  1. Agreed. My friend got me number eight and I hated it. This guy hit everything I hated about eight on the head. http://spoonyexperiment.com/category/final-fantasy-viii/page/3/
  2. I believe PS3's automatically shut off when they overheat, and after cooling down there is a specific way to press the power button. I don't know, mine hasn't overheated yet. I hope mine doesn't break because my dad told me not to buy a warranty on the thing and instead buy games.
  3. Explain to me the epic. I tried to read it but was quite confused. I know Dante was not a crusader, and wasn't Beatrice going to heaven and he wanted to get her back or something? And some Greek poet was following him around. I read quite a bit of the epic, but it never made any sense to me.
  4. I mostly play Plunder, so you will most likely find me on that playlist. I haven't played that because I always enjoy team deathmatch over anything else. Halo 3, Unreal Tournament and now Uncharted 2 are my favorite team DM games. I guess it's because I suck by myself. :???:
  5. Yeah, just add Newge4, I don't play much on weekdays, but I occasionally play on weekends.
  6. Yeah, still, they are both pretty much a copy+paste of the other one. Completely disagree. Oblivion and Fallout 3 are completely separate. They do look somewhat the same, but the way you play is much different and I found Fallout to be a much darker game. Cannot see how you can say that when God of War is the exact same thing. Slice up a ton of bad guys, fight a giant boss battle, and you could ride cyclops's around. It's a complete rip-off if their ever was, and how you could even say that you hate God of War but think this will be epic is beyond me. Dante's Inferno has potential, but it is the exact same thing as GOW, I'm assuming it will be a bit less polished and epic as God of War 3 will be though. When a person's first post consists of a nonsensical sentence, some botched form of writing towards the end, and a link, I tend to not click the link. As I said, it has potential but the demo felt so much like god of war. The setting was different and it was pretty fun. It will probably be worth a rental, but I do think it's an appetizer to God of War 3, which will rip this game's face off and eat it while mercilessly pulling every arm and leg from it's body and beating it's body with said arms and legs.
  7. I totally agree. He has the best skits and has always been more funny than the other late night hosts IMO
  8. I've been slogging through the Naruto manga, and I wish someone would friggin' die. Zabuza dies all lame, wanting his little boy toy by his side when he dies. And then he holds hands with the kid who looks like a chick. Seriously? We can't kill off a kick-[wagon] character in a more...I don't know, kick [wagon] way? And why aren't ninjas all sneaky and secretive. They are all out in the open saving cats from trees and fighting in the streets for crying out loud.
  9. Sorry haven't updated in forever! Now you're teleported to a small island in the middle of the sea about the size of an American football field (in other words, not everyone else's football, or as we yanks like to call it, soccer). A small pirate shipwreck is at the tip of the island that may contain some sort of treasures.

As with most skills in the game, woodcutting is a grindfest. All you have to do is click on a tree over and over and then take the logs back to the bank, it's not that hard. It just takes a long time because what fun would it be if it took three hours to reach 99 woodcutting and everybody had that skill maxed? EDIT: 2500 posts. :^_^: I guess that's an accomplishment of some sort.

Comparing player moderators to the Gestapo? Seriously. I don't think I've ever encountered a corrupt player mod. The last time I saw one people were hoarding him in F2P Varrock, but he was answering questions about the game that lower levels were asking. He was very nice, and while not all are like that, I think comparing them to the Gestapo is going a bit overboard.
  12. Well, as I said, that's the exact problem with this game. Everyone treats items as something they can make profit off. In my opinion Jagex should make most higher level armours/weapons untradeable once you bought them. It would prevent other players from manipulating or "merching" those items, and would give us a more stable economy because, unless you've been living in a cave for the past half year, you should have noticed that runescapes economy is [bleeped] up. Why did I say "merching"? Because merching died when GE entered this game. Before that you had merchants buying up small amounts of items/resources from other players, then selling those in bulk for profit. Nowadays you just put an offer in GE and watch the money flow in. You're even helped by GE graphs, which make it all so easy that any 5year old can "merch". You think it's not a big deal? As I've said before, look at the rs economy, not hard to see that you're wrong. This game is based around money, not skills. In my opinion that's not what Jagex intended runescape to be like when they created it. Feel free to ignore everything I said, I honestly don't care. I agree a lot with what you're saying about the economy, I'm just using the GE like a lot of folks to make money through buying up on stuff that'll go up in price. Yes the economy sucks, and sure the GE is a major contributor but unless Jagex bans selling stuff for higher prices later, or fixes the GE, poor people like me are going to use it to upgrade their armor and stuff. I do agree that a lot of higher level stuff should be untradeable, but I am just referring to smaller scale stuff like runes and mithral or adamant armor. I can see why you're complaining about higher tier stuff like god swords or expensive armors. I took it that you were complaining about everyone doing it, but if you're exclusively complaining on the fact that because of the buying and selling of expensive armor the economy is not being helped, I can see where you are coming from. My runes and armor I rarely am able to sell for five GP more. I merely meant that by buying up 1000 law runes from the money I made fishing, I would be able to easily sell them later when they go up five GP in price and make an extra 5K. If you look, the F2P environment has always sucked and has always been based on using skills to get money, because it was the only way to make big bucks. As a F2Per, I never exactly have experienced this economy decline, just because most F2Pers have a hard time making money and so have to skill to do so. Since my major means of making money is fishing, I spend most of my time on Karmaja dock, but if I see an opportunity to make some extra money, however little it may be, I'll take it to put in the bank for some extra towards my god armor or whatever.
  13. What if you are poor, like me, and end up buying armors and selling them for a bit more to make an extra profit? It's the fact that some people need to make a profit in order to buy things they need. For instance, I buy up on runes in order to sell them when the prices get high. Why's that? Because I can make a profit. Who cares that I don't need them, especially in F2P it's hard to make a lot of money and finding a buy/sell method has always been the best way for me to personally make money. I'm sure P2P is a bit different, but if you want extra money in you're pocket, it's smart just to buy up on stuff you know will jump in price sooner or later. Kind of like real life. Sure I fish a lot and woodcut a lot for profit as well, but this is another easy way for a F2P person to make money. In other words, it's another strategy to get money. I don't know how it can annoy you when it is really only an individual sort of thing. The prices going up and down could annoy you, but I don't see how the way people use that to make a profit could annoy anyone. Maybe it's the fact you hadn't thought of it before everyone else, but it's just another strategy to make a couple bucks. It would seem fairly obvious why I'm insulting you. 1. It really doesn't effect you in a positive or negative way unless you are doing this. 2. It is another way to play the game. Some might consider it taking advantage of the GE, but it isn't that big of a deal. And your statement also had nothing to do with the topic at hand. I believe, if it bothers you, it should have been made into a thread, not pull this topic into a completely different direction.
  14. Haven't heard the song at credits in forever!
  15. ^^^ And how exactly does this pertain to the topic at hand? This one sentence is the biggest failure on this thread, which is bad because there have been many failures. I don't even need to explain how bad this one sentence fails.

The only resemblance I really found between it and DMC3 was the difficulty. DMC3 was the harder of the two though.
  17. Captain Hitsuguya apparently doesn't understand that fight and violence are the same thing.
  18. Welcome back I guess.
  19. A couple words 1. I'd rather be able to display a semblance of my knowledge then use the internet and this forum to get out my anger and look like a child who doesn't get that package of M and M's at Wal Mart. 2. You play Runescape. You're complaining about Runescape. Being a hypocrite is not cool. 3. I'm giving you constructive criticism and you're apparently finding it funny that people are trying to help you. I like to call people like you tools. I love how the OP can't come up with anything good and has to have Gidion come in to save his [wagon] every time someone opposes him. On your quip on not proofreading, it's pretty sad you don't proofread the one sentence of your original rant. Yes, you are a troll. On this forum, we consider people like you trolls because all you are doing is stirring up trouble instead of getting a point across. This isn't your personal "I had a bad day at school! I wanna make fun of people" forum. Most people who frequent this forum are serious and take the time to write out their rants because what is a rant? It's you complaining yes, but also trying to get a point across. And writing it in your jumbled English doesn't bring a point across, nor does it tell what your problem is. In other words, most people don't like reading one sentence ten times trying to figure out what the hell your saying. All anybody who is criticizing you is saying is that you aren't presenting your case as something that really bothers you. If it were so, then you would take the time to write it out and maybe proofread it. It turns someone away when you write like you do specifically because it shows you don't care. I love how everyone loves to gang up on Omali. Last time I ever encountered a flame war with Gideon was two years ago, and I remember him using that exact same picture of the boy scout, and I remember him acting the same way. I'm glad to see that TIF Rants Forum retains it's most likable cast. All we need is TheDayRSDied and EatRuneArrow and we would have the four horsemen of trolling. On the topic of maturity, I do think that in an area like rants, you should show a semblance of it. If you posted a topic and didn't expect criticism then you are plain and simply an idiot. And if you can't stand being criticized than this is not the forum for you. Sure, it's the internet and you can act immature and like you are seven years old again, but maybe you could make more friends and be more well liked if you didn't act like a child. We're here to talk about the game seriously, and if you don't want to act serious, then go away. Even if it is the internet, people will appreciate you if you act mature and quit cussing and whining and acting like your opinion is superior to that of others.

why arent u banned 4 being a troll yet? Hypocrites, you gotta love 'em. wink, wink; nudge, nudge
  22. Wow! The strategy guide really helped!
  23. HOW TO MAKE ME CARE MORE: I don't care much at all, but there are a couple proper ways to make me care a couple percentiles more: 1. Proper English-While you may be an internet troll or maybe even a ten year old, you could still display a semblance of grammatical skills. 2. Gay-Yay! Let's use this word as a derogatory term! And now it's time for a lesson in getting a point across: It's usually not in your best interest to use cussing and name calling when trying to get a point across. It is an improper way of getting your point across used only when you can't back up your point with facts. Not much else can be said about this little nugget of gold. If you didn't care you wouldn't have posted this on the rants forum for people to comment on. Though it is logical that your ban was for a point and maybe this loss was a sign from the Runescape gods! 1. How people care about your rant means a lot about the rant. It shows how negative your rant is, how well constructed it is not, and that you aren't going to get any sympathy. It's mostly constructive criticism sir. We here at the rants prefer proper English and good grammatical skills over bogged down "Troll language". You are trying to persuade us to give you some empathy and it seriously doesn't work when you aren't even showing that you care by taking the time to write out your rant properly. 2. The ban has a lot to do with the whole rant. When you can't back up your opinion with facts, what do you do? You name call. Which means you ran out of ideas to back up your opinion. Which means you should quit while your ahead. Thank you sir, and please try again when you have read and understood how to properly rant without coming off as a troll or child.
  24. There is a live action death note being made. Zac Efron is "Luke", and the death note corrupts his mind to make him kill people. Yes. Really. Also, live action cowboy bebop with Keanu Reeves as Spike. Thats not as bad, but still. Great so now "Luke" will randomly get into song and dances while killing people. Bebop I knew about. I wish that Japanese live action movies would come out here for longer than a day. I still want to see the live action Vampire Hunter D movies but probably never will. And the US had to wuss out when Battle Royale came out in theaters. That would've been kickass.
  25. Jeez, that was almost impossible. Can't believe I did it! Great song at the end though.
