true! 21. Oh hell. I'm at home watching the New York fireworks on TV but I first must endure a performance by Justin Beiber. George Washington is probably rolling over in his grave. "Celebrating this fine day, this celebration of America with a young man named Justin Beiber. Lovely! Let's see what he sounds like....OH MY GOD! He's smaller than Napoleon, sounds like my wife, and his songs sound like the things my great(x12) granddaughter listens to. And he writes it? WHAT HAS AMERICA COME TO?"
  22. I wouldn't say it was awful. Taken for its merits, it's decent. But taken as a sequel to the originals it was pretty bad. Same with Attack of the Clones. Boring and not really that great of a Star Wars movie, all right if you subtract Star Wars from it. Personally, I enjoyed Revenge of the Sith. I found the final fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin to be pretty awesome. Hell, all of the movie was action and it was all pretty good. In my opinion it's the best of the prequel trilogy. Then again, I think George Lucas has lost it. With the Star Wars prequels and Indiana Jones sequel, I think it really shows that he is not as much a pioneer as he was in the eighties. It was the great story and characters of those two series in the 70s and 80s that made them what they were, they were family friendly adventure. And the special effects being as good as they were helped too. Anymore CG renders all of that useless and very few people can be awed at special effects when they are not done using models or the stunts or whatever are not actually done and instead CGed in. That's why Jackie Chan movies really appeal to me, he does his own stunts and its more authentic. There is no CG to make it into a cartoon world. Star Wars and Indy had the very exciting special effects and action scenes that few could produce back then. Now anybody can with a computer team to back them up. Movies, to me, just don't have the magic they used to have.

Terry Pratchett writes fantasy books, I can't describe them. The're all different, but they're always full of comedy, awesome stryines that really hook you and strangely enough, philosophy. And he can still pull off amazingly serious storylines, that are still hilarious. See: Night Watch, Thud. :3 Picked up some random David Eddings' books. Just spinoffs to the Malloreon/Belgariad series, and some stand-alones. Also, starting on the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, by Stephen R. Donaldson. Got the FIrst Chronicles (3 books). Looking forward to it. :3 Thomas Covenant are severely depressing :( Finished 61 Hours by Lee Child and moving into The Passage by Justin Cronin. Then The Hellfire Club by Peter Straub. That's all I have planned at the moment.
  24. I swear to god that the guy who did Sony's press conference at E3 said there would be some free PS+ in the form of a free month to see what you really get. I have no clue if it's even worth it though.
