GAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I WENT INTO WILD AND GOT KILLED BY SOMEONE SHOOTING ARROW! OMG I SO MAD I HAT YU JAGFLEX U GO TO HEL!
  4. And now for another edition of Six O' Clock with Ratchet! Thank you for the compliment, I pride myself on excellence. This sentence makes me laugh. Let's dissect it a little. The Game Wasn't Broken-It may not have been broken but there were deffinitely problems. I didn't see that many people break rules-Minus the autoers, scammers, RWTers, but they don't count. I knew no one that RWT-And because you didn't know one that meant the game was fine and there was nothing wrong. Thank you for another compliment. If you've taken the time to read a thread instead of defend your point of view then you might notice that people with your same mindset complain that it's Jagex fault, they hate Jagex, and crap like that. Yes, I do think you people are fighting to make Jagex change back to the way it used to be because never would anyone have complained about the tiniest problem or change with the game. Never before December 2007. And how did the glitches make the game easy And how did it get easier, it didn't get easier for everyone, just new players. It must not be too easy since people are dying and losing items and complaining. Old people complain that they miss the good ol' days. But you don't see them continually complaining on forums or bingo sessions that the new days are terrible. They (most at least) deal with the fact that the world is changing. This logic should be applied to the current situation. And once again, this really affects the gameplay? Is this tutor a random that shoves an ax in your head and instantly kill you? No. Some new players need a little bit of help in getting through the basics. But because you are not a noob and the update did not help you, then that makes it bad and makes it worthless. But it was the one they decided to make a year and a half ago. If you would quit complaining after what's coming up on two years, then perhaps you could learn to enjoy the game. Because seriously, adapt or leave. Get over it. Nobody should be obsessively complaining about an update in a video game this long. Sure you can complain, but not over something that happened so long ago. Really, it makes me feel like some people need to get lives... That's why there are less updates then, they are working on their new game. Live with less updates in exchange for a new game that might have a chance of appealing to your royal tastes. Oh my god  ...So because I thought that the older version of RS had problems, I am supposed to have left? No, I stayed because I lived with it. And then they change it and I ADAPT to it, and find it to be a much better experience. And why is it safer? I still don't understand that. So because there are not scammers everywhere the game suddenly becomes safer? Can you die? Can you lose items? Can you lose health? Yeah. So it's apparently not too safe... Yeah, I played when I was ten or eleven and I didn't have a forum to go to or walkthrough's so I went through the game like everyone else my age, not knowing what the hell was going on. I sure as hell did get scammed, and it was mostly because kids my age didn't understand that kind of stuff. But of course, people of your superior intelligence laugh at the children who played and didn't understand a "scam". And why are you defending scammers? Were you a scammer? But they aren't so bloody apparent. I can cut a tree down! That was a rarity in the old RS and now I can spend all day cutting down trees and actually get logs! What a great thing! I never see people buying or selling accounts, I never see anyone like that anymore compared to before... Yes, that's exactly why. I've spent the past five months working on getting my levels to 99, but have only made it to the 50's. Probably because I don't skill. I pretty much help my friend play and that's it. But of course, since you assume it, I guess I do it. Yeah, my fletching is 99 (Actually it's 4, but let's not talk about that). Funny, I've played five years and I don't find it frustrating. So what if it's easier? I got a 2008 Sedan that came without GPS and I have to use a map, and now there's an 09 model with GPS? I am so frustrated! No, I don't give a damn. You should wear your skill cape for your 99 whatever with pride since you didn't take any shortcuts to get it. I never found slayer too respected because everyone was doing it. Nobody cared what level you really were because they were too busy working on it themselves. I remember fighting werewolves with five other people, they didn't care about what levels we were or the people coming out of the slayer castle. We were too busy working on it ourselves. And why do you suddenly want every 99 you have to be respected. Wow, you have 99 woodcutting, yeah, I respect that -.- I really, to tell the truth, don't give a damn what level you are. We are playing a game, not some sort of popularity contest. The free trade that led to scams, took forever to do...yeah, I much prefer sitting five hours behind the bank at Varrock and because I was a level 40, not being able to sell my rune armor because there was a cooler level 80-something standing next to me wearing members armor. Yup, that was fun... And to you, all I'll ever be is a whiny player who is stuck in the present and is fine that the wild's gone. Why do I bother arguing? Probably because you people have some flaws in your arguments. I still think someone that has fought like this over a stupid update in a game over the course of a year and a half need to find something better to do, because seriously, there have to be better things to complain about then a little update in an online game a lot of people have never heard of. Sure, you can not enjoy the game now, but do we really have to hold a grudge like this? Get the hell over it, it's like Runescape is your life and the great god Jagex has torn the part of your soul from your body that makes you think logically. Yeah, barrows is pretty good. And so is the rest of Runescape. Seriously as many have said before me, get over it. Adapt or leave. Seriously.
  5. ^^^We clicked this topic with no idea what the OP was going to complain about...
  6. Harakiri replied to Me_Hate_Libs's topic in Rants
Exactly. The logic of this thread is flawed. Apparently, every update made by Jagex is a fail, and yet you want more updates/one update every week? No, the point of the thread is when they take a week off, their content is still just as bugged and screwed as when it would be released without a week off. And no, not more updates. Just better updates. If they took a week off, and gave us something good, I'd be cool with it. But they take a week off, and still give us crap. Now let's see how you guy can misinterpret this post. You apparently have no clue what we are talking about. Complain the new content sucks, and then complain there is not enough? So what if they take a week off to work on something? So what if they continue to release small updates that have no bearing on your play? So what if they are working on fixing the game for newer players and putting older players to the side for a little while because they think "Oh, vets have stuff to do and would understand if we helped new people". But nope, gotta complain because the updates don't affect you or do anything for you. I've said why Jagex releases buggy things into the game a couple times, and don't think I need to explain myself again.
  7. Ah the good ol' days of Runescape, where most of the annoying idiots were too busy breaking the rules to complain on a forum. Seriously though, I think the Jagex hate is fueled by a sadness that the wild is gone. I don't think people are complaining because they hate the update, I think they are complaining to keep the Jagex hate alive. Because never have I seen so many people complain about every little thing. Since when did Roger Ebert join Tip.It? Seriosuly though to the people who believe that 2004 and such were the good ol' days: That's basically like old people saying "I remember the good ol days." Yeah, the day where you were fighting in WWII and watching your best friends die around you? The cold war, where you were scared for your lives every day because nuclear missiles were pointed all over the world?" "Yeah, those good ol' days." Seriously, just because a game changes, does that mean it blows? That's like saying Red Faction Guerilla blows because it has a third person perspective and is different from it's predecessors. Runescape changed to help people just starting who couldn't figure out what to do. They got rid of the wild for obvious reasons. Every thing Jagex does is bad, sucks, and makes them idiots so why continue to remenisce about the good ol' days? Why continue to live in those times? Move on, seriously. This is 2009. Not 2004. Pull yourself to the present and quit whining. Runescape will continue to change for the rest of the time it is around. Sometimes, I think Jagex continues to do a lot of little updates because it gives people who don't give a damn something to laugh about when people complain that the little update destroyed the game.

    Untold LEgends?
  9. Yeah, is it on the PS2 or PC or what? I usually enjoy shooters that not many people have heard of, like Red Faction before they brought out Guerilla.
  10. I bought my first set at level 39...right after completing Dragon Slayer at level 38. And that was after buying five hundred of each sort of rune to mage the stupid beast. And I still had enough money to buy rune. You need to find an activity to do to get profit.
  11. People make fun of you because this is your girlfriend. http://media.photobucket.com/image/fat% ... to.jpg?o=2 OMG! I didn't know they made cyborgs made of Silly Putty!
  12. ^^I didn't even think of that  Thank you :D
  13. I tak lik tis cause 1 t00 l@zy to rite propa! Ultimately, it's your fault. Rune is not at all expensive and it should be a little expensive anyway since it's the best F2P armor. Why don't you go fishing and sell swordfish and lobsters? That's what I do.
  14. Harakiri replied to Me_Hate_Libs's topic in Rants
As I've said before, Jagex releases their content out to the world as unbugged as possible but throwing something like a new minigame or something that changes the system will always produce bugs. They release the content and then work to get rid of the bugs. You, as a player, basically are testing it. And Jagex, as the gods of the land, are fixing what you complain about and what they find wrong.
  15. Because everyone is hiding the fact that the updates suck and that's why everybody is not complaining about the "crappy updates". Seriously, why not ignore the updates if you are so hateful of them. I am sure there are other things for you to do...Jagex works hard to create updates and here you are complaining because they are not good enough. If you want the truth, with the expectations I think you are setting for Jagex, Jagex will never make a worthy update and you might as well shut up now because Jagex is never going to satisfy you and there is no use complaining.
  16. I agree! That stupid F2Per who was level three and called me a noob for cutting down the tree he was chopping at...GOD this game has gone downhill! The whole community has gone to hell! I blame Jagex for not making "noob" an illegal word to say! -.- -.- Why must everyone complain because people call them a noob? Is it really that big of a deal that some guy calls you a noob? That's like complaining because some random guy called you on the phone to call you a noob, you can't say the whole world is going downhill because a guy called you to call you a noob. I never have remembered any people complaining about being called a noob since I came to the rants forum. Is it really that big of a deal? And how does two peoples actions reflect upon the community as a whole? And why is it the F2P community to blame? Why does everyone blame F2P for everything wrong with the people playing? If we are going to blame the community, blame everyone, not just F2P, because their are dirtbags playing members as well. And what is FMing? Just a question cause I don't understand a lot of the lingo anymore. I thought it meant farming, but why would you blame F2P when you are doing a members activity? Could someone tell me?
  17. Harakiri replied to Me_Hate_Libs's topic in Rants
This thread doesn't make much sense to me. So after this year, Jagex will magically decide that every update in 2010 must be full of giant boss monster, five hour quests, and no more bugs? And does it matter if there is not an update this week? Apparently it will be full of bugs and twenty minutes of content, so I don't see why you want another one.
  18. Apparently, not All Is Great 8-) HAHA! Omali has nothing on me!
  19. Grow up says the guy with more bleeps in one post than bleeps in a Larry the Cable Guy TV special
  20. omg I'll giv u presents and munies but u gotta hold my hand and we sit in lumby n call ech uther huney an babe, k? O ya that turn me on baybe! I mary you and we have babe! 21. And Adventure Quest is an online MMORPG but because of the fact there is nothing social but PvP that means it should be sold on a disk instead of on the internet where it is easily accessible, easier to update, more open to people who don't pay attention to computer gaming as much, and costs a bit less for production. Social interaction is not a mandatory thing in an MMORPG, you could still play Runescape without it, but it is something that is a there to help benefit the experience. You can still use the chat box, you can still talk with people and if nobody else is talking then who cares. How can you change the fact that nobody feels like interacting with you. I went to Lumbridge a week or so ago to sit and see what was going on and everyone was talking. There was a conversation on Family Guy, people selling stuff, hell even someone was selling their account. Exactly as it was a couple years ago.

Y no spelling cape? Wait what?
  23. Sorry for interupting fellas. I am a hot, sexy lady looking for a hot, horny man. I just want you all to know that there will only be one right for me. If anyone would like to date me type 444. BTW, I am not a man, I am a very HAWT woman with big h00ters!
  24. Yeah. Social Interaction within a game can make or break the game. Runescape doesn't need as much social interaction because besides clans in the wild and clans fighting high level monsters, you really don't need it besides trading. I was always annoyed when I was woodcutting that people would randomly ask my level, ask me random stuff that makes no difference. As I said, this is not Adventure Quest Worlds where all monsters are open and anyone can jump into a fight and kill it. Runescape does not have quests where every five minutes you are fighting an insanely difficult boss and need a team to take it out. Social Interaction is fine in some respects, but all the random, blathering idiots who plagued places like the mines, the forest, they really aren't needed quite as much. While I am mining, as you said, I don't want to start up a random conversation. I guess it's alright to do on the internet because nobody thinks of it as two random dudes talking about random stuff. If two random dudes in the real world did it, as stated, the guy who stroke up the conversation would be made to be an idiot or a really open guy. STANDING AT LINE IN A MCDONALDS WITH "ROFLCOPTER999" AND "ISLEEPWITHYOURMOM". Roflcopter:Wow, everything looks so delicious. ISLEEP: Hmm...what to get. R: Hey dude, wassup? I: Who the [bleep] are you? R: What are you getting? I: A hamburger, holy crap go away and please don't rape me! R: SWEET!!!LOLOLOLOL! But in Runescape and other RPG's, it seems striking a conversation such as that one is...normal. It seems like when people play internet games they say "[bleep] the real world, because I am hiding behind an avatar, I am able to do anything whether it be being a woman, being twenty, being twelve, being gay..." So on and so forth. Aw the internet, the only place where I can hide behind the fact that I am a blathering fifteen year old on a rants forum (Oh wait... :? )
  25. I still wish people would understand that Jagex never came out and said "This is a social RPG". It's just an RPG. Plain and simple.
