  1. Cool stuff bro. I put one hundred times the effort in the game, and I get an emote and a different cape. The completionist cape is for completionists. If you want a cape with the same stats with none of the effort, go play on a private server. Completing most of tasks in game means just that. And with my idea Comp cape would still be exlusive. People would see loads Combat capes and very few Comp capes. You just dislike the idea because you don't mind grinding and gotten used to it. But in reality it's a bad thing. And i haven't played Runescape in a big while, and i hate Private servers. Does that mean i am not entitled to discuss the game? If you thought how absurd it is having to finish most tasks in Runescape only for another item with best cape stats, perhaps you would change your mind about grinding for rewards? Because honestly i don't think it's fair that you nor i should grind and finish the game only for a new item with better stats, just because it's been released as reward for "Completing" (aka throwing away your life) the game.
  2. Why should a combat item be so hard to obtain? The cape is a combat item just like Abyssal whip, Fire cape, Torva etc Why did Jagex have to make the best combat cape in game so hard to obtain by making it the reward for grinders? Instead of rewarding Grinders and forcing players who like combat to grind, why not make a reward for the Grinders that isn't combat related? A set of emotes A New decorative cape with great detail Just not items with stats...
  3. Gee i don't know. Most other games i played whenever a item related to combat was released you could achieve it without having to finish 90% of the game. And no we don't need trophy for combat maxing. We need items! And Comp cape's stat makes it a good item to use for Combat. As for Comp cape, if you have finished the game, then you get as extra a Dragon emote+A new and very rare cape. Combat cape will only have same stats as Comp, it will not have the emote nor the look.
  4. Good point! But it's worth a try. If i wait to long with the list it will die out in someway eventually. And if Jagex can't do it for June or July, it's cool.
  5. Well Dungeoneering, Prayer and Summoning is used in combat, so it makes sense for them to be requirement for a "Combat cape". But i guess you could make it strictly the skills you mentioned, but i don¨t know, i guess people would complain. Quite honestly i find it smart. That way people can obtain same stats of Comp cape, but not have same look. And your idea of Ranged, att, str, magic, defence and so on is very good.
  6. Can you say that again in a different way. I do not understand your message.
  7. It evolves around combat hence why.
  8. This is a idea for "Combat cape". I want to see if anyone likes it. VOTE IN POLL! Combat cape (CB): Requires : 99 Attack 99 Defence 99 Strength 99 Prayer 99 Magic 99 Summoning 99 Ranged 99 Hitpoints + Quests and Diaries tasks related to Fire cape, Soul wars cape, Ava and Ardougne cloak. Stats? Same as Completionist cape Does it have the emotes/look as Comp cape? No.
  9. Calm dude its the internet lol.... its called completetionist cape for a reason, not all things combat cape... quit crying. You want the thing your gonna have to skill. end of that story. I am calm :shades: I was just joking with you because you thought i didn¨t know what the word completionist means. And i am not crying. But the fact that this "Completionist cape" has combat stats is a problem. Because fact is: most people want that cape for it¨s stats. So why not make a "Completionist cape" that gives stats but also 3 emotes (among them Dragon emote), and a "Combat cape" where you get the current stats of Comp cape. Completionist players get emotes + stats. Combat players gets only stats. That way the Completionist players can feel "Special" and have a "Exclusive cape" And Combat players will have the stats of the cape that Comp players have.
  10. There is so many things i want to hear from you artists, but for now i want to limit this topic to sketching. I have always wanted to draw great stuff. Just like Tripsis and Misterxman. But whenever i try to for example draw a Wolf, i always feel like meeting a wall. It¨s kinda hard to describe. But i just loose all hope. So i am very curious: What tools do you have at disposal that helps you in creating your art? Drawing methods, programs, etc. Also please tell what kind of research you do before drawing something that you have never drawn before. Short: I want to know how a artist thinks before drawing what he/she is about to draw. And everything he/she uses. I ask this because i am annoyed, because i want to specialize in drawing wolfs. Because wolfs are awesome, and i got a good way to combine Runescape history with my "Wolf art". But i can¨t seem to progress much. I think i am just not used to drawing wolfs, and that in order to really make art that is really "Great" i must first experiment and fail alot.
  11. Yes lol. Did not notice myself. I don't think that's a pixel. I think it is. It looks like a pixel, and i observe pixel signatures very often.
  12. Misterxman your art is amazing. Your very talented and there is so many people who hope to become as skilled as you are. And Jagex is a big fool for not noticing your works. Also your digipaint for Runefest is really nice.
  13. What's up with misleading title...
  14. Ditto, about the only thing i've ever drawn that was half-way decent was an eye... and I watched a video on how to draw it the night before and was studying it for hours.lol So the sketch was not something that you drew? It was something someone had already drawn and you just did same thing?
  15. Keep them coming. The list will be posted on RSOF 20th or 25th May so that Jagex can read through it days before June "BTS".
  16. I don't see how i ignored or misunderstood your points. And just to make things clear, i am no longer debating that Jagex should go on a less grind path. But here is my idea of class system could work: If you level Herblore, you would achieve all things related to Herblore as you level up and achieve new "Tasks" Same thing for all other classes. And nothing stops you from leveling other skills. You can do it just like now. Only difference is that to wear melee items, you must have melee levels only to acquire them. So in that sense Quests monster and item rewarding would be cut off. However other requirements relating to the skill your doing would rise. So acquiring new items or monster spots for combat for example won't be without requirements, but the requirements will be demanded for the skill relevant to the monster spot/item.
  17. About classes: Read a earlier post i made recently. But just incase you ignore stuff, i am not suggesting that you should choose a class and stick with it. I am suggesting that a Archer should be able to access Ranged weapons and items and monster spots without having to level other skills. It's to late for that though i guess. So incase you don't get it, you will have access to everything in Runescape. But your choices will be more towards classes. For example if you level Melee combat, you will have access to melee items. You shouldn't be forced to have 87 Crafting because that's needed for a Quest that has a good spot to kill monsters. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ How would a player not be elite if they finish all the combat activities in game, achieve 99 in all combat skills plus 120 Dungeoneering. How is that not a elite player? Just because it's less grinding? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Whether the cape is worth my time or not, or if it's stats is not relevant to discuss. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Whatever class you represent if it's a overall class called "Completionist player" or "50 Skiller-50% Combat", i don't think your right player to represent Combat. But enough of this. We have gone off topic. And like i said Runescape changing is to late.
  18. I never said you should be restricted from doing other skills. But i think Combat should not relay on non-combat skills for Quests. So i am suggesting that Quests and Diaries should not give Combat items or monster spots as rewards. Also i haven't played Runescape in a while now.
  19. Jagex should have made it so for Trimmed Comp cape you had to get these items as drop solo: GWD boss drops KQ boss drops KBD boss drops Tormented demon boss drops etc etc
  20. All games are a "waste" of time. :P Yes, giving the best stats to the most difficult to get items is wrong. Someone who has completed everything should get something a level 50 would wear. Give the average level players at around 110-120 all the elite items, they're obviously the ones who have spent the most time training. Monster hunting was fine before this cape was released, and it is fine with it. You aren't required to have the cape to kill anything. I doubt you would even notice a difference with the cape. It's not like it gives 25+ more in all attack bonuses or 50+ more defence then the previous best cape. If you don't have torva or pernix, you should focus more on those then this cape. You'll notice way more by changing to those compared to changing a cape. Oh and don't call me a skiller as well. If I were a skiller, I would hardly have any of my combat stats. I'm a Completionist Player. Yes, all games are a waste. I am just saying Jagex should go the path of classes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Giving combat stats to a item that requires non-combat skills is wrong. People should not do skills they don't do just because of a item or monster. And i did not say that a level 50 player should get Comp cape, but what i said was that to get the Comp cape you should only need Combat related skills and activities: 120 Dungeoneering, 99 Slayer and Combat, Champion's guild challenge etc. All of this takes time and effort and is not a easy task. So if anyone has said a level 50 should achieve Comp cape without any effort, it is YOU. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Monster hunting will be better if you have great items. And that is why i want that cape, but i don't find it fair that i have to get 99 in all non-combat skills for a Combat cape. As for Pernix and Torva, i am well aware of them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From my encounter with the term "skiller" it has become a word for a player who works on all skills. So just because you have 138 Combat it does not mean your not a skiller. And nice that you got a new name for skillers, but it's just that, a new name for skillers. Point being: Someone who mostly skills or completes Runescape tasks should not represent Combat. Because Combat is path many players take. And it's not just general Slaying. And because Runescape Combat is attatched to non-combat skills Runescape have become a bad grind game. I had a friend who went with his clan to PK instead of joining me to Corporeal beast. That makes him the class "PK-er". If you complete tasks you can call yourself "Completionist player", but hell no if your class is "Monster hunter"/Combat classes.
  21. I am not all about reward. But monster hunting demands the best items in the game. And i want to "Perfect" my character's equipment. Because i want to wreck monsters because i find that fun. I find the new milestone capes (40-99) boring. Yes, even the max cape. I also find the trimmed Comp cape boring as well. For a player who likes combat in Runescape, it's mostly about stats. But i guess it's hard for you to see it from my perspective considering your a skiller. P.S I am very excited to see how Zaros and Elf storyline develops. Am i still all about rewards?
  22. Then is it fair for non-skillers to be indirectly forced to grind for Completionist cape (untrimmed) for it's stats for combat stiatuions when the only skills you should finish are: 99 Slayer/Combat and 120 Dungeoneering + Combat activities (Champion's challenge). Also: You can meet other skillers and have fun with your clan without grinding You can mess bots up without grinding Your a skiller I am what i would like to call for a "Forced skiller". I leveled my skills to 80+ ONLY because Jagex have made combat items and spots relay on non-combat skills. Anyhow my point is: Because Jagex has done so, it gives players who love to have the best equipment to just go along and grind non-combat skills. Even though achieveable, finishing most challenges in game only for a cape that gives the best stats? That's a fail path.
  23. Well you have to factor in that most of the people who buy it are actually enjoying the content and don't share your opinions, tough as that may be to comprehend. Not tough to comprehend, just strange. Often updates are methods to level a skill, but what's point of a skill if it's potential use is not updated? For example, instead of releasing a D & D here and there, work on a update to make Firemaking skill really useful. Besides i have factored in other players to a small extent. And it was meant towards new updates not current ones.
  24. What is the point of membership if there haven't been to much of good content lately? :???:
  25. How can you like grinding? You loose time irl for a game? If you like grinding to any extent then you like all grinding. And i bet you the worlds money that if i was in charge of Runescape, i would make you grind til your lungs goes defect because you screamed for a year "I hategrinding!!!!!!!!!!!!". People who dislike grinding come back to Runescape because they are addicted to Runescape. It's not because: OMFG! Jagex released a Pink cape with a Golden Dragon emote! It shall be mine in a year! Horray to Grinding!
